Cashed our checks. Never so happy that the government took 2775 dollars.

After one month of sending in my wife and children's Aos, I received Rfe, Because I wrote one check for 3 apps, plus the total was wrong. It looked like it was picked through and possibly partially processed, the lady explained that the app was good other than the check,. I sent back express mail to the Chicago P.o Box May 16. The letter that accompanied my app said it would get special attention and had to attach that letter to the front of my app. 3 weeks later and no biometrics or even the checks cashed. I cannot call back until May 13, that will be the 30 day grace period from RFE. I'm worried and tired of waiting..

If your wife is due to arrive or interview 2011, they want 2008-2010, plus current employer letter and pay stubs. Do you have significant assets? For every 3,000 in assets =1,000 in income.

You will figure out a way. I work 2 jobs because I wanted to be well over the poverty level . I brought 3 people over plus my family which makes 6.
Best of Luck. Rich.

Your children are counted as dependents. so you make enough for yourself and the the 2 twins? Your wife needs a joint sponsor or Co sponsor? that would be a total of 7 dependents which he needs to make around 42,000. Get a second job, the employment letter will help show income.

VietnamMy Journey might be over

Dude.. You don't know Vietnamese culture and you are so out of line it is unreal...

Yes he is hard line. What of Vietnamese culture? Is Kevins wife acting like any other Vietnamese woman that comes to the states? I hardly think so.If she truly loves her husband he wouldn't be posting of this topic.. She had 4 years to learn and what to expect of her life in the States. She has family here that I'm sure could of filled her in. Regardless what country your spouse comes from there adjustment period.

VietnamMy Journey might be over
My sympathies are with you. My wife's been here since febuary. she's adjusting very well, but we have our times. I know in my wifes culture(Khmay) she would be an embarrassment to her family if she went back to Vietnam. Unless I was very abusive. She cooks her traditional foods every day and have not forced American food to her, she calls her family every 2 to 3 weeks. I think these little things help her cope. My wife's 35 and I brought her 2 kids so our stories are a bit different. I hope after the long journey you had that your wife can stick it out with you and compromise. Does she work? I know thats my wifes biggest ###### now is that she wants to work(waiting on AOS).
Best of luck. Rich

Ps. We will not visit Vietnam till another 3 to 4 years, that was her idea. Right now our concentration is raising our children and getting them ready for college.

VietnamWhen your SO finally arrived at U.S. airport.
She arrived the day the Midwest had its worst blizzard of the year, all the flights out of Chicago were cancelled. I went to work that morning until I happened to track her flight on my cell and found out it was cancelled, i panicked knowing I had very little time to get to Chicago before she would arrive 11am, I raced home and jumped in my 4 wheel drive. the weather was nasty and I got there in 4 hours instead of 2 1/2. i found her luckily in the international baggage claim before they went through to the POE officer. her two children ran out the doors immediately , my heart melted but I kept my composure. my fiancée did not exit till she received all her luggage. She is very shy so there was no big hugs or kisses but that didn't matter, the hardest part of our Visa Journey was over. My life is great now and our families mixed well without any complications. Congrats to you once again!
