hello..my fiancee and i are having problem with my income and tax return..my 06,07 tax return was below poverty guidelines, then my 2008 was i become a dependent on my stepdad tax return because i go to school..fe filed the petition last feb09.i got a new job last april09.,i got an employment letter stating that i earn almost $28,300 a year..the problem is..i got 3 kids from my ex wife who is from mexico,we divorced last nov2008..And my ex has the full custody of my kids,so means my ex has the full right of them,,they were not included also on my recent tax return,i do live alone, but i do give for the child support..will they still be included on my household?my fiancee interview is so soon so were freaking out about my tax return and income
The Embassy/Consulate will look at your most recent proof of employment/income - so your pay stubs and employment letter will be looked at the most, your current income may/may-not match what is on your previous income tax returns - so this is not a problem.

If your children are not claimed as a dependent - you should not need to count them as members of your household for this purpose.

and we hear that they do not accept co sponsor
They do accept co-sponsors. They may not accept co-sponsors from folks that are not an immediate relative/family-member (for example).

so does it means we will only count my income for the 2 household?me and my fiancee?

yes

Please let me know what I have to do???? Thank crying.gif

Not gonna happen more than likely. It is now part of a government file and you don't have access to it anymore. You will more than likely have to go to wherever you got it before, and if that is not possible....your never gonna have it again.

Sorry to tell you this, but you were WRONG!!!! Not only did I receive a copy of the papers turned into the Embassy the day of our interview, but the Embassy personally contact me via e-mail to advise me that my wife could pick it up any Tuesday after 1:00pm NO APPOINTMENT THROUGH CALL CENTER NEEDED!!

My wife just got back from the embassy with a copy of everything needed. Try not to be so negative next time "pizza boy". Unless you speak from personal experience, you should try encouraging readers.

Great you got lucky and i'm not in the habit of sending people on wild goose chases. Glad to hear you got what you needed, maybe next time you will keep copies so as to not put yourself thru such NEGATIVE times in your life.

And the name is pizzadude, JUNIOR

I will email now the consulate and keep my finger crossed that the naturalization certificate is enough!
I cannot believe how stupid I am!

Things will work out fine no matter what in the end, this is a difficult and arduous task you and your fiance have undertaken. Lots of us made some errors and things we wished we would have done different during our journeys.

Like others have said, step back, take a deep breath and stop hammering headbonk.gif on yourself.

question ..

does my co-sponsor have to give her w2s from the past 3 years and her most recent tax return? or are the w2s fine? if she needs her most recent tax return does she have to give the whole booklet? what is it suposed to look like?

Its copies of the forms that she submits to the IRS including documentation (w-2's, 1099's etc...). The easiest thing to do is call the IRS at 18008291040 and get copies of her "tax transcripts" then that is all you will have to provide no need for w-2's or 1099's.

Good Luck

Thank you sooo much for all of your responses!! I will most definitely be there with him for support. During the interview, are all of the questions directed at him, am I just there for support or will they ask me any questions??

Also, I dont know if the guidelines for the Ankara embassy have changed recently, but they had us sent his original birth certificate to them with the last packet of paperwork. They also have a copy of it as well as the original english translation of it. I was just wondering, after the interview they will give us back his original birth certificate right?? Seeing as it is a vital document that he will probably need when he is in the united states. Does anyone know if they will give us back his original english translation either?

They had you send them the ORIGINAL or a certified true copy of the original?

QUOTE (Richard Mace @ Aug 27 2009, 09:54 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I will be attending my fiancee's interview which will be only the second time I will fly to see her. I don't see this as being frowned upon as you are flying there to support her and we all know how expensive it is to fly to the Philippines. Kevin@Anna mentioned as a USC go straight to the front of the line with my fiancee. Is this normal, won't other fiancee's waiting in line get upset or do I have preference to go to the head of the line since I am the USC who is actually there with his fiancee. I would like to hear any comments on this issue. Thanks and hope to hear from you.

Not sure about the "front of the line thing" Elena and I waited like everyone else, but it was worth the trip to be with her during the interview.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionAffidavit of Support
QUOTE (Montana + Joseph @ Aug 28 2009, 02:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Alright, I'm sure this question has been asked a million times before, but searching for answers is taking forever.
My fiance is from England. We're about to file the I-129F petition, but would like to get a better understanding of what has to happen & when so we're prepared when the time comes.

1) Can I use a cosponsor for the affidavit? I am a student & work part time. I make a decent amount of money, but it's not up to the USCIS standards. My mother would happily be a cosponsor & she makes WAY more than 125% above the poverty line. If I can use her as a cosponsor, does she just fill out her own I-134 & send it along with the required documents & my I-134?

Yes she will need to if London embassy allows cosponsors...check link below.

2) I assume the Affidavit of Support comes after the NOA2. When should I start gathering paystubs, etc?

Yes, it comes after NOA2, start gathering paystubs a few months ahead of interview.

3) Do I send the Affidavit (and my mom's) to the US Embassy in London, or do I send it to my fiance? If I send it to my fiance, does it go in Packet 3, Packet 4 or does he take it along to the interview? (From what I understand, the affidavit is not required, but is most likely going to be requested by the consulate.)

Check links below

We appreciate any answers.
You all are fantastic help.

hello readers of VJ.

i am applying for k1 visa, and have already got NOA2.
while filing out I-134, i notced i am on the border line for poverty line so my dad will be co sponserer.
now my question is this.
do both my parents need to fill out I-134 seperately as they file tax return together? coz only one person can sign on the form.
and is there anything else in addition i need to do if we are co-sponsering my fiancee?

thanks for your time and help in advance.

Only one can be the co-sponsor. You need copies of their 2008 tax returns and any documentation to substantiate the income...w-2's or 1099's. Also copy of birth certificate / passport biographical page to show citizenship.

So when I fill out my annual income, which is 125% of the poverty line for four people (there are two of us). Do I need to list other property like my car? I don't have stocks bonds, life insurance, or real estate, and I prefer not to list my bank accounts. For evidence I am listing my merit raise notification, my pay stubs, and my tax transcript. Is this enough?

Yes, this is the best way because the document comes directly from the IRS whereas anyone can make a 1040 and make copies.

Do you ever want to go? Is his family still in Germany?

We had all talked over video chat. His parents came to the wedding but his brother's family couldn't come. I want to travel everywhere but he doesn't want to go back to Germany. Benny actually said something similar to, "Once you've seen one European city you'll know what Germany is like."

Benny hadn't been to the Dr in 20-ish years before the K1 process. So, he was diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Benny has started to complain that he can't eat anything now. I'm a picky eater myself so it's difficult to figure out what I can fix for us to eat now.

Let's start with desserts. Does anyone have suggestions for simple desserts that would satisfy a German appetite?
