K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Proof of relationship	So we are spending 10 days together in june and will have plenty of proof of trip, however to be sure i was going to starting printing out our skype conversations every sunday for the week. First 4 weeks combined is well over 500 pages---what proof should be suffient--and please dont tell me 20000 printed pages of skype---thanks in advance! Why don't you install oovoo. YOu can take screen shots of both of you with your names. Setting up oovoo, use both of your real names that appear on your birth certificates, not nick names. You can also get a nice call history with date, time and lengh of call. I open that up and put it on top of my oovoo screen which shows my name and then the call history box shows everything else and my fiancee's name. No as many pages with Skype which will be a majot pain. I take 4 screenshoots of us talking durin a month. Beginning, middle and end, Those screenshots with you call history will be a lot less than what you do with Skype and I feel is much better. To do the screenshot you press the "ctrl" + the "Prnt Scrn" keys together. I then put it in MS Paint and then crop i so I only get the oovoo screens and you can also see the date/time form my PC. A lot of people have premarital sex, so that goes out the window. Sex is sex whether you are married or not. My opinion is it doesn't matter unless she said he's my husband.I never had a problem with me wearing my set this way; all knew I was engaged.I never said he's my husband before we married People have their own customs and the way they wear the rings It's only my opinion as I said but I don't know what happen with this lady when she arrived AYMAN_RINA I agree with you. To think that if she wore her wedding set was the cause of her being denied and refused entry on her K1 is just plain ignorant. Like I said I gave my fiancee her who set o wear. I did this with my ex from the Philippines back in 2010 and she did not get refused entry. Of course I flew with her so they may not want to have tried anything that dumb. I just find it hard to beieve that wearing the wedding set is a cause for denial. My two cents. By the way she is wearing them to keep the set together. I don't see harm in it. It will be difficult to grasp a good idea of what happened at LAX because the S Korean fiancee basically doesn't understand English and the American fiance (OP) doesn't speak S Korean. Because of this its pretty impossible for the SK fiance to accuratley relate what occured between her & immigration to the OP and the OP to correctly tell us VJers the details. Just going to have to wait for paperwork. What could have happened: 1)CBP asks what address will you be staying/spouse's address? Fiance answers wrong and later tells OP that CBP asked to describe his home. 2)S Korean fiance may have repeatedly refered to OP as husband. 3)Giving OP wedding band. Officers in their experience thinks its unusual for foreign unmarried female to have a wedding band and not be married (suspicion compounded by calling OP husband). 3)During the wedding band exchange, officers may have been confident in their decision to deny entry because the OP & fiance hardly if ever spoke & the little spoken chances are showed the strong language barrier between the USC & SK. On #2, I don't think her wearing a wedding band is the cause for anything. My fiancee is wearing her engagement ring and wedding band and we are just engaged. That certainly doesn't sound like the typical K1 story. Sorry to hear things are off to a stressful start. From what you've told us here it does seem that being with you is not high on her priority list. If she wants to stay, she has to marry you. There is a small, small chance for her to adjust status without marrying you. But that's not something you should hold out as a threat or inducement to come to you. My personal opinion: be very wary and don't allow your emotions to cloud your judgement. Have you talked about you going to DC to meet her and the family? If she says no, then it is sounding more like you're being taken advantage of. I'd like o know how someone who came on a K1 and left, doesn't marry you can have a small chance of AOS. It won;t happen. When the 90 days up she is SOL. If I was him I would not even let her around me or back in the house. so she doesn't try to make a false VAWA complaint against him. Let her family pay for her ticket back or provide ICE with the address you know she is at if you have it. Let her get deported. Don't be weak and let your heart and good nature be taken care of. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1- RFE	This is weird, are they asking for the documents you submitted 8 years ago? My advice to people who have to file IMBRA waiver is to marry first and then file CR, this path avoids the IMBRA requirement. I don't think all IMBRA Waivers for limitations are denied. His must be a unique situation and something must not be right. I filed one and I am expecting it to be approved. I file 3 months short of my first K1 petition being 2 years old. I am no a criminal, no history of violence, domestic violence or abuse of the immigration system. Now I am past the 2 year mark, and almost at my 5 month mark for my NOA1. No RFE for me yet, but I don't expect one because I documented everything well and sent more than enough information for them. My advice to the OP is to submit what they are requestng again. Surely they won't flat out deny him if he sends what the RFE asks for and it satifies their requirements. I didn't look at his timeline, but I am curious to see what it is for his pettition. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Approved I-129F sent to Manila Consulate, not NVC	Hello VJ'ers, I received my hard copy of the NOA2 today for my approved I-129F petition. This is my second I-129F petition, which was approved in conjunction with an IMBRA Waiver for limitations. I hard copy says it has been sent to the Manila Consulate and not the NVC. It also has the standard lingo of being entered into a multiple K1 petition database, which is what I expected since it is my seconf k1 petition. So I have no way of finding the MNL case number now, because it looks like it will not be processed by the NVC. Has anyone had this happened to them where it is sent directly to the Manila Embassy or any other countries embassy? I have the number to call for the interview, but I don't know if they will be able to help me or tell me what the MNL case number is once they receive the petition. THe number I have is (214) 571-1600 and I can calll between 8pm to 8am Manila time. Any information from someone that this has happened to would be appreciated. Thanks. It should also contain that if there any questions, then they can call your HR Department. I never had a problem and to be honest they may not even ask for it, since you will be providing your most recent paycheck stub, W2's and IRS transcripts. Good Luck. Question #10 says i have submitted a visa petition to U.S citizenship and immigration services on behalf for the following.should i put my ex? being i did this when i petition for her back in 08. or also say none? Thanks in advance! Question # 9 you have to put your ex-wife as your current financial support affidavit is in effective unless she left the U.S. and abandoned her LPR status. Provide her name, A#, etc... For Question #10 it is your current fiancee you are petitioning for, not your ex-wife. Question #9 takes care of her. I hope this helps you out. I had to do this for me as I had filed a previous support affidavit. They will count your ex-wife in the required income, so if it was your fiancee and you and you didn't have anyone else in your household, they would base it on 3 not 2, because your ex-wife still has to be accounted for on the affidavit. They told me 15 business days, but I called again on Friday. Wait one week, then call. Then call a few days after that. I wouldn't suggest calling three times a day or every day because you'll just stress yourself out. To each their own. I did it because I can, right. Praise the Lord, we already got our NOA2. o:-) I just want to ask if it's okay to call the NVC to verify if they already received the forwarded petition of my fiance from the USCIS and to get our case number after 2 weeks of receiving NOA2 even it was stated on the NOA2 that we should call after 4 weeks? God Bless us all.! I started calling after 3 daysand continued everyday. THey will give you the 15 business day (3 weeks) speech. The second week I called 3 times a day. 2 weeks from my NOA2 I receive the case number the second ti,e I called. They process your petition at the NVC anytime during the work hours so keep trying. Once you receive the case # have your fiancee pay her VISA fee and then within 4-24 hours you can schedule your interview online. She can actually pay it now at BPI and it is good for 1 year. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	relgious non - legal wedding in the philippines	This was exactly our concern prior to getting married. I happened to have a US tourist visa so I was able to visit my fiancé while our K1 petition is being processed. During my visit, we met with his parish priest to tell him about our wedding plans. We thought we could do the seminar while I was visiting as a tourist, but the parish required a 6-month pre-cana seminar and the schedule was for a later date which would not fit in to our schedule or I would have to overstay my tourist visa, so our only option was to do the seminar when I get back on a K1 visa. We tried to explain to him the 90-day restriction of the fiancé visa and asked him if we can just attend the Engaged Encounter Seminar (which is only a 3-day seminar), but he said he can’t allow it. To our surprise, we got his “blessing” to have the civil wedding for immigration purposes, HOWEVER, he made it clear that while we are legally married, we cannot consummate the marriage until we have the church wedding. This was not an issue because I was also scheduled to have a major surgery at that time which required months of recovery. So, we had our civil wedding in the US and 5 months later, we had our church wedding in the Philippines. It is best that your fiancé talk to his parish priest and explain the situation. Some priest may be lenient about it. He might allow you to attend the Engaged Encounter Seminar in lieu of the 6-month pre-cana. I am recently coverted to th Catholic faith, but let me tell you when I marry my fiancee in a couple of weeks, I will consummate my marriage as much as I want. I will be legally married and although I am now Catholic I don't believe in all the bull that the Church tries to pull telling you you cannot make love to each other because you don't have the Catholic seal of approval. I guess that is what confession is for, but in my heart if I am married, I m married and do not feel I am committing a sin. A lot of Catholics don't believe everything that the Catholic faith teaches or does. Just my feelings and my view. I guess I will hav to go to confession sooner or later. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	relgious non - legal wedding in the philippines	Anyone here know if it is possible to have a religious non - legal wedding in the Philippines while waiting for the k1 visa? Situation is, me and my fiance are both catholic and would really prefer a religious wedding over a civil one however it would take 4mos seminar in US before we can apply for a catholic wedding and the k1 only allows for 30days stay I come from a very conservative Catholic family and they too would disapprove of a civil wedding over a religious one. My fiance, a wonderful person, would also want to honor and respect this tradition. I dealt with this before. Talk to your priest in the US where you want to do the Catholic wedding. Explain the 90 days to get married requirement. He can give you the personailty/compatibility questionaire you can take or mail to your fiancee to answer and send back. You will complete one. THey cant do in office counseling as part of the Catholic pre-marital counseling. If you can give her a MagiJack it would make calling her from the priest office much easier, no international long distance charges.When she arrives on her 90 day K1 VISA you both can do the in office counseling with the preist, attend a Pre-Cana seminar as a requirement and then the preist will normally assign you a married Catholic couple that you will meet with several times, they will talk to you, give you advice on marriage and also have your personality questionaires, etc.... after they sign off on the paperwork, you can talk to the preist about your marriage date. The preist will need a recent baptismal certificate showing she is free tomarry as a Catholic. She can bring this when she comes to the US on the K1 VISA. You will still be okay have other strong evidence listed above. Having pictures of you, her and her family shows that you are accepted into and part of the family. You can still get approved without family pics, but maybe give the other supporting evidnece. Why no pictures with family? Are they to far away? Good luck and relax, you will be okay. Use software like oovoo and take screen shot of you both talking with your PC date/time in the lower right corner. Also oovoo has a good call history that you can take screen shots of also and put in a word document. Take plenty pictures of you and her with family. It is looked at as more genuine. Cards, letters, airline tickets, passport with entry/exit stamps of your visit. If you use FB as supporting evidence, better be using your real names or she will have to get her NBI clearance with an a.k.a. and additional Cenomars for the other aliases used. If you are not married and filing a K1 petition, do NOT call each other wife or husband, hubby, etc.... A Large age gap hasn't really mattered because it is common in the Philippines. I have a 25 year age gape between Jovi and I and she was approved for her K1 VISA. The CFO made us jump through hoops with additional requirements because I had been married before and my last ex-wife was a Filipina. Just document everything well and have plenty of proof of a genuine relationship. Pictures with her and her family are a big plus, money remittances, etc... Good Luck. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Fiance Visa Service	Hello Tim/Mav, thank you very much for your response to this thread Yes i do comprehend the terminologies and what they refer to...and I also do understand these companies are basically just 3rd party...and in the real and simple sense can just provide guidance and support from putting together the petition package to embassy interview, but my fiance is quite a busy guy..big responsibilities at work, so for his side, he would like to be guided by whom they refer to themselves as 'experts' to save time, in my case i can contribute through reading, and making inquiries and finding free and reliable guidance which by the way this wonderful website is definitely perfect for and thus....this post Your response is appreciated and oh God bless the two of you! No one is that busy. He has time off so he can research the guides here on VJ. The process is really not that difficult and will save you a lot of money. If the agency makes a mistake on the paperwork and everyone is human and it can happen, then you wasted your money and will still get an RFE. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	k3 and back for cr1	as far as I know you get your visa in your passport, not your green card while over there.
