National Visa Center (Dept of State)letter from nvc
I may be mistaken but with her being in PI I don't think anything gets sent directly. I think you just download a packet to finish up.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

a quick question here if someone can help me at least speculate till i can further contact my wife! since the nvc knows that im the choice of agent and everything goes through me as it has been, and knowing as you can see in our timeline were about to have case completed at the nvc,at this point what would the nvc possably be sending my wife? one good thing about this is it tells me everything i did so far is correct,no rfe's and all documents are correct and i already know of course for awhile that all fees are paid,so im just wondering again what they might be sending her?could this possably be the instruction letter to my wife telling her about her interview appointment and the need for a medical exams for her n my stepdaughters and are about to notify me by email of the same? any ideas from anyone would be appreciated even gud educated guesses just so much excited  thk you

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsIs NVC too slow too like USCIS?

I don't know about the IR-1/CR1 but I know that with the K1, you can get your Manilla Case Number within a week to 10 days after you get your NOA2. So I hope it's the same type of speed.

Thank you all.

I'm getting all information. We want this done as soon as possible and we will have all the pre-requisites done before the interview so as soon as the Visa is issued we can get back here :)

PhilippinesProof of income for the Manila Embassy?

Every company is required to send you a W-2 at the end of the year (ok they have until the end of January the following month) for income tax purposes. What have you been using to file your taxes if you have not gotten a W-2?

Well I am divorced and I believe my ex-wife has the tax returns for the last few years, my W2s are not currently in my possession.

According to the embassy instructions that Hank provided, you are going to need at least last year's tax return or transcript. If self-employed, 3 years will be needed per I-134 instructions. Some who are not self-employed go ahead and send 3 because ordering transcripts is quick, easy, and free when done online at IRS website. It's just going above the minimum if not self-employed (for Manila Consulate anyway). If you don't have your W2/s from your employer/s, you need to contact the employer, and they could possibly generate a copy. Otherwise, that is what tax transcripts are for. Tax transcripts (even if it is the last tax year) can be used as an alternative to the 1040.

Thank you. I will get this years and last years. My ex says she has them and will let me have them, but she always keeps really good track of all past and present paperwork so I don't care if she has them.

So I can just send a copy of the W2s right? I don't want to send the originals.

How do you get your old W2s I know how to get a copy of the tax returns but not the W2s. I've had the same job for almost 10 years so it's the only W2s I'll need.

Also, I read that Manila only wants 1 year of transcripts.

Reading the instructions it does not state to include any past tax transcripts unless you are self employed. I think that's what I'm wondering about.

PhilippinesSputum Culture results help
Hello,

My fiancee and I have an unfortunate coincidence that her embassy interview is scheduled for May 28th and so is her sputum culture results. And she can't have the embassy interview without finishing her medical exam... So we've been trying to get the results each day after her 8 weeks of sputum culture has passed, but they aren't in yet.

The man who answers the phone is really no help... I asked if he can call someone and ask when they expect the results to be ready and he won't do it and tells us to call back. For some reason, it seems to me that he likes to create more work for himself by having to keep answering our calls. Anyway, back to the story... the man said that she can still have her interview if she can get her results on Wednesday because the results are sent electronically - is this true?? We are also unable to change her interview date (I tried several times) because it is st lukes that will make the change...

The man we call is like a broken record - "no results yet sir"... and of course my fiancee and I are getting anxious because it is so close now. Has anyone gotten their results earlier? She has already past the 8 weeks. We're looking for any ideas or courses of action we can take to help our case along.

Thanks for your help!
Jeff

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionLooking for someone to try to dumb it down for me.....
Last year, we were supposed to turn in the rest of my husbands paperwork and then wait for the call to tell us when our appointment in Juarez, MX would be. However, I was largely pregnant with our baby so our Atty stalled for us by sending in an in complete packet. They (gov) then sent a request for more (the missing) stuff. We had a 12 month deadline that is up in March 2010. When we turn this in, we will have to be prepared to go at any time. I have 5 chidren here. I obviously, can not, take them there, can I? Does anyone have a clue how long this takes? I heard it is hard to get a hardship waiver, but we will literally starve without him. My family would be destroyed. My step-daughter is here with him. She has been living with us since she was 3 and she is 8 now. If he is there for months she will go back with her mother. Isn't this hardship? I do not even want to do it b/c I have heard of people being there for more than a year and longer. Does anyone know what this next step is about?
