I did try the application number from the appointment letter for biometrics, but it still did not work.

just for your info there is alot of us cr-1 filers in Nov/Dec that is not showing up with receipt numbers from our noa1's we are getting the same error u are getting...alot of us called and they said up to two months to show up online or maybe never :blink:

I received an email this morning at 1:15 of my approval. I figured I would be approved between 120-150 days. I calculated that based on the country of my fiance and the information supplied from fellow vj'ers. Mine was approved in 125 days.

Also, I sorted the K-1 timelines in a way that shows the latest K-1 visas submitted and scrolled down to see when the latest approvals occurred. For the past week or 2 it had stayed on January 16. I knew that my time was coming because my NOA1 is dated January 22. I just didn't expect the approval this week.

I'm not familiar with the K-3 timelines, but being a January filer your time should be coming soon.

Based on my experience, it took at most 6 months before I received my corrected GC (sent it back because of an error from them).

I hope you have filed a report about this with the police and had an affidavit of loss in your position as proof, just in case, you know the "identity theft" thing. Who knows what they (who got hold of her ids) gonna do about it. I agree with Haole though, that it is safe to file a replacement of her GC.

Better yet, call USCIS so they can advise you on what to do.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionA few Q's about filing to remove conditions
We're set to apply to remove conditions on my husbands GC this March. I have a few questions before I start compiling the paperwork. After reading around on the board I'm a little confused about 2 things...

1. Do we have to submit Sponsership paperwork w/this application?
2. Is there another Medical exam needed?

As far as the "proof" of being married the past 2 years. I'm going to post what all I can thing of that I can send & I know it's not alot (or so I'm thinking), so I'd like honest opinions on if it's "enough".

Marriage Certificate (obviously lol)
Rental Lease w/both our names plus 3 kids
Birth Certificates for our 2 children together
Joint Bank account
His credit card bill mailed to our shared home
Gas bill in his name in this address
Electric bill in my name in this address
Title to car in both names

That's all I can think of. We don't have life insurance. None of the kids are in school yet so he's not on their contact list. Health insurance for the kids is from the state right now and he is listed as in the house with them...could I get a print out saying he's listed as living here to help for "proof"? WIC also has him listed...other then that, I can't think of anything else. Hopefully it's enough??

I posted not too long ago with my list of evidence I planned on sending in with the form. Now I have a couple more q's before I copy everything for my records. Just a FYI, I am the USC.

1. We do not have joint utility bills. Gas is in his name. Electric in mine. Cable is in his. Credit card in his name only. I know I will be sending a few bills from each place in his name proving he gets service here. QUESTION: Should I send in the electric bills in MY name to prove I live here with him or just the bills (gas & such) that are in his name?

2. Someone suggested bills spanning over our marriage since the AOS was approved. I can get only get his credit card from the previous address (where AOS was approved). Gas was turned on in his name at our current home only. Cable was put in his name here just recently (couldn't afford it before). I can get the joint bank account from old address though. :)

3. There is a Q on the form asking if we've moved since AOS. We have BUT we did a change of address with them. Should we still put our old address on the form to be safe?

Good idea to check before mailing....
Some people write their A# on each page to make sure they don't get mixed up with others' documents or get lost.... I don't think I did that and it was ok for me.
When sending the envelop, you can use Priority Mail with Delivery confirmation, but make sure you write:
"Attention: I-751 petition to remove conditions of status" under the address so it goes to the proper department a little faster.

These are suggestions and not required but it gets your application faster in the right hands.

We're slacking big time (PR for my husband ends May 30th) but we had to get up the remaining money for the application. Just want to double check a few thing before I take it to the post office today. I have all the evidence/cover letter/money order together. I *thought* I seen on a post here (can't seem to find it) that someone wrote something on the top of every page they sent...but can't remember what. And I thought someone said they wrote "ATTN: so and so" above the address on the envelope...again, can't remember what. Are these things I should do before mailing our papers?

About a week ago we got our biometric appointment for my husband. Notice date was May 10 2010 saying to coem in June 4th. Yesterday we got ANOTHER letter with notice date May 14 2010 saying to come in June 1st. Which day does hubby go to capture his biometrics?

Yes, same problem here. Did you get the biometrics apt letter though? They say only the receipt number there works online but we still haven't received mine after 6 weeks :(



Yes we have already gotten our Bio letters (had 2 sent with different days but went to the earlier one) and have already completed the biometrics. I didn't even pay attention to their being a different reciept number..hmm...off to check that out. :P

Yes and my wife will only carry her copy along with her drivers license and other ID's. Too much of a chance for it to be lost or stolen and if we have tickets to travel to the Philippines it would cause a major issue if lost and not with us at the time of departure.

Not sure if this is the proper place to ask this but my wife received her 10 year green card in the mail today and we are confused as to if she must carry it on her person or should it be locked up in a safe deposit box or personal safe for safety of not losing it? Thanks for all that replied. I was unable to get the transcripts - IRS said would be approx one month. So, I chose to just send a complete copy of our tax returns - better to give them more information than not enough.

So our wait - begins again.....I sent the pkg out priority mail on Saturday it arrived in NE today at 4am. I am sure I will be back reading the forums soon.

Hello :)

I haven't been on this site much since my husband crossed to the US in October 2005 - although, this site was so very helpfull during our process up to that point - I figured it would be just as helpfull for the next process.

We are getting ready to send in our I751 form - have a few questions.

we are are going to send copies of tax forms - do I need to send copy of all the forms or just the front page?



also - do we need to send passport size pictures? I didnt see anywhere on the instructions requesting these - although noticed a few people on there posts say something about sending them in. I just want to make sure we have everything prior to sending in the pkg. I think thats all the questions for now - although, might come up with a few more im sure...

Hello

Does anyone know if it's a huge deal not sending in the I-865 form prior to the required 30 days?

I just realized that I needed to fill this out - we moved over 1.5 yrs ago....


We recently sent in our I-751 paperwork my husband did fill out the AR-11 form online prior to mailing the I-751 out -

When I send the I865 - should I put a cover letter -stating I didnt realize this needed to be filed? also asks for effective date - even though we moved over a year ago -should i put that date?

I am so very confussed - I called USCIS and they confused me even more sad.gif sad.gif

Hi Dima :0)

We filed our I-751 on August 11th received by the NSC on 8/13 - looks like we are only a few days apart. Our check hasn't been cashed either. I haven't been on this site since October 2005 when hubby crossed the border - since starting our removal of conditions - im now on the VJ site - several times a day. I can can't seem to get enough information - since every process with immigration seems so different than the last.

Do the affadavits by family and friends have to look like the examples on here? Can they just write letters? Not sure if we are supposed to follow the format or if they can do it differently.
