So, after seeing a touch this evening (after NOTHING this entire time), I checked my case status for like....the 200th time in 5 hours, and APPROVED! I must have checked right after it was updated, cuz I didn't get the email for about 10 minutes. I can't believe we got approved after only 67 days...I though for sure it would be May/June, if not later! My guess is that your file is already at the embassy. 1-603-334-0700 .....................Thank s for the info carol.... heres what i did, we got approved May 28, then i called nvc a week after we got aprroved, nvc says they dont have our application yet, then i call again, the 2nd week, still nothing from nvc, i called 3rd week, nothing, and i give up calling nvc.......sad to hear nothing from them, and still waiting..... thats why i open this thread, just to see some case...to see the minimum and maxinum number of days, weeks or months, im gonna wait ....i think this will be helpfull to those who wait their nvc number.... thank you for sharing.... I didn't realize you had been calling. I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. Have you tried calling the USCIS? Not sure if it will do any good, but maybe you might get someone on the line who is not so worthless. If you aren't able to get a hold of someone who can help you, keep calling back until you do. It's a shame that the govt operates the way they do. We wait for months for them to pick up our file to process it and when they finally do, it takes them months to just send it in the mail. Once we get the approval, it should be smooth sailing until the interview, but they continue to create grief for many petitioners. I hope you get yours soon. I will pray for you tonight. We arrived 11:55am and left at 1:30pm. We waited about an hour after getting our number. Then once we turned in all the paperwork to the screener, we were called up to the window within 15-20 minutes. There were people waiting who came before us, but they called us up fast, probably because we had the kids with us. They have twice the applications of vermont and do half the work. This is starting to get ridiculous. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Just looking for some Helpful Advice	I just recently returned from Thailand for Holiday, I met an exceptional Thai Girl, we really bonded & we spent abot 7 wonderful days together!! I know spending 7 days together is not enough to truely know your in love, I'm 36 years old & have never been married, I've travelled to numerous countries, but I truely think this Girl is the one for me, I met her this month (November, 2008) I don't really know if I can pull this off by myself (Paperwork/Documentation) for K-1 Visa Don't get me wrong, I'm visiting my Thai Girfriend in Februaruy of 2009 & I'm to meet her family in (Isan) I sponsor her now & talk to her on the computer, thru (Skype) & send her e-mail's, I believe this is vital, for record keeping for her interview (Documentation) Should I hire a Lawyer in the U.S. represent me or should I wait for my next Trip to Thailand in 60 Days from now? Should I bring any paperwork with me, when I visit in the next few months, that would be benificial for the two of us? I did some playing around with the timeline search and it seems - if I did it correctly - that about 36% of Jan, CSC filers have received their NOA2s. I searched for how many Dec, CSC filers there were and how many of them had their NOA2s by March 23 (about a one-month corresponding offset), and they had only 43%. That's more, sure. But they had fewer filers with about the same actual number of NOA2s. I don't think that makes me feel *better* per se, but like I said, when I get really frustrated, I like to play with the data to see if I can try to work some kind of voodoo mojo magic on the whole thing and make a data-crystal ball. Doesn't seem to be working, but what the hell. And to be clear - that's data for K1, Jan, CSC filers, compared to K1, Dec, CSC filers. True, January NOA2's lag is not as bad as it appears. But there was an abnormal slowdown during the three weeks 4/1 to 4/21. If you calculate the days between January's NOA1s that have not received NOA2s yet, the wait has increased about ten calendar days. I did this a couple days ago, so this is an estimate: December's NOA1s waited an average of about 79 days for their NOA2s. January's NOA1s waited about 82 days for their NOA2s. There is little increase from December's NOA1s, only three days. However, if you calculate the days from January's NOA1s without NOA2s yet, to April 23(today), the average is about 89 days. George Wow, some weeks really are slower than others (at least for VJ people), huh? Yeah, I compared the NOA2s with December 2006 NOA1s(a month earlier than our January NOA1s), and a year ago NOA1s from January 2006. The NOA1s from January this year are lagging weeks behind previous months and a year ago. Reasonable speculation is due to a sudden load of HB-1 work visas.
