already spoke with someone in his office and they said they will look into it as soon as i fax the info. have you called yours? i'm just curious what you base your statement on? also every state is different. what my congressman might do could be different than what yours might do, for better or worse.


If your congressman looks into it before its been 6 months, USCIS will simply tell them you are within processing times.

I agree with you in general about the complaining & needing the reassurances. I wonder if women do this more than men. I know whenever I express my frustration about how long this process is taking, my fiance encourages me to hold on & be patient. It's definitely good to hear that type of thing.

As far as I know, that's completely normal.

Gemmie your post really gave me some insight! Sven is going through all of the things PP have talked about feeling/going through. Being the USC (and VERY easily adaptable to new countries, cultures, etc) it has been really hard for me, because all I feel is excitement..but for Sven, it obviously goes back and forth. I never really thought about other people saying they don't want him to leave (except his parents of course), and you definitely opened my eyes...so thanks for such a great post!

My baby called me my 9pm and told me we got approved, she had her interview at 7am. Thanks to all on VJ for answering all questions and helping in anyway possible for us to finally get our approval.
I pray all those waiting will get there approvals soon.

if you guys want to see when this cleared up last year, try looking at igors..ugh never mind. I just looked (http://cse.ssl.berke...data/stats.aspx) and it seems that things had picked up already at this time last year.

I really feel for those who are still waiting...just try to be patient, and the best thing you can do is start getting the papers and evidence ready for packet 3 and your interview, that way there are minimal delays between the next steps!

There are plenty of people still on the boards who were around here this time last year, so hopefully they can be of more help!

If they mailed the petition back, I don't think they would have cashed the check. And if they hadn't cashed the check, then the OP wouldn't know their case number. Also, if the OP already recieved NOA1 (sorry, I haven't checked the timeline) then they would get an RFE for an incomplete form, and not get the whole thing returned I don't think. Is this the message that gets put in the update if it is an RFE? I think its something different. Definitely call USCIS.

Anyway, yeah we haven't updated our timeline yet. We got our NOA2 on the 19th of March (few days apart from yours)... mail from NVC just got in yesterday and it says the case is being mailed to the USEM. Hope you get your notification soon! star_smile.gif

how long did it take for your AOS cases to show online? mine aren't showing..

The day we got the NOA1's we could check...the # isnt like when you got NOA1 for I-129F...not like you can track with the # on back of cashed check.
The # is like MSC049494039 then there is a # like 3,4 or 5 at the end for AOS, AP or EAD


Actually this is really really weird. I just looked at the back of my cashed check, and there IS a case number...but its not mine. the last two numbers are 89 but mine are all in the 90s. idk what to think about that?

Well we will have time before AOS anyway...but I have already started on all the forms haha. I'm hoping its not as stressful as all of this! And you're right, at least we will be waiting together. I think we are the most anxious about the EAD....we want that asap so we can start saving money. I still haven't found a job after graduating in March!

Well, here I was worried we would get an "approval" qualified with "pending medical results" and those arrived on time, so I thought, we'll surely know before he leaves that we are approved, and then the computers were down, so a few more checks need to be run!!!

They kept his passport though, which we take as a good sign, and we don't think there's anything to worry about in these checks they are going to run.

Hey guys! No I didn't forget about you! When I attempted to post the internet that I was using lost connection and I needed to get going! Anyways, so after 2 days of completely freaking out and being very upset about how the interview went, today after the medical and dropping off the results, the visa will be ready for pickup tomorrow @ 2pm. I will believe it when I actually have it in my hand though as i am scared that it could still end up in AP. I will post an explanation and review of how things went after tomorrow, way too tired and it has been a very long and very early start to the day. At this point I am being cautiously optimistic.
