####### is 'EWI'?

ETA: When people say "illegal aliens", they are not talking about Canadians. ;)

Actually Illegal Alien is just that any undocumented immigrant which is an illegal status. Undocumented immigrant = Illegal Immigrant = Illegal Alien

Illegal Alien is the preferred term of those who oppose any amnesty program because to many open border activists or pro amnesty(no matter what political spectrum they are from) try to twist words by calling them immigrants.

Leegal Alien can be Canadian, Pakastani, Indian, Scottish, Irish, British, Mexican, Ecudoran, Brazilian......the list goes on.

It is the proamnesty/open border activist who are insisting the term means only Mexican; no one has ever stated it only means mexican.;)

Steve uses phrases like "Personal impressions are merely anecdotal and prove nothing." because he refuses to use the common sense that GOD has provided every man.

He literally refutes anything anyone posts and only acknowledges anything he posts as facts. But when those same facts are turned on him he disaapears.

In one post in OT he ported numbers which intermingeled Illegal Aliens with legal immigrants by calling them all immigrants. This post showed the type of blue collar jobs they worked and alot of those jobs had moderate earning potential; let alone the fact that any legal US immigrant or citizen could work. The fatc that they didn't differentiate between illegal and legal immigrants showed that Illegals were taking those types of jobs.

Steve tends trys to hide behind a false sense of protection for the illegals under the constitution but there is no protection there for them; I truly do not know his agenda.

I highly doubt his ability to support another family or willingness to pay out of his pocket 60% of his income to allow the masses to be provided for.

Steve with all due respect stop lieing to yourself.

BTW

You say SB1070 is sponsered by white supremis groups? I have seen nor read any factual evidence to this.

But are you a supporter of the NAACP who supports the Black Panther Organization whose memebers belong to NAACP? Now there is a racsim at it's highest degree which challenges SB1070.

Or are you going to show facts that those organizations are not racist?

Not once did I ever say or use the word RACIST, it came from you so i'm going to say that you are the RACIST here, meaning that you had to think of it and use that word not me.................................

They are troublemakers, just watch a episode of Cops and maybe you will see what I mean.

I wonder if he supports his liberal non racist Blank Panthers supported by the liberal non racist NAACP.

I agree Jason and Rose never mentioned race the only person here mentioning it is NON.

Not trying o bash you non but calling the race card wore out 2 months ago or more; besides the Liberal Administration isn't even challenging the AZ SB1070 law on grounds that the law is racist because it is not.

I will be happy when the government sues AZ and wins, its discrimination. You cant single out "brown" people and ask for papers. What if you are with your filipina wifes and she doesnt have her ID with her? You will be ok with her being sent to jail until you can provide documents?

Oh well, support this if you want but when it starts to effect you and your wife because she/he is from another country then you won't have any right to complain

I understand your concern but I belive it will nto be a concern you will worry about for long when the law stands and Obama oops (DOJ) is turned out once again.

Look probably no one here knows the laws that are being made that really affect me personally. Not throwing a sympathy card but let me tell you I have worked hard to win back what I lost and now liberties are being taken away by knee jerk laws. This law is in no way a knee jerk law (not that anyone is saying it is) and even though more sever laws are affecting me each day it seems; I still support this law SB1070

PhilippinesFilipinos Against Arizona Immigration Law SB1070

This is certainly a hot and volatile topic for which there are no winners. I feel compelled to add my 2 cents about all this. Here is a fact. Illegal aliens children are entitled to Medicaid. I spoke with a Medicaid Representative and he stated that the parents get medicaid because of their children. The more children they have the more the medical and cash benefits they receive. He told me they are forbidden to contact immigration enforcement when they encounter these illegals.(Primarily all Mexicans) This disturbs me! Since when do we get to pick and choose what laws we will obey! I could see me arguing that to a judge. I just want to think my hard earned tax dollars will go to help those with the dignity, honor and self respect to obey the laws of our country and do things the right way.

This has been the case sense Throughout the 70's. My mother worked for the Illinois Migrant Council.

She woulfd drive them to get foodstamps, cash and medical card back then. If needed they were given emrgency assistance (CASH). No questions Asked
She enrolled all that requested into the local schools for the chilfren and adult education classes at the Comm College and all at the cost of the tax payer.

PhilippinesAmerican killed in Pampanga, Angeles City

Posted ImageThanks Tahoma.

Don't you think, Tahoma, that if an arrogant, cocky American has been warned time and time again to keep a low profile while being a guest of our country, and yet he insists on insulting the Filipina women by calling them "m-b-o" and promises to punch a Filipino that annoys him, that he deserves what he gets?

Having said that, I don't think getting killed for being a jacka$$ is worth it.

So again, dear American friends, when visiting the Philippines, always keep a low profile. Posted Image

And always be respectful and polite and stay out of trouble - if your filipina says do not interfere "DO NOT" or to leave quickly and quitely then do so "Fast".

i got a bunch of them in my photobucket. Posted Image

I hope these are things you have discussed with her.

I agree you must do what is needed to allow her to feel at home and establish roots as this will be her house as well as yours.

I plan to maintain my normal activities when Joy arrives but will allow the day to day activities to dictate some changes to allow her to know she is more important than any habits or personal rules I may have.

PhilippinesAnother foreigner killed.

I'm wondering what to think here. Having made several trips to the Philippines, I can attest that I feel as safe there as I do at home. I don't go around with lots of money, I stay with my sweetheart, I try not to make myself look conspicuous. Its hard to blend into the crowd where we live in Cubao, but maybe I'm less of a target than in places like Angeles or Subic, where a lot of Americans congregate. My Filipino co-worker who lives in GenSan said I should just write off most of the island of Mindanao, for my own safety.

I had some of my fiancee's relatives asking me what I thought of the Hostage-Taking situation at the Qurino Grandstand, and I told them "dumb things like this happen every day all over the world...that day it happened here."

I agree I feel the same with My Fiance.

Do filipinas get "taken"? like they are objects without minds?
I thought they went of their own will.
Maybe they want Americanos, because Americanos don't treat filipinas like objects.
Americanos "taking" filipinas?

Not all Americanos treat Filipinas respectfully.

with that said according to Joy she belives most filipino men are womanizers so maybe the filipino men feel threatened socially by the thought of an Americano being one.

Two trips to Butuan City, Mindanao this year. Not once did I feel threatened. Yes I stick out in a crowd. Everywhere I went, the people were so very nice. Great place! Wish I could say that about the south side of Chicago.

When I was going to the RP, I went in the months of July, Nov, Feb and every year my Nov ticket was a lot more.

Tickets aren't up at this time for just the RP, they are up no matter where you are going.

I agree this would be the first December visit I would make and the feb/April and July tickets were 1/2 the cost

PhilippinesLearning my fiancee 's culture

I'm actually surprised by ######'s post because I know that many employers seek out Filipinos for their dedication to their work. Last year, a local company in our city hired a Pinay and they were very happy with her work performance that they decided to hire another Pinay. With two Pinays already under their payroll, this same company added another position last week. I know this sounds discriminatory but the American boss specifically said he wanted Pinay workers.

And I know this for sure because the last Pinay hired was me Posted Image

Just by my visits and friends I have here I believe this to be true

Speaking in short cut manner is something that has been a part of pinoy culture.

My husband and I have had few funny moments when I asks him, "have you seen my cell charger?" and whenever I say "I'm "LOW-BATT"
and he would usually correct me for saying it properly to " My battery is low"

So, to fellows who are learning your S.O's culture.. its just natural if we say things in crooked, So its something that the spouse has to learn and adjust.

PhilippinesRice Field
Thanks for the replies

Clarification
Not irrigated by pumps but by pond fed from river
The funniest is they kept saying 3 harvest a year so i asked how many harvest in lasr 4 years; 2008=3; 2009=2; 2010=2; 2011=2; this year will be 3....so i asked sweet hunny bun to think about it and give me the correct answer and she said 2(did i mention i love her so much)

But the overwhelming answer for yields was 90, 93, 101, 95, first harvest this year was 98

Sold each sack sold this year for 1500php each

PhilippinesRice Field
Thanks for the replies it is
It is irrigation fed
Jo's family owns the fields adjacent to this field; that is the high and low yield they get
The entire field is used except the paths between them
The engineer marked the land
A land title was filed
I did not ask about fertilizer
If the yield are like what they tell me then I plan to buy more butnI am at a wait and see

Your not prying itnis a legitmate question; I fall under then AWA (no further explaination needed if you know how long the process takes for us no matter circumstance that makes it a AWA)

We have house in Cebu and a leased townhome in Makati (house needs lots of work) and in case we are denied I need to ensure the rental income here is matched by income there or at least close to it before retiring from my job and moving there. (USA Can bite me ifnthey think I will give up my life for a mistake 20+ years ago)

I will inquire about the fertilizer and add this to the costs of operations.
Even if it yields 1/2 what they say $3600-4000 usd a year is worth 10k investment.

I haven't posted in a while here but wanted some feedback.

Me and Josephine have been doing well in our 4 yr relationship waiting on Visa ( 3yr) and we decided to make some sort if income for her.

She does well when she cooks and sells as a street vendor but I still send her roughly 30,000php a month.
This past week we purchased a rice field 1 hectacre (400,000php) it is my understanding this was a great price.
Purchase made at the notary and land title filed in Josephine's name

It is also my understadning it should produce a revenue every 3 months from 70,000php to 100,000php after paying for seed, workers to plant and harvest/dry

Josephine is pretty amazing; according to her she was able get the land at the time of the sale for 350,000 this allowed her to buy a hand tractor for about 50,000 that was needed.

I have full faith in Josephine what I dont have faith in is my full understadning of this earning potential. (it sounds to good to be true)

What I am interested in is what is the true potential of this field and if I should purchase another if the opportunity arises?

I need to ask him about the changes to the k-3

Correction he did not say k-3 exactly but used marriage visa.

Hi all

Again thank you for the answers and support.

I made a Service Request but no infopass because from what I can tell by the choices given to me I do not qualify for an infopass appointment.

our Application was accepted May 29, 2008

I recieved I-797c on 6/6/09 - case status on USCIS website shows last updated 6/6/09
Submitted 1st Service Request on 12/7/10 - case status on USCIS website shows last updated - 12/8,12/9,12/11,12/12
Service Request response on 12/16/10 - Application is not outside normal Processing times - case status on USCIS website shows last updated 12/16/09
Service Request made on 2/17/10 - case status on USCIS website shows last updated - 2/19/10

Service Request response on 2/22/10
- A check of USCIS records indicates that this case is currently under extensive background check. You should receive a notice of action* within six months.

*A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice, Request for Evidence, Notice of Intent to Deny or Notice of Intent to Revoke.

- case status on USCIS website shows last updated 2/22/10

I am not sure what to say ..with the Tech available they can verify with in days at most weeks that they have everything and verify its accuracy.

any responses appreciated.

Should we abondon the K-1 visa and then marry and apply for a k-3 visa?

I will at least travel and see Josephine at the end of March.

As My attorney believes the I-600 waiver will be requested if needed.

I appreciate everyones advise and encouragement but requesting details of my felony isnt the answer; if my felony was for some sexual assault would they not have already denied me or requested the waiver?

My fear is that the felony was considered violent and becasue it doesn't appear to fall under the Adam Walsh Act the agents are needlessly delaying our petition with out cause.

USCIS was given every thing related to the felony and my fiancee was aware of all the details before we became serious in the relationship.

I am not sure what you mean by a timeline.

Our application was accepted May 29, 2009 I have am I-797C the only action taken by the USCIS has been to take my fingerprints.

I requested a Service request on 12/7/09 prior to recieving the appointment for my biometrics being taken which was scheduled for 1/25/10.

My question still remains regarding how to set an infopass apointment with only the 4 options given to set one for.

those options are

- Order from Immigration Court - If you were directed to us for processing based on an order from the Immigration Judge. You must bring all documents required in the post order instructions given to you by the court.

- Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.

- EAD inquiry appointment - If your I-765 employment authorization application has been pending for more than 90 days.

- Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.

Thanks

My Attorney agreed it should be ok to do another service request and possibly set an infopass appointment.

My issue now is I will call in the service request but in regards to the inforpass appointment I only have 4 options which I do not believe I fall under.

they are

- Order from Immigration Court - If you were directed to us for processing based on an order from the Immigration Judge. You must bring all documents required in the post order instructions given to you by the court.

- Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.

- EAD inquiry appointment - If your I-765 employment authorization application has been pending for more than 90 days.

- Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.

Any ideas.

Hello all I did some research and could not find much on what exactly "Premium Processing" is.

I received a I-797C NOA that our petition as transfered to Vermont from California.

This petition stated that the 15 day premium processing clock does not start until the correct office receives the petition.

I did find this old link from 2007 http://www.visajourn...ted-processing/ .

Reading this link states that I-129f is not eligible for Premium processing.
I also read that premium processing comes at a cost, I did not pay anything or have I been told about additional fees.

Could someone please tell me if the rule has changed and what to expect?

Thank you so much

I suggest am attorney be hired to do the submittal and to guide your through the process.

My attorney had me gather all information pertaining to my case to submit.

My case was just sent to Vermont and it has only been 11 months.

I expect the interview to be scheduled soon this interview will be scheduled for me and my fiancé this is to see if I am a risk to her and if she is aware of the criminal history.

I then expect a request for evidence which my attorney has planned that I turn in Affidavits from family, friends, coworkers and my leaders at work.

What worries me is the change of not allowing people on the National Sex Offender Registry to apply. I didn't think someone currently registering could apply. If that were the case someone just convicted or released which has not shown any rehabilitation progress would be allowed to apply and it would be possible to receive an approval.

At this time it does not apply to me and most people here even if we are considered AWA filers.

If changes are made to the AWA to retroactively force people to register again per SORNA then there will huge issues.

IMBRA Special Topicsrisk?
The OP does not know as much as they think they do and is possible not as educated inr egards to the system or the actual research envolving SO. Most of the general public is this way as they buy into the angry parent or victims actions or the sesationalized media stories. Politicians are afraid of not being Politically correct so they do not lose votes so many knee jerk laws are passed which protect noone but hinder the successful reintergration of a former SO into society.

The OP truly does not understand the prupose of a Poly...The Poly helps show you have committed no other crime. It is not to state you are not a risk.
The risk assesment shows who you are a risk to; the Psychologist shows through interview your competency, how you protect yourself from being a risk, how you have reformed, how you have integrated into society etc, The determination will be poses no reasonable risk and/or is a risk to .... Any Risk evaluation should be done by a state certified SO counselor.
Letters from family and Friends, church, employer etc. all help
Past criminal acts of any kind hinder your chances doesn't matter what the crimes where.

The truth of the matter all research shows that less than 5% of SO reoffend - less than 3% reoffend who recieved proper counsiling and served some sort of sentence; only murder has a lower recivism rate. Almost all Sex crimes are committed by persons known by the victim. Media hysteria an public anger (understandably in some cases) lead to knee Jerk laws such as AWA, State Registry Laws, residence laws, etc. which in no way protect anyone.

If someone had Sex offense against a child then it will be hard to prove you do not pose a risk to a child but it is possible to show you are no reasonable risk to an adult. If the IO stated risk against findings of the cousular and other proof showing no resoanble risk to an adult then it will be an appeal to the court Sytem where the judge will most likely remark the IO is clearly an untrained Govenrment official inmputting their own believe while ignoring evidence to the contrary.

If there was a child involved in the petition then it will be a harder battle.

Also there is no mention there were past criminal records or current ones, are they still registering, what is their current status in the community profession, earning potential, firends, family etc.

Any how there is know links to refute the poster claim which is based on personal opinion but if accepted I will continue to post hre my experience and help others.

There are many links refuting the AWA and many other BS laws which do not protect children as well as the claims all SO pose a risk forever. Just google them.

Be patient and if you do not use an attorney then you should do so. if the cost is to expensive for an attorney then imo you should rethink immigration process. (sorry if that sounds mean but for AWA filers it is not going to be cheap or easy)

Hey AWA filers.

I would like to start an evidence topic for our use and to help others coming in to the issue.

I will be glad to add to my post any updates of types of evidence gathered by AWA filers and used.

We will keep track of successes and the evidence used in the adjudicated cases.

I started with an attorney to ensure all paper work was filed correctly and on time.

With the application we sent all accessible information regarding my case (Aggravated Sexual Abuse)

To submit for the RFE or sooner I have collected the following:

Employment records and standing
Notarized letters of support and character from family and friends
Financial budget to show financial security
Risk evaluation dated 8/11/10 ("He shows no appreciable risk to his fiancé or other adults" & "As a result of this extensive clinical/actuarial risk assessment Mr. XXXXX can be seen as a very low risk to re offend sexually") According to my Attorney these are the best statements that can be made for anyone under the AWA convicted of a sex crime against a minor as listed under the AWA.
Letter from fiancé stating her full knowledge of my SO

At this time my attorney does not think a polygraph is necessary

My next post will be posts of evidence used by filers approved and denied so it will be blank until I get some more information if you send me the link I will edit the post to add it going forward.

IMBRA Special TopicsPBJ considered conviction

Yeah, it also seems like a complete waste of time to come here and look for advice for IMBRA related circumstances under the "IMBRA Special Topics" thread when all you get is bashed for what you have done. I know this thread is old, but I am new here. I just noticed as I wasted my time how this thread is 3 pages long and offers nothing for the OP. I see, by his time line, that he finally figured it out and got approved. Good for him! No thanks to this board I am sure!

I agree with this.

some of the bashing may have been actually someone trying to be humoress without thinking of the senstivity of the OP.

I didn't read any direct bashing but I hope the OP will return for more answers later.

I have been somewhat open in the forums about me being a SO and have not yet to recieve any rudeness or bashing.

Most VJ people are here to help if not all and unless you are a jerk to them they will either be cordial or ignore you in other topics.

Even in heated OT threads most people are cordial and we enjoy some bickering back and forth.

IMBRA Special TopicsIMBRAA Waiver Same Petitioner

Do you know what caused the holdup in your case?

For most filers in the IMBRAA cases or AWA cases it is always the so called Back Ground checks USCIS claims the FBI takes over a year to effectively execute a back ground check.

Which is totally BS IMO.

You do not need to send in anything but you papers from the Court about your assault charge.. I'm sure you did what you had to do.

I just got approved in 4 months and I have an active restraining order.. 5 Criminal convictions and a 2 page criminal jacket.. I make you look like and Angel.

They approved me. They will approve you...As long as you didn't kill anybody you are OK. Just send in the ORIGINAL certified court records..DO NOT send in copies..

You do not need an Immigration lawyer.. That is for perverts and sickos who like kids only!

Don't waste your money.. I did not use one. People her tell you that because they did it that way.they have no clue as how to read instructions and believe everything people tell them here. Believe me you are going to be OK.

:ot:

Idoiocy in posts like these help no one. Before someone spouts off stupid statements like these they should really think about your posts and get facts; which they obviously have not done in some of the statements made.

:ot2:

If you believe an attorney may be needed it is best to consult an immigration attorney regarding any criminal or previous assault charges you have in the past.

While some people claim to have gotten lucky in the past even with a career criminal past (threw their own admission) only an experienced attorney can give you real expectations for you to judge the risks of having them represent you or not.

I recommend consulting an immigration attorney non profit or not it is usually free for the first consultation.

You can also hore an attorney to help with specific questions on fee per question. It can become more expensive if you have more questions obviously.

Remeber the laws are changing rapidly and alot of violant crimes are lumped in with AWA including drug crimes; remeber it was stated this was the floor of the law not ceiling and they can add what ever crime they wish to the AWA.

While I agree you may have an easy time with immigration it is always prudent to be prudent (in other words CYA)

Good Luck, I know it will work out for you.
