K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Finally! Will send petition in about 3 weeks!	Woot!! Divorce date for my sweet baby is gonna be august 2th. Hopefully we should be able to send the petition mid august... Heres my question. I dont read the board everyday and there is so many posts its hard to stay updated with everything.. My fiancé lives in Illinois, and technically we are supposed to send every immigration documents to Nebraska Service Center when we file from Illinois. But now I read that Nebraska and Texas are not processing K-1's anymore so that they are sending everything to Vermont and California. Is there any website or anything stating that I should send it directly to one of these service centers or I have to send it to Nebraska anyways and they gonna take care of the transfert? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	New I-129F form	as for the petition, it was ready couple months ago, done it all back again with the new forms, all copies are made, all papers are filled, we are just waiting for the divorce decree:) and no im not surprised if there is going to be any delays and that our petition will be transferred to CSC. As i was collecting informations about it in the last 8 months i had a lot of surprises, but now nothing surprises me anymore and I know what I got into...This site has helped a lot and I must say its really nice to see everybody helping, supporting and sharing stuff with everybody 2 thumbs up for VJ ! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	New I-129F form	oh yeah, the ride has been long enough through my fiance's divorce....so I'm all right Not saying it is easy to get through the K-1, dont get me wrong, but I would say it must be a piece a cake compare to be stuck in a divorce process with an annoying immature greedy ex-wife for a long year.....Specially waiting on it to begin our life finally! But its all good so just one more step to go the K-1. I am ready for it bring it on At least its just gonna be between me and him now, so much easy not having to guess if the ex is ever gonna sign the damn divorce papers..... Anyways just a big ease on my mind because its all gonna be over in 2 weeks and Im really happy about it, gives me a lot of strength to get through the K-1 because its all we need now and its a lot closer then it ever was. Neways I am rambling now loll Just have been so envious when I was reading all of you waiting for news from USCIS when I couldnt even dream of sending the K-1 yet. Im happy to get it started and I am starting it on the good foot. I know its gonna be long, I know its gonna be stressful, I know it may take a long time. But its like i said in my signature, a small price to pay. And Im sure that all the people that are already done with this could support what Im saying, that its so much worthed at the end its even gonna look like nothing afterwards. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	New I-129F form	We are preparing the petition to send it at the end of august ( we will be together for his birthday and we will send it together how exciting! ) So heres my question. The part C is asking about serving in the US forces or if the petitioner has done any crime. But there is no place where you can write or check mark if it's not applicable. Do you just leave the whole section blank or you make a note somewhere for question 2 and 3? Cause leaving it blank almost looks like we forgot to read it or something like that... I was really desperate because I could not even send the K-1 and the divorce process took longer than it was supposed to. Every week we had one more bad news that was delaying the divorce date. Then one day we had 2 good news all at once and we know when its going to be over and I know when Ill start the K-1. So yeah sometime you feel you want to give up when its so close to be over. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Tattoos on medical	I got 2 tattoos myself, and one of them was when I went with my BF in chicago, we both got a significant tattoo to have a little piece of each other permanently on us. For alien no I put none, but does the USC have to fill his name in it since hes not an applicant? Do the Petitioner write N/A everywhere since its in support for the K-1 applicant Beneficiary write name and None for alien number since I dont have any Or just N/A everywhere for both Or both write only names and then N/A or none for alien number..... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Petition sent!	I kinda just left one world of darkness to step into another one lolll My fiance kinda had to finish is divorce, which took a big 9 months. So we had to add this to the timeline. I guess we are kinda half way there, so its very encouraging. Well we are hoping for an approx 6 months process, based on the fact that we have nothing major in our petition, no criminal records, no nothing, the form is the updated one, and I havent seen a canadian being refused. In the stats, is says that out of 73 canadians k-1, like 64 Visa were delivered and 9 are pending for an approval...so im pretty confident about the process	Mephys	Female	Canada	2006-08-25 22:55:00

We just sent the petition on monday, aug 21st via the Usps certified mail, and Nebraska received it on thursday morning, aug 24th , the day of my baby's birthday! That was a nice gift for us! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	YAY!!!	Nice, we sent ours on Aug 21st NSC received it on Aug 24! We are still waiting for the NOA1 as well, prolly in the next 2 weeks or so. So I totally understand your excitement! Funny thing is my Fiance is in Illinois, and I am from Montreal as well like yours, so we have close dates and location. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA1 Aug 31(NSC to CSC)	Our checked was cashed yesterday 09-05-2006. Got our case number today and it states that our official NOA1 date is Aug 31 2006. Just waiting for the real paper to be received by mail. Oh well. THat its IM Happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont expect anything faster than 6 months from NOA1 to Visa. So we met in a game and well keep our gaming account running for a while still...lol I just cant believe when I read about people that met in March 2006, filed at VSC and got apporved in 12 days when there is so many of you out there that filed for your case on that month. But I gotta tell myself that desperation is not the key on Day1, gotta be positive! What is a couple months when we have a lifetime with our beloved ahead....a small price to pay! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Any approvals with July NOA1 Date	As for myself NSC received it on august 24th CSC received date is august 29th (as shown on NOA1) Notice date is august 31st (NOA1) But on the website the status of the case says that it was received on august 31th. But reading the link that Tomyu gave it shows that my date would be august 29th but based on the website or what people say here would be august 31th... oh well, 2 days isnt that big of a deal, i really dont care, but it gets kinda confusing just for an official date. Definitely should be the received date in my opinion. As for the delay between the 2 service centers, its only 5 days as well so we are talking about a week. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Evidence of meeting - too much, not enough, decisions decisions!	We met about 8 times and we included one picture of each time. They were all digital pictures and I had them printed in a photo store. Some of them has the digital date in the picture but I did put a sticker with date/location/and our names on the back of each picture. We included few bills, credit card bills, airplane tickets photocopies, and hotel bills showing where we were. I included also our rings certificates with our names printed on them. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Approved...NOA2	OH MY GOSH!!! An August filer coming out of California? Unbelievable!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Best of luck on the rest of the journey!! First off congratulations...but just to mention to people, she filed in June, and got an RFE, so her NOA1 is not exactly like she filed in august, so its not exactly an auguster approval.....just dont jump on your chair too fast. Of course im happy to see that people are actually working at CSC. And for those that filed before IMBRA I would assume your cases are not in the same pile as the people that filed with the new for as they probably dont process it the same way. May filers and some in June filed with the old form, which means a longer processing due to RFEs They did not skip these people, but people that used new form are probably submitted to a compolete different processing. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Has CSC finished with March, April, May and June?	First, there is the old form + RFE's and new form. That makes a big difference. But then for the people filing at the same time and with the same form, there is also alot of different factors its gotta be case by case. Some people prolly have more stuff to look at than others. I dont know, but could be anything, background, jobs, countries, ties, family, situation (how many times divorced, divorce legall, etc) I dont know but its not a simple process either. Im really sad for all the March, April and June filers, but im sure its gonna get to an end before the end of 2006. I sure hope so. Weve seen a few people getting approved lately from that period and Im sure they taking care of it. You also have to look at the fact that there is prolly thousands of people OUTSIDE VJ that files for this visa. We are not the only ones in the world. Maybe they have like 20 petitions everyday and you're one of these 20 and have to wait your turn. Just dont lose hope people, were all going to laugh at it in a few months when we are going to be with our beloved. Its just gonna be a bad dream to forget about. The way approvals are being done has changed a lot in the past 6 months as well, you cant relay on what happened since then because of all the changes that have been made. Since i sent my petition in august, ive been adding the "I receive my NOA2" to a list of my own, counting only the people from CSC that filed in July and August and since Sept 12, which is only 2 weeks ago, I have 34 approvals on my list. Earliest NOA1 in there would be July 7th. Closest to me would be August 8th. So Its not only a little coincidence. Im not starting a war. But I would love that people that filed with the old form stop being rude to us about something that we have no power on. That would only show that the case are treated separately, because they ARE different... It IS 2 different forms. I totally understand that people are fed up with the waiting, but doesnt mean that they can close their eyes on results that they dont want to see. Its there, no matter what you want to believe. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I realize it's still Monday but......	please have a little respect for everyone who filed before you and cheer on the approvals for them. Seriously people, I'm so happy for everyone getting approved, and I'm pissed for the people that havent been approved yet from March and after. But I got this feeling when I read lately. I feel like this HUGE tension building up between the people from IMBRA and the people that filed with the new form ( including myself). That said. I DO think there is a lack of respect, but its coming from both ways. Telling the people that filed with the new form to back off is not much better, we all have this little hope somewhere when we see approvals happening. I mean come on. We are not all in a line at the bank, telling the others to stay in the waiting line because we got there first, etc, etc. Its not us deciding who is gonna be next. Saying to wait our turn is like beyond anybody's power. If there is 2 different department working on the IMBRA and New form, I dont even think that both case can be related at all. Its not the same waiting line. Its not the same way to treat the data that they receive. I dont care about myself if i get approved sooner or later, I started this process with a long waiting time in my mind. And of course if i would see March, April, May and June people getting approved before me I would be more than happy because you guys all deserve it. But again I cant help it If the approvals keep going that way and if I get a approved in 60 days. Neither than the people from VSC can help it if they get it in 15 days. I feel this tension everywhere when people ask about waiting time, or if anybody from their month got their NOA2 or whatever. Afterall, we are all in the same boat, no matter what place was assigned to us. Im sick and tired of people whining about all that stuff. I like to be able to share with everybody here. But I feel like im gonna keep that NOA2 for myself if it happens just not to make people more "tense" about their own NOA2.... I printed each page separately and checked the right box on each page prior to printing it. What they say, DO NOT make 4 copies of page 1. All 4 pages are different on the bottom. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	touched for a second day in a row!	I am still very early in the process but I did NOT send a copy of her BC because it has an error on it. However, I did send a copy of the first 2 pages and last page of her passport. I would hope that is enough because she needed her BC, NBI and local Police Clearances to get the passport in the first place. For myself I sent a copy of my BC (front and back) and copies of every single page of my passport which expires in 09 so I did not meet the "valid for 5 years" requirement on that. Valid for 5 years? Well in canada the passeport they deliver is ONLY good for 5 years. Received it in Jan 06 so no matter what its never good for 5 years...4 years 1/2 for me...
