Well this is what happen someone posted that they have a coke and a smile and a few of us who dont like coke and met our loved ones ONLINE posted that we do not care to much for coke. and IF we wanted coke we can find coke online that WONT ask for money or scam us. So then the gloves came off (AND i never realized LINT can get stuck between your fingers!!!)

HAHA ANYWAY!

I never have had to send Kai money..HE sends ME money to help with bills and HIS share of the rent.

Like someone said scamming is EVERYWHERE and there are high fraud countries.
I mean of someone wants to go hunt down a bride they can that is not the point..BUT many here HAVE met there lovedones ONLINE and are very very happy.

I gotta say that the person who posted that needed to RETHINK his wording because I can tell you several stories and show you DATELINE and 20/20 where men and women were scammed by someone they met FACE TO FACE and in person

Don't meet people on-line, the Internet has become a breeding ground for scammers.

Book a trip to Philippines, it will change your outlook on life.

So many beautiful woman there , and the people in general are very friendly and happy.

For me it was refreshing to look at a crowd and see the woman all with coke bottle figures.

OMG Please tell me you are not being serious when you say what you have just said.. Alot of people meet on line and are legit . As far as having a look in the crowd and seeing the women all with coke bottle figures.. WOW .. I am sitting here looking at a coke bottle as I type and wondering what is soo exciting about that lol. I thank god I am not shaped like or compared to a coke bottle .. If I was your wife I would wonder if that is all you was looking for in a bride. Meeting people on line you fall in love with the person , the personality not the body or looks and it is real love from the heart not from the eyes. I am just shocked I guess to hear the comments you made. There is more to life then a perfect body geeesh. Yes I am no where near a perfect body and probally never will be but I have a great sense of humor, a big heart that has so much love to give and all around a good person so please think before you say things and I am american and guys out there us american girls keep you warm at night so dont forget that too lolol... Ok I will step off my pedistal now !!!

Amen to that..i am HAPPY to say we met on an EMOTIONAL LEVEL and not a physical thinking with your privates and liking coke kinda level....plain and simple mate THAT was a VERY arrogent and jerkish statement.

I agree girl..SOME men love us plump ones..I have a hour glass shape im just chubby and my Aussie LOVES IT! so THERE *sticks out tongue*

HUGS girl you said it well!

To the OP...dont LISTEN to him...Turn this idiot in. It is OBvious she is scamming american men. I would look on dating sites online Like eharmony and so on many women out there from our country OR others who are legit and wanting love...NOT your money...RULE of THUMB...NEVER send money to anyone.

QUOTE (ninjawombat @ Nov 10 2008, 04:59 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Sorry if this has been asked before or if it's in the FAQs. I've been looking but I haven't seen an answer yet, so I thought I'd just start a new topic.

Without getting into a really long explanation, my fiancé and I really want to get married next year so that I can move to LA and live with him. However, we're both just finished college so we haven't been working full time and so he doesn't have massive savings or tax credits or any of that financial stuff. Even though we have a sponsor, we have been told that we could be denied a K-1 because we're so young and 'technically' don't have money. (side note; we do actually have full time jobs now and we're saving up like crazy for the visas and stuff)

So we were wondering which would be more advisable;

- apply for the K-1 and hope for the best, OR

- marry him while I'm visiting, then come home and apply for a visa based on the fact that I'm his wife.

I know it's illegal to marry for the purposes of staying there, which of course I'm not going to do. I have every intention of coming home when my 90 days is up and going through the proper channels. But is this a better way to 'guarantee' we'll be allowed stay together, or are we just creating more hassle for ourselves in the long run by not going with a K-1?

Advice would be very much appreciated. If more info is required, I'll be happy to answer any questions.

~ E

The support requirements are the same for fiancé(e) or spouse visa. Please study the guides and read other posts on the subjects you're asking about. They appear quite frequently.

I agree. Also from what I read some embassies will not allow a co-sponser as well..EVEN after you are married. Being married is NO guarantee you will get a visa.
there are some who are married and were denied.

If you have enough proof that it is a bona-fide relationship then you should be okay AS LONG as YOU have a sponsor. Remember this old saying..NO MONEY NO HONEY

All of us want to be with our sweethearts..BUT do it the legal way and bust your butt to get the income to make it happen:)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurespregnancy and your visa
Pregnancy does not speed up the visa nor slow it down.
Visas will take the same amount of time no matter what.
You sent off your visa in September so estimate on your timeline JUST for the NOA2 is:
Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between February 3, 2009 and February 20, 2009*.
Figure 4 to 5 months from the time you filed and got your NOA1 accepted. THEN it has to be sent to the NVC then the embassy.
When that happens of course there will be medicals to have and police clearance befroe the interview (it will go faster I hear AFTER the noa2 is approved! THAT is the longest part of it all)

You do not qualify for Accelerated Processing because you are pregnant either:( in case you might be wondering

So just be patient and I know it is a rough road. It will be okay hun I swear it will and lets PRAY your sweetie will be home in time for the birth!

hugs and fast journey to you

These folks are correct. Sometimes you wont even get one touch at all (sad we want someone to touch us ROFL)
Then bam..sometimes it takes 4 months to 6 months depends on issues or the person who has your file..do not expect it to be 4 months because if it does not happen in 4 months you will be disapointed.

On the 15th it will be 4 months for us and our timeline states
Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between December 3, 2008 and December 12, 2008*.

Hi VJ's

Please can you clear up an issue we are both worrying about?

The situation is my Fiance is lving at present with her Mother at her home along with her Daughter and Son, they hve been there for a few months now,
the worry we have is that until I move over and get working to bringin anothe income she may have to move into Public Housing until we get on our feet.
We are not to sure whether this woud effect our Visa application status or not? My Fiance works in the Health Service and has a full time steady job and also earnsre than the 125% guidlines state as well as ths we have a co sponsor just in case she also claims no benefits at this time staying with her Mother.
Please can you let me know if tis will or will not effect us or should we wait till i am there?

If she is earning more than the 125% poverty level, then it will be your case reviewers discretion as to whether or not her situation will cause a problem. It very well could though, since the purpose of the affadavit of support is to show that an intending immigrant will not be a burden on the tax system here.

Exactly and if she is in public assisted housing this will show if she cant afford to live with out public asst she wont be abloe to support you:(

I had to reply to the bolded above. I am the petitioner as well. When my mother in law is here she tells everyone and anyone who will listen, that im her daughter in law, who stole her son from her and broke her heart. blink.gif At first it was funny, now im annoyed, seeing as we have been together 4yrs.

Gosh... I'm really sorry to hear both experiences sad.gif it's just so hard to accept something out of the norm sometimes... especially when it's a long distance relationship... i mean, think about the olden days, there's hardly an LDR because internet did not exist then. So i guess it's very hard for parents to cope with that if their thinking is too conventional... I hope to talk to my parents about it and make them understand that this is the road that i'm gonna take.

*hope you guys could get along better with your parents in law in the future* it takes time... *hugs*

Me to sweetie me to...They wont even come to the wedding..we even said that we would visit next year and have a mock one so we can renew them in front of his family...its still a HUGE no...his mom screamed at him ran out of the room bawling. SO I sit and pray about it and no matter if she hates me, I care about her, because she helped make the man that I Love.

Regardless of the legal ramifications which may very well play into the equation here...

At certain Embassy's the 'age factor' can have significant bearing on the CO's decision whether to issue a visa or not.

Sydney is not a high fraud post. In places like HCMC, China, Vietnam, PI, the Middle East...etc...a relationship can be scrutinized a great deal. The significant age difference can, and very often does, add yet another level of doubt about the circumstances of the relationship.

In these situations it is best to know just what to expect and prepare well ahead of time with as much proof as you can.

I guess I'm ready to stop dancing around the issue. This is a Manila case. As such the 45 year old OP attempting to bring a just turned 18 year old fiancee to the US on a K1 visa is going to have to deal with overcoming some potential red flags or outright grounds for denial.

We don't know anything more than what the OP has told us.

If he met this girl through her family in the US, the assumption will be no bona fide relationship because the whole thing is to get an immigration benefit for his friend's relative.

If she was a prostitute, she'll be denied probably even if it's only suspected.

They'll want to rule out statutory rape being part of the early relationship. (Yes, this is one of those cases where a Consular officer is justified in asking about sexual relations.)

Showing a bona fide relationship is certainly possible, when there is one but it's a greatly larger challenge under some circumstances. Without more information, we really can't help much but let's no encourage the man with false hope based on what may well be very different sets of circumstances.

This couple will need a plausible explanation for how they came to be fiance and fiancee and it's going to have to be the truth.

There are tons of age gap relationships out their folks. My biggest fear would be the fact she was 17 not 18 which is consider a minor to most people. You might be looked upon as a pedophile.
NOW I do not think there would be a huge issue if she was 18 when you started dating but the fact is she was a minor when you started dating. whistling.gif whistling.gif

Unfortunate, this is a very common result when a lawyer is used. There are far more of these horror stories from people who paid a person who is there for the MONEY!!!! LAWYERS are money driven. They do not care how long the case will take. They do care how long it takes for the check to clear!!

I agree and If it were me I would take him to court for a refund! It is very easy to do it yourself, after all the guides, papers and people help you here HEAPS!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureshardship

I'm filing for the K-1. What I meant was his parents won't let him get on a plane to come here and marry me if they don't meet me in person first. They know we are serious, but they want to make sure I'm the kind of person who would take good care of him. They don't let him travel anywhere alone, not even to visit his family only 40 KM away. I'm not trying to get out of meeting him in person, I'm just worried now since things are getting a little messy over there that we won't get to meet. I do have options for my kids, but as a mom I've gotten used to planning for the worst, sorry if I seemed like I was trying to get out of this. We have an engagement ceremony planned, I have no intention of missing if there is any way I can get there.

Thank you for the meeting in UK suggestion Old Dominion. He does have a brother in Australia and while I know they won't let him go to the UK, maybe they will let him visit his brother and I can meet him there. Then maybe they would even go with him and that could solve this whole problem. You gave me a great idea, again thank you!

I realize it is his culture..but is he not an adult???? wacko.gif blink.gif whistling.gif good luck

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 rejected and when can I re-file
QUOTE (Patricklee @ Dec 28 2008, 01:00 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Currently both of us are very sad as the embassy is asking for some document that is impossible to obtain. Local Law does not allow it. Does anyone know if I can appeal or ask the embassy to review the case again. Appreciate any help and advice that I can get. Sad for me as it my fault for not being able to be with her during the interview.

If our K1 get rejected during the interview because of documentation 221(g), when can we re-file a new K1 application. Thanks for the advice.

What paper is it and I would call and ask them if it is impossible to obtain then how can I go about this..Also maybe have your SO find out from the court house if there is something that she can use for the visa that is obtainable
