IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCalifornia to Texas & Texas to California - Part 2

I just called the USCIS to see if the have shipped my case to the NVC and they told me that because it has been approved, they are no longer responsible .. that my case is handled by the NVC and to wait 90 days.... what?????

We are going to see a lot of passing the buck now. No one with balls is willing to step in and say "Hey, USCIS screwed up, because of that and the hardships that we have put petitioners through, we will make sure that they are all processed immediately at NVC as well as the Embassy/Consulate."

We are minions to them..............

I dont have my case number either and I was approved February 9th...I got the email notification that I was shipped to NVC on February 16th.

I guarantee you they fvcked up again............just look at the spread sheet. They either sent them back to CSC or they are still sitting in a damn bin at TSC.

Same here brother.... approved on the 14th and still.... nada.

Fermat - I am by all means writing my own email, but wanted to double check how everyone phrases it. I am simply afraid that this may get this entire situation even worse than it already is. That's all.

Trust me, you cannot make it any worse than it is. I have sent courteous and some have been abrasive, situation is still a cluster F**k.

Did anyone who was approved on the 10th of Feb get a NVC case number yet?

NO! I fired off an email to Mr. Badger today, he replied stating that he is looking into it. I told him that I feared that it was sent to CSC with all the turmoil at TSC.

The incompetence is overwhelming. I just received this TODAY (from TSC):

Dear Mr. XXXX

On 02/04/2011, you or the designated representative contacted us about your case......

Documentation submitted meets the requirements for EXPEDITE processing of your application/petition. We have received your application from the Western Service Center, NOT the State Department (see my signature for explaination). Your application has been assigned to an adjudicating officer. You will receive notice when a decision is made on your case.

HELLO !!!! TSC, are you there? You idiots transferred me back to CSC and my application has since been approved AND sent to the NVC. You're a little late aren't you???? But... it makes me wonder.... does this "expedite" carry over to NVC as well? Do any of you know?

Thanks,
Erick

You have to request an expedite at each stage of the process: Service Center > NVC > Embassy/Consulate

It looks like my Congressman is going to "guide" mine through NVC and the Embassy............we'll see.

If any of you are still hitting a brick wall with USCIS and your elected officials acting (or lack thereof) on your behalf, take advantage of Twitter and FaceBook. I got a call from my Congressman's office this morning which was triggered my by "Tweets" and Facebook post last evening. Be aggressive, just state the facts.

Got another call from the Congressman's Aide, he called NVC and they said they still have not received our package yet. They will push it through to the embassy once they get it.

If you have justification, it helps to be a pain in the #######.........

Please let me know when you receive the RFE in the mail. I got it on Valentine's Day as well just like you. What a gift lol. Since you live in Texas, whichever day you receive it in the mail I will most likely receive it the following day since I'm in California. I hate the waiting! Keep your hopes up and keep in touch.

Although I have our NOA2, I am fricking livid with the email and letter I received from USCIS today. The incompetence is giving me doubts that I will have my son and wife back here anytime soon, I need to get my son to a US doctor before he gets sick once again.

Another example of TSC not having a clue as to what the hell is going on! I just got this reply from an e-mail I sent on the 5th, keep in mind I was approved on the 7th and was shipped to NVC on the 10th.

More fodder for my blog.................

Incompetence x2 today, this is ridiculous.

I just got home, had a letter from USCIS TSC, hmmmmmmm, what could that be?

WOW, I was approved for ANOTHER expedite!! Holy sh!t Batman!! Dated the same day I was approved for my wife's I-130!!

Tell you what, those people at USCIS are on the ball...............this is so freaking stupid that it's sorta funny. I am going to raise more hell once our petition gets to NVC, providing copies of BOTH expedite approvals I received, one in November and this one today. Maybe NVC will feel sorry for TSC's incompetence.

I cannot wait for the article to come out in the paper and online next week!!!

You can open the envelope containing the passport as long as you don't open the one with the corner cut off. You will need the passport to leave the country and for CFO.

Again, that is not the issue.
She received the envelope with the passport and the "brown envelope that should not be opened" in it.
The passport was "attached" "connected to" to the brown envelope and she separated it from the brown envelope.
The guide I found talking about the CFO Seminar says "When you have your visa xeroxed, make sure the person doing the photocopying doesn't detach the envelope containing all your paperwork from your passport, or you'll have to go back to the US Embassy to get it reattached"

What I get from this comment is that the brown envelope is physically connected to the passport, whether it is stapled or not I'm not sure. And that if they come apart you have to go back to the embassy to have them reattached.

What I am looking for is information from someone else who has gone through the process recently to tell me if they had any issues if the passport was not attached to the brown envelope.
We have not and will not open the brown envelope. So please stop telling me not to open it.

Why not call the Embassy to get the straight scoop?

Completely agree! good.gif That bombing was an isolated case and even the number of people who got killed that time is still lower than the number of people getting killed in Manila. There's muggings, white slavery, day light hold up, etc.

Zamboanga is not Mindanao. And compared to the peacefulness in Davao, Manila is a jungle.

I have been to Manila several times, have lived there for almost a year. have worked in Ayala and also in Paranaque but still I don't like Manila. I don't like the pollution, the traffic and I don't like the taxi swindlers.

Everytime Ricky comes here, I make it a point to have him spend more time here in Davao than in Manila

I was in Davao City last December and stayed there for couple of days. I like the place so much and the natural beauty mesmerized me. Peace and order is outstanding. I can even use my celfon in public without fearing that someone would snatch it. I saw very very few foreigners though which I wondered why because Davao is such a very beautiful and peaceful city and has a bunch of tourist attractions. I deemed foreigners are reluctant to visit the city because it's part of Mindanao and there are lots of exaggerated news when it comes to peace and order.

I've never been in Manila, but I believe Cebu and Davao is much much better when it comes to peace and order, pollution and such.

-Riza

Nothing unusual. When I lived in the Philippines, I was registered with the USEM and would receive e-mail advisories at least once a month.

You have more of a chance of being killed by a Jeepney or crazy taxi driver in Manila than being kidnapped in the south.
