IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCSC to TSC to NVC: the Saga continues

You need to write a book about your experience. If you needed help writing it, I am friends with a writer that will ghost write. Contact me if you are interested. Semper Fi and congratulations! OOps, I repied on the wrong post!:bonk: This is for Wade.

Thanks!! I could write a book but who would read it?? If I could get a full time job being a "Watchdog" of USCIS, I'd take it in a heartbeat!! They need a Jarhead running that place and I could do it easily.

And just received another email from Mr. Badger:

David:

Thank you for your email dated February 22, 2011. The National Visa Center (NVC) received the immigrant visa petition filed by Wade Scott Grant on behalf of Kampong Pinongram and assigned case number BNK***********. The attached expedite request was forwarded to the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand for review. Mr. Grant will be notified when a response is received.

The National Visa Center (NVC), Congressional Unit, is committed to providing you and your constituents the best possible customer service. Upon review of our current procedures we believe the following modifications will be beneficial in improving our responses to your written inquiries.

* The subject line should be the NVC case number or CIS receipt number.

* Please refer to only one case per inquiry.

* Include the Beneficiary’s complete name and DOB in correspondence.

I hope this information is helpful.

Regards,

Congressional Liaison

Got a reply from Mr. Badger today:

Mr. Grant

The approved I-130 is currently in the NVC.

The assigned NVC case number is BNK**************.

We will also reach out to the NVC manager and ask that the case be expedited from the NVC to the Consulate.

David Badger

OK, that is a sigh of relief knowing that it has been assigned a case number.

Thank you DAVID BADGER

This whole process is really frustrating and one cannot make any sense to how USCIS does anything.

I got an email stating that our petition was transferred form TSC to NVC on February 10th, 20 days ago, and we still DO NOT have an IIN assigned to us. But there are others that had there petitions forwarded from TSC to NVC on the 14th and 15th who have called the automated NVC line and they HAVE there IIN?

The whole system needs and enema!!

With tomorrow being a Federal holiday and I will have to wait until Tuesday to speak to a human at NVC to find out what is going on.

Also, because our government is so screwed up, the budget crisis is threatening to shut down non vital services, this includes USCIS!! This is the PERFECT STORM of Government incompetence.

Wife and son finally made it home Thursday evening. Flight landed at 8:30 PM but she did not clear Immigration until midnight. The first two agent she dealt with in immigration were a$holes, she was pi$ed at them. Both were Filipino and they were talking ####### about her in Tagalog, they had no idea that she understands Tagalog, she learned quite a bit when she stayed with me in the Philippines when I worked there.

Long story short, she approached another Immigration Officer and he was very accommodating. When she was leaving the immigration office at LAX, she made a comment to the two Filipino Immigration Officers in Tagalog, they were horrified she could speak Tagalog. Wished I could have seen their faces!! My wife don't take sh!t from anyone, makes me proud!!

Good luck to rest of you!!

We should receive her 10 year Green card soon as well as her Social Security card.

Someone posted a comment on the recent news article about our CSC > TSC > CSC ####### we have had to deal with. Rosemary Melville was appointed the director of CSC last summer and I guess she had a "checkered past" with retaliation while at Miami. Here is the comment:

The California Processing Center underwent a change in leadership last year to bring in a corrupt, lazy, manager who was pushed out of Miami after she was caught retaliating against whistleblowers. You can read about Rosemary Melville by doing a google search. She's incompetent and hopefully retires or gets fired soon.

Under her leadership, many US citizens are struggling and all we can do is write our congressmen and hope for the best. My case was moved along after I contacted former managers of the California Processing Center and asked for assistance.

I did some "Googling" of Rosemary Melville pretty much confirming that accusation. This is the person responsible for the nightmare we all had to endure.

Just thought i would pass it along..............

A photojournalist spent 2 hours at my home tonight working on the story and taking a lot of pictures. She said that it will be published SOON, hopefully by this weekend. A link to the online article and scanned copy of the print article will be provided.

Don't be surprised if at your interview they require you to do an I-601 for the Overstay and charge an additional $585.There is no set time frame for approving this waiver but be ready for delays.

Well 7 months since getting our NOA1 and still nothing from USCIS. Our case still has not been touched since November 30th. I sent another polite email explaining our timeline and mentioning how "concerned and frustrated" we are to the I-130 inquiries email again since every other avenue we've tried has had either no response (emailing people at TSC) or people telling us there's nothing they can do (the congressman's caseworker) and/or we can't contact them again for 90 days or whatever other amount of time they think of to tell us (phoning the customer service line at USCIS). Both my husband and I spend our days trying not to think about this debacle because it just leaves us sad and angry.

We have everything ready for NVC should our case finally be processed at USCIS. I have a letter from my doctor about my medical history to take to my medical exam after NVC processes us and we're getting ready for the interview. My husband even put me onto his healthcare plan from work and is paying for that (family members can only be added three times a year so he wanted to make sure I'd be on it by the time I could move, lol, right). As far as I know we've done everything we can on our end. I'm just so angry at how we're being jerked around.

Edit: Also I don't come to this forum very much right now because I see threads like, "USCIS started I-130 Processing - November 2010" and feel like my head is going to explode, so it's probably better I focus on other things right now.

Write a blog, create a Twitter account and raise HELL with facts by slamming your elected officials and USCIS.................don't wait for someone to do something, you do something. It works..............
