K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Visa In Hand!	Hi all,   My passport just got delivered back to me avec visa about ten minutes ago.. Oh the elation! We originally filed in October 2012, through the Vermont Service Centre. We had a couple of setbacks along the way, but got there in the end.. I fly in two days time and our big day is October 16th.   Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the visajourney community for helping with my questions, concerns and sometimes outright whining.. Especially Nich-Nick of course, she is an invaluable help to us UK filers.   I look forward to continuing our marriage/immigration journey through these forums. Completely invaluable. Thanks! The message doesn't mean anything - I also got it afew weeks after we got our NOA1. I think it just means that they've entered your case into the system and that it is now officially 'processing' - that is all it means. It does not mean that you have been approved or that you are about to be approved. It just means that your case is online. Somebody punched in the numbers and you can now check your status. Do you have to take two separate trips to London, one for the medical, and one for the interview, or is it possible to somehow combine the visit? I realise the answer is probably yes, you have to take two separate visits.. I know that you do not have to meet the vaccination requirements to obtain the visa, only at the point of adjustment of status.. If at the time of medical examination you do not meet all the vaccination requirements, is it possible to pay to have the relevant vaccinations at that time, or does this have to be done at another time? Also if someone could tell me exactly what vaccinations I need to have I'll be sure to look into getting them as soon as possible anyway. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Create a VJ timeline to track your case and get estimated approval dates :)	When you fill in the time line and it gives you an estimate for your case, what does it mean by "adjudicated"? In my case it says "we estimate your case will be adjudicated between April 1st and April 15th" ...does this mean decision passed by USCIS and therefore NOA2, or the final interview??? Im still new and therefore very impatient!!! Xxx Basically you should (technically) get your NOA2 between April 1st and April 15th, unless they require further evidence, in which case they will send you an RFE. It will then be forwarded to the national visa centre, and onwards to the London embassy. I've seen some estimates that say there is about 3-4 months between NOA2 and interview date. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Police Certificate Etc.	Hi there, My fiancee visa petition was filed on October 25th 2013 with the Vermont Service Centre.. So yes, loads of time left to wait, especially judging by increasing processing times! Last time I checked it is taking 7 months and 3 days to process a fiancee visa, oh man.. It is so frustrating, I really don't know how we all put up with it. Here's hoping the processing times come down soon. Anyway, my question is.. I want to be as prepared as humanely possible when the visa gets processed, so that I can get to interview as quickly as possible. I noticed that one person said it's sometimes possible to just send your supporting documents straight to the embassy as long as you know they have received your approved petition. Assuming this is the case.. - How do you find out when the embassy has your petition? Just keep emailing them, or...? - RE: Police certificates, medical exams.. How far ahead can you have these done? For example, is there a timeframe within which you have to apply for your police certificate, or do you just have to wait for your approved petition to arrive and then them to mail you your required documents before you can apply for it? I want to get mine done ASAP but I don't want it to be 'out of date' because I did it too soon. - Any advice on other supporting documents? I know I'll need my passport and birth certificate, as well as supporting evidence such as photos, tickets, letters etc. I know people say 'take as much as possible' - but really, how much should I be aiming for? - Any general advice about any of the above. If you take a return flight itinerary, as well as a printed copy of your original submission and NOA1, you'll probably be absolutely fine. They might give you hassle, but there's very little chance they won't let you in. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K-1 Visa Process Help and age gap Thoughts!	Hi!!.. Long story short me & my fiance have finally decided to the petition for a k-1 Visa! So bascially, we just want some advice on what to put into the package along with the I-129F Petition and the other forms We're putting all the obvious stuff in, the G325A (done by us both), G-1145, the check, cover letter, declaration of how we met person in the last two year (which i have no idea how to do), statements certifying intent to marry, passports photos of us both, his birth certificate. Oh and for the proof of the relationship and having met in the past two years we are putting in, emails, phone bill records, photos of us over the past 2 years ish, passport stamp copies, and copies of boarding passes. Any ideas on anything else that needs to go in or that can be helpfull would be great! So we're know each other for, almost 2 and a half years, and been dating for almost 2. We started dating when i was 17 & met online when i was 16. Anyway on to the main questions! Our main concern is our age difference, its 9 years. We met while gaming online through a friend in February 2011 i was 16 and he was 25, he then visited me for christmas 2011 when i 17 and him 26 obviously anyway we always stayed either at my parents house or at my aunts and were never really alone. We're just worried that there may be issues with us meeting so young and haven't been together all THAT long. I then visited him in Texas at his house (which is parents live in too) from May 2012 - August 2012, so i had my 18th birhtday while i was down there and he also had his 27th birthday while i was there too, and then i recently visited him from December 2012 - March 2013. He proposed on January 1st 2013 at sunrise which i will forever remember it was perfect! =D Anyway do ya'll think i should get letters from my parents or anything seeing as i was young.. and still am, even though i don't feel it! lol Along with that there may be legal issues because of my age and also he's a high school teacher =/ Any advice would be really helpfull. Also if anyone know's where i can get US sized passport in Norwich UK that would be great! Thanks! There is a 13 year age gap between myself and my fiance. I'm 24, he's 37. Didn't even have to show a return ticket. I don't think they have a record of my K1 application at POE at all. So glad! I was really worried it would be a problem. So, I am waiting, I will keep things posted, I am really interested to see how long this will take becuase my husband is in Guatemala. And there isn't that many cases for his country posted on here that are recent. In addition to that, they are mostly k-1 filers and I am a IR-1/CR-1 filer, and I also still have to do his i-601 after we get the turn down at the embassy. I will keep posted on how long this takes, becuase there is very little information on people who have expedited been approved, and for the time this i-601 takes, From what I can tell its going to take longer the his i-130 I pray it does not. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I-601 Expedite Approval	Financial hardships, and near death circumstances, and you have to put a piece of evidence per item that you list as a hardship..It goes with the I-601 when you submit it, I had several problems, but I have not heard from them yet to see if they approved it. To my understanding they do not accept being pregnant as a reason to expidite unless your at harm for you and your child, so you would have to have papers from a doctor saying your stressing or in danger and need your spouse home... We now are waiting on the I-601 approval, Visa Journey needs a timeline of that, that would be sooo awesome, I tried to use the immigrate blog one, and it doesnt work. I cant get it to let me write in it. Anyway My husbands i-601 was sent out via FED EX on March 17, 2014 along with an EXPEDITE. Thank you for your response...Unfortunately the consulate does not help in these matters you have to go to a lawyer...I sent the power of attorney via email to my husband who paid 50.00 to get it notarized, then for it to be sent it was another 50.00..So all in all, this power of attorney cost about 100.00.. .Only with this paper I can get the loan, its really up to the loan holders luckily my people our awesome, and they will except the one that my husband sent me....Its just very costly...I think this paper would have cost me about 5.00 to do here..
