K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2012 K1 filers	Well past the 7 month mark now - and have no clue what is the hold up - service requests are filed  - i get the you will have a decison within 60 days congressmans office contacted them and they said an expedite will be processed - I think no one is actually has any clue what is going on - they all just give the standard answers.     I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. When did the congressman say the expedite had been processed? That's good news at least? Hopefully that will mean your case is 'touched' really soon..   I'll keep an eye out for your approval. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2012 K1 filers	Over the last week I have gone to an infopass appointment, I have spoken to a tier-2 rep TWICE, and I emailed 5 congressional reps. I have not gotten anything other than "you case is in VSC and is being processed."        I think someone said earlier in this thread that they'd been advised to wait until the seven month mark before submitting a service request. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2012 K1 filers	I just got off the phone with USCIS. I was able to get through to a Tier 2 rep fairly quickly. He checked my case status and said it was waiting to be assigned to an "officer", again generic answers. I then told him I belong I noticed VSC was moving along nicely for a few weeks but now has seemed to stall again. He proceeded to tell me that due to immigration reform and DACA that their work load continues to increase and processing times are going up. He told me K1 times are at 7 months right now and that they are working on mid September. I told him I know their have been people in October approved, and he told me the September date is a "average". K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2012 K1 filers	Hi everyone, we filed on October 12th and I called on March 12th to get an expedition, but found out today that our request has not qualified for expedited servicing of the I-129F so we're back into the date receipt order queue :-( Has ANYONE from CSC who is an October filer been approved yet??? Our wedding is in 3 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm just going to say this outright - It's HIGHLY doubtful your visa will get fully processed within three months. California is processing at an all time go slow, even if you got your approval in the next few weeks you still need to wait for it to go through NVC and then to your embassy, plus you need your medical and interview to be scheduled. You'll be very, very lucky to get your visa in hand within 3 months. GOOD LUCK though, and maybe try to postpone plans if at all possible??	maireadtravins	Female	Scotland	2013-04-13 09:04:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2012 K1 filers	I found the info by entering EAC numbers lower than mine until I found I-129f filers. It will show the same information as if you were looking at your own EAC (or WAC number for CSC filers). Sometimes it will show the actual NOA1 date, sometimes it will show "your Alien registration number was changed on so and so date". Looks to be that that ones showing a "change in Alien registration number" have a date of about 6-7 days after the actual NOA1 date (compared to other filers in the same block that show the actual NOA1 date). I saw 3 EAC numbers in a block of filers that show "on Oct. 16 your alien registration number was changed" that indicate an RFE was issued on Apr. 3 and Apr. 4. So, it looks like someone at VSC has a box with some Oct. 9-10 files in it. This is all speculative of course but since there have been some Oct. VJ filers have been adjudicated (some after my NOA1 date) and there are some very recent RFEs for October filers - not on VJ - then they are definitely moving into the October files. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2012 K1 filers	I called VSC today and spoke with a tier two officer and was told that yes they have updated their processing times to 5 months but that is just a number they strive for , it actality its 6 to 7 months??? I was also told that I should have an decision within 60 days if not less.... I cant understand any of this - Friday is our 6 month date I was hoping and praying his interview would be sometime in July if we were approved this month - now who knows?? Yes, it does seem they're slightly exaggerating by putting the processing time down to 5 months. The truth is that some October filers will hear this month and others won't.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2012 K1 filers	well I was wondering the same thing when the first person we talked to told us that we are still within normal processing time. helllooo, we are at 6 months on Friday! and you simply tell the person you talk to that you would like to talk to a tier 2 officer, they know more but I believe they will just tell you to wait until you can put in your service request good luck though! I think the thing is when the processing time says '5 months' you can't put the service request in till after 6 months, if you see what I mean.. You can't file the service request until after the 5 month window. In the meantime, lets all just CELEBRATE anyway, because at least we're not stuck in the horrific traffic jam that is CSC..
