Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)March 2014 I-601 Filers

Hi KmOm0629,

Do you happen to know the Guatemalan embassy e-mail?

Just so you know my timeline..

Country: Guatemala

Lockbox for I-601: August 1, 2013

Beginning of March 2014: Husband called USCIS to inquire about case (said they would follow up within 30 days)

Mid March: Received RFE for additional information

April 18, 2014: RFE information received

April 30, 2014: I-601 & I-212 approved!

My husband is just waiting for his letter from USCIS and the call from the embassy... Of course I almost feel like this waiting is harder than the rest!

It is, GuatemalaIV@state.gov

But, He has to contact, tell him to call, becuase it is regards to his I-601, the spouse of the applicant has no rights, like they wont give you any information, tell him to call and make sure they have the information right, I think he has to make the appointment, so tell him to call, i heard that guatemala doesnt really send an email with instructions, only Juarez...So have him to call..and Be sure.

They will contact within thirty days..You can try to get the email and forward it to the embassy to show approval, and see if he can get a quicker response.

Hang in there...I seen 2 november approvals, yesterday...So not much longer..your time will come, and I pray it is not far away...I feel your pain, I have been fighting depression very hard this month, my husband has been without electricity 25 out of the 30 days the Month of april 2014, and I am about to go crazy, especially when we talked everyday, and text...I feel a part of me is missing terribly now... :(

Thats right always stay positive, there are many cases with horrible situations that are still getting passed...Thats the goal to be approved and bring your family together... So keep your head up.. and let's pray for healty aducators, so they can get our wiavers pushed through as quickly as possible!

Depending on the situation...some are being process quickly, others are not, like if they need a signaure, or more information do prove hardship..But, You have to have a copy of the denial before you can send off the I-601 they will just deny it...Thats why this process is taking so long, you can not file the I-130 joiintly with the I-601. Its very very very frustrating.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)March 2014 I-601 Filers

Still waiting, Just FYI update, in other groups I am in the I-601, there is has been several November Approvals, A December approval, without and Expidite...In addition, to Thursday of Last week, I saw a January approval, request for expidite on that case, but there was no exact approval...That ever went to the client....

In addition to this Info, I spoke at an immigration symposium on Friday April 25th, where I learned that USCIS is picking up the pace internally, for Citizen related cases, because of the huge back log, I have also Contacted the CEO of Nebraska Service Center, she did respond, and stated that they are working on getting the cases out, its been about 3 weeks since I recieved her response, she said they were working October...In my other group areas all October people have been approved, (only not including if you have had and RFE or some that have prior criminal history, those seem to be taking much longer.) The actual 6-8 months...Otherwise looks like a pretty good 5 month lapse...So keep your heads up people..I will keep posting, all this is found under my research itself...USCIS still hasnt updated thier I-601 status, so I would not read that, there is no way they are on the same date they were last month, at this time last year I-601 were takeing 3-5 months tops.

Hey Everyone I noticed there was not a timeline for just regular I-601 filers...So, I thought maybe I could start one. PLease add your sent out and recieved dates here, becuase I have researched this website and cant find any timelines for this i-601. So I am hoping this will help people see how much time is involved in their waivers. (I did not have to file a 212.)

Country: Guatemala

Date Sent to Lockbox: March 17th 2014

(I have not recieved the Notice yet, I will post when I recieve.)

My lawyer applied for an expidite, sooo Im praying that will pass.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNVC DS-3230 FORM

We also have an attorney.

We have our case number from NVC, We have paid the bill for i-1864 and the IV bill, both cleared. Our Attorney sent in the i-1864 and the DS - 230. They received those forms on 16th August 2013.

My husband ( us citizen) is ringing NVC daily and all they say is they have 20 days to do it in . That takes us up to the 12th of september.

This part seems to be taking sooooo long. I am so fed up of it all now sad.png

I am just wondering what is next now all this is paid and sent ??

Thanks.

I know it takes for ever! But that is good news that they have 20 days to do all of that in, compared to 6 months on everything else..haha. I am curious to see how long it takes to get the i-864 cleared for me to, and get the counselor processing to start. I am hopeing it is soon, very very soon, I would love to have my husband home around christmas....Good Luck!

CanadaThe NVC sent application to wrong embassy maybe?

I didn't know he couldn't get his family doctor to do the medical :o We planned on him having to stay over night anyways so I guess we will have to look into him staying a bit longer so that he could get his medical done there! Thanks a lot for the that tip :) Montreal is way out of our way anyways haha. So I'm glad there is something good to come out of having to do it in Vancouver!

CanadaThe NVC sent application to wrong embassy maybe?

Oh! Thank you so much for your reply. We were really confused about it, but I was sure they did not make a mistake. I mean, why would they send it to Vancouver when I clearly marked Calgary? I figured there was a good reason. uwu

Thanks again! :)

CanadaThe NVC sent application to wrong embassy maybe?

I'm pretty confused. When I filed my application for my Canadian fiancee I wrote in the box that I wanted it to be sent to the Calgary consulate (Since it's the closest one), however, the other day I got mail from the NVC saying they've forwarded our application to the Vancouver consulate. It also states that that is where his interview will take place.

This consulate is an 18 hour drive away from where he lives. :| Did they accidentally send it to the wrong one? Is the vancouver consulate the only one that processes these kinds of visas? I can't seem to find any information regarding this. Should we contact them about it and ask them to forward it to the Calgary consulate so that we may select that consulate for the DS-160 form?

Sorry if this is really dumb to ask about! :( In the end, I'm going to call them tomorrow if they're open, but I'd also like to hear from other people if that's possible!

CanadaVancouver consualte visa wait times

I have to say, everyone keeps thinking my fiance has obligations, but he doesn't hahaha. He does not have a job he needs to inform nor does he have family he needs to say bye to immediately. Either way, though, i decided to book the plane ticket a bit later heheh, It would be nice for him to get here on my birthday, but I think I'd rather be safe than sorry <:3

(also, what does AP mean?)

weh, if i wait that long though i'd have to wait even longer for him to get here since i'd have to book quite a bit after he gets the visa to get a decently priced flight ;w; maybe i will just do two weeks after his interview.... :<

LizehFemaleCanada2014-01-30 21:38:00
CanadaVancouver consualte visa wait times

I hope my topic title was clear enough hahaha

Anyway, I am curious how long it generally takes for an approved applicant to get their passport/visa after their interview from the Vancouver consulate. My fiance's interview isn't until April 2nd (Also, this date seems awfully far away, but i will take what i can get lol) but I'd really like to buy his plane ticket to the states really soon. I just don't know how far after the interview date I should schedule. Preferably as soon as possible!

I'm wondering if April 10th would be too risky of a date? That's my birthday and I think it'd be cute if he could come then, but it's okay if that can't happen. I'd rather be safe than sorry, but if others have had quick turnaround times then maybe? Please let me know of your experiences ;w;
