IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Hope everybody had a good weekend! THIS WEEK i'm positive we'll get tons of updates!!!!!   Question - Should I be getting another certified copy of my birth certificate, get it apostilled or whatever you call it, and then get it translated to spanish again for my interview in Dominican Republic (whenever I get it)? AND should I have my husband's birth certificate, police certificate, and our wedding certificate translated to english again?   Or will NVC send all that to the embassy? Also, if you get a case complete toward the end of a month, you should get an interview date soon after. You're almost there. If you haven't gotten a June interview date, then July for sure. Can you hold on a couple of more months? We are just about half way thru May already.   Yes, I definitely can. I keep telling him this will give me more time to get everything together, save a bit more money, etc.  PLUSSS i've seen more interviews made!! I think that it's just a personal decision, everybody knows their own limitations.  I personally do call every day. I do this because NVC bases everything on 30 days generally.  If I called once a week on Tuesdays for example. and something got approved on Wednesday, I am now delaying myself a week.  I think what was said about calling once a week is a GREAT idea for those who really can't manage the stress well  He yelled at me because I tried to give him my DOB when he asked for my name. But other agents have asked me in the past. He was all like, "I DON'T NEED YOUR DATE OF BIRTH MA'AM!" IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Thanks i tried calling to speak to tier 2 and they didnt want to transfer me told me after its approved its in the hands of the nvc Sometimes they didn't want to transfer me either, and I would just tell them thank you for your help, but I would like to speak to Tier 2 rep. And if they made a big deal, I just kept calling until somebody transferred me.  ANDDD, I would also call 2-3 times just to confirm that the information given to me the first time was correct.  Sometimes at USCIS they like to change up their answers. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	it's frustrating, the lenght of this process. i submitted my app in May 2013 and still i'm not done.   i hope one day someone will fix this and help people suffer less.   other things: i130 backlogs rfes checklists for blank boxes in aos, when instruction says to leave them blank denials of the original documents embassies issues   and everything depends on somebodies moods, visions, states of minds   Yesss I agree with you.  Especially with the blank boxes that have the instructions that say OPTIONAL.  The same thing happened to me.  Don't worry you are almost there at the end! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	2 questions.   1.  Does NVC or the embassy send the medical/interview letter to the applicant and how? Email or regular mail?   2.  I keep reading we should bring originals of birth certificates and wedding certificates.  Since the interview is in Dominican Republic, do I still have to translate the documents and if so to english or spanish? Also, would my birth certificate have to be apostilled?     Sorry just real nervous. I spoke to nice guy Kevin and he cruelly put me on hold for a while only to come back and tell me.. CASE COMPLETE. What?! I'm in shock right now. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!  So happy for you!!!! This gives the rest of us even more hope than before for May!!   OmG!!   This is my 4th NVC thread.. Feb,March. April and not it's May. I can't believe this. Me too!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2014 Interviews	We just called NVC for an interview date, but it hasn't been scheduled yet. They also told us that they have finished scheduling interviews for June now   I'll have to hope for a July interview now. Keep your hopes up.  They told me last Monday they weren't doing any other scheduling for June interviews, but I keep calling everyday anyway, and they haven't told me the same since.  And when I ask they tell me their not sure if their done with June yet.  My case was complete 4/30, I'm thinking they might use the left over people as fillers.   Wife is here. the feeling is surreal. immigration was a breeze. I live abroad with my husband so I don't have hte normal tax forms.       Hmm...perhaps you can take paystubs with you, have HR write a letter stating how much you earned and perhaps take proof of the tax extension with you. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2014 Interviews	Dwheels, our case is READY as of today, so I will be contacting the embassy to check on a closer interview date! Thanks for the tip and wish us luck!   Quick question- so I, the USC, did not give my 2013 taxes to NVC. I understand that at the interview, my hubby will be required to give the transcripts from myself and the joint sponsor, along with new AOS forms. However, I filed an extension and have not yet done my taxes. I am wondering what all my hubby needs to bring so we have no problems with my part. I have an IRS proof of extension. Do I also need to bring the form that I originally turned in to get the extension? Do I need to bring information on my 2013 income (even though it's foreign-earned and when I file it will be $0 so it doesn't count anyway?) Do I make a new AOS and put 2013 income as 0 since it won't count when I file taxes eventually or can I just show the extension and not make a new AOS? Or should I bring all of that to be safe and a letter to explain it all? Sorry if this question is repeated. Thanks in advance for clarifying.   You could also take I believe the 1099(s) the company you work for sends you. After calling 25 times, and being on hold for 45 mins...the verdict is in.....Interview scheduled for June 14 - 8:30am! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	Folks, if you want to be added to the spreadsheet, it'd be great if you made things easier for me and just gave me the data I needed (especially when you don't have signatures). Actually look at the spreadsheet (seems like some of you even haven't done that...) and the different columns. Don't give me dates I don't need (for the spreadsheet, I could care less when your NOA1 was). All I need is the following:   Service Center (which your I-130 was approved from) NOA2 date Date NVC received your case Date case number was assigned Date AOS package was sent out Date IV package was sent out Date DS-260 was completed   And before you request, make sure your timeline is filled out. I am no longer adding anyone to the spreadsheet that doesn't have a timeline filled out. And please keep it up to date (and matching with dates you give/that are in your signature). I'm doing this now as the data from your timeline is used in some of the functions of this website. And although I'd love to require signatures as well (since they're so much better than timelines when looking at time ticks as timelines don't have everything), data isn't pulled from them by the website. I love that everyone is bringing their pets. When I moved to the US, I brought my Border collie with me. There is no way that I could leave her behind. She was only 7 months and it was harder on me than it was on her. We had to go Dublin to Chicago and on to Dallas/Fort Worth. They lost her in Chicago! I should have claimed her as over-sized baggage and checked her in for the DFW flight but they couldn't find her. Finally after me totally flipping out, they found her in cargo but that poor dog was crated for 21 hours total and I didn't get to see her until I landed in DFW. I remember getting her out in DFW and laying newspapers on the floor of the airport and she squatted and peed and peed and peed some more. She was so relieved, poor baby! Well, I have been reading VJ since December now.  I have one question.Our (mine and daughter) I-130 at the NVC stage, NVC got our documents February 19, now we are waiting for case numbers. After we will get case #, due to situation in Ukraine, my husband going to file an expedite. So the question is: If we are approved for an expedite, do we still need to send packet IV or not? Or I will just bring original document to the embassy.  Thank you, for any help.   USCIS: (IR1)   07/15/2013 - I-130 Sent 07/18/2013 - NOA1 01/23/2014 - NOA2 approved 02/06/2014 - I-130 Sent to NVC   NVC:   02/19/2014 - NVC received    I would not wait to get a case number to request an expedite. Collie, did your parents need to get "kitty visas" for their cats? I think it's awesome that people don't have to leave their pets behind. I'd be devastated to leave my kitty! I had to get a health certificate for my dog, and she had to get her vaccinations. I brought her with me on the plane, and we had no problem getting through customs with her. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	so is there something I should be obsessing over now that I am approved?  another database showing progress???  You may or may not get and email that says that your cases were shipped out to the NVC. If your status doesn't change within the next few days, I'd contact the congress person again. I know that they're stating they have 6-8 weeks to ship it out to the NVC, but I'd start raising hell if it doesn't leave the USCIS within two weeks. Especially given the length of time that you've already been waiting. After it actually leaves the USCIS, it usually gets there within 2 weeks. I started calling daily about a week after I got approval. Then it's the long ridiculous slog to get the case number. Reacting to every opportunity the moment it becomes available has become an obsession.  I feel the same way! I fear that we won't be seeing him until June because of the way things appear to be going time-wise at the NVC. I haven't seen him in over a year at this point, and I just can't wait for this ####### to be done with. I have been checking the CEAC website just about every half hour for the past week or so.
