I getting to a point I not longer care. So if they want RFE I will not be home to respond. I have heard you have a limited time to respond. If this come the week before Christmas and it only give me a month to respond I will not be at home. I have been more than patient. Now they tell us a limited time to respond is ridiculous. We are held to a higher standard then the people who are supposed to be serving us. If you have received a REF would you tell me how long they give you to respond. Although quite a few of us have not yet had any news, since our transfers, there seems to be some relatively steady action. This is a positive. . I hope we all have our approvals very soon and hope we are not in the same situation as the below filers. I ran across one thread, that may already have been mentioned in this thread; for many, who applied in June, 2012, it took approximately one year to get an approval. Their cases were transferred from VSC to NSC in August, 2012. So, NSC may have been a little backlogged before our cases even got there. We also have to keep in mind, I think it is like 6 degrees in Nebraska. This could cause office closures. So, if we do not see any action for a little bit, it could be the weather playing into it. I found this phone number, 402-633-4000, option 3, that tells you if the office is open, but it is the local, Omhaha, office. However, if this office is closed, then, it is highly likely that the adjudicating office is closed as well. http://www.visajourn...service-center/ Those were transferred in August 2013, not 2012. And they appear to be F2A's or AOS? That's an entirely different situation as far as I know. They have numerical limits per year and have to wait until their date is "current" in order to be processed. IR/CR's don't have that.     Also, as far as I know, 6 degrees is not unusual for Nebraska in the winter. I know it gets that cold here in NJ and they don't shut down everything. Our PD was 3/21 and our case got transferred to Nebraska on 11/12. I have updated my timeline but could not update the google spreadsheet since it did not allow me to edit anything. NBC	Easy to say when you filed more than half a year ago....sigh....I don't even know if I or my wife can make it to where you are, I am only one month in and already getting demoralized I didn't start getting antsy until about month 6. I mean, I expected it to take about that long. You probably won't have anywhere near the processing time that I am at even now (and still not approved 8 1/2 months in) *IF* they are correct and the processing times will be back to 5 months by sometime in the first few months of 2014. Does anyone have any idea why I-129Fs for K-1s are being processed so quickly at the Service Centers? Can someone please enlighten me? I just don't get it and probably never will unless someone can give me an explanation.  Well, obviously it's because their future family unity is important, and there's much less of a chance of a fiance coming here with a sham relationship to immigrate. Duh.  /sarcasm   Honestly, I have no idea. I don't think it should take forever for them either. Being separated from the one you love sucks big time. I was reading through their report from 2010, and it appears that RFE's like this were commonplace, and they made suggestions to fix that problem. If you're still having that problem, then the USCIS *still* hasn't fixed it. The Ombudsman may be able to address that either with you, or with the USCIS and Congress in their report. Don't know what that means, and how usual is for these I130 petitions to be transferred to local offices ?   I would guess that local office have less of these petitions then NBC, and they should work on them sooner. But again, it's just sad to be transferred after 7 months, and now if i have to wait few more months on a decision that is gonna really suck.... They don't transfer them to the local offices anymore. Your file was sent to one of three service centers. I know what the email said, but it's not accurate. I got 3 transfer emails and each one said that my case was going to a different place.   It says your local USCIS office, so i guess its in my neck of the woods lol Just not sure how soon these local offices can work on these cases ? It's either Texas, Nebraska, or California. If you can't wait to find out which one, you can call them on their 800 number, and ask for a Tier 2, and ask them where your file actually is going. NBC	On December 2, 2013, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.    I just checked my case and.......so transferred after seven months wow. I guess in that notice they send will say where my case was transferred ?   How long does it take for a decision when case is transferred, or are we in another process of waiting forever ?   So far, it seems to be a ####### shoot depending on where you were transferred to just how long it takes. In theory, they should be giving you a decision within 60 days from being transferred. Whether or not this is true for most people remains to be seen.    When they send your hard copy of the transfer notice, it should say where it's been transferred to. If you can't wait to find out, you can call the USCIS tomorrow, and speak to a Tier 2 and ask them where exactly your case it.   There's a spreadsheet around here somewhere, where we're keeping tracks of who is getting transferred where and approval rates.
