US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	South African K-1 Interviews...	I originally thought it was only in JHB, but since others have asked me I have started to second guess myself... THat is why I am trying to find out if JHB IS the only K-1 visa issuing post now. I will just call the consulates on Tuesday and find out that way. Thank you for the reply. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	South African K-1 Interviews...	Hi there, I am just wanting to double check for myself and a few other fellow South Africans that I am in contact with. I was under the impression that no matter where you live in South Africa, the K-1 Visa interviews are ALWAYS at the Johannesburg Consulate... Quite a few people have said they thought they could interview in Cape Town too, and one friend has the Durban Consulate written on their NOA2. I see also that there is only information on here for the Johannesburg Consulate, so I'm still thinking I'm correct in believing they only do the interviews in Johannesburg? Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could let me know exactly what supporting documents my Fiance needs to send me with the I-134 if he is Self Employed? He has been self employed since the time he started working (which is a few years now). I have been trying to look for this info. but i can't seem to find it anywhere. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	What income does the Embassy use on the 1040?	If the sponsor is self employed then the income amount on line 22 of the most recent year's tax return is the number. If the sponsor is a wage/salary earner then current and continuing income is what is used. This is typically documented with an employer letter and recent paystubs. Thank you! Line 22 has an amount higher than the poverty line - so that's GREAT! Because he is self employed, he sent me a letter from the person he does work for (he's like a sub contractor) and then he sent me copies of his last two cheques he received - because he does not have paystubs being a self employed person... will this be okay? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I-130, When will it be approved?	Hi Everybody!   I'm a US citizen, married my husband in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in January 2013. I sent the paperwork and it was received by USCIS on March 14, 2013. I never received my physical receipt, but was able to call to get the number. The case starts with MSC, and when I call they tell me it's in the National Benefits Center. Just wondering, when should I expect my I-130 to be approved?? I'm not married yet and I can only imagine how it..... But where I don't agree with you is the point that she was nice to me! I think the right words are sounding different and she could have said everything more in a nice way! She sounded like she is making fun of me and is telling me what to do! I didn't asked her for telling me what to do! I just asked what she did to passing by time! Really sorry but this is my opinion and I don't think she was nice! I have seen a lot more friendly people than this! Look even how she wrote! I'm not sitting here and taking this,.... I'm sorry but you don't have to read it than,..... You are misunderstanding what she wrote, probably due to the language difference. I know that what she said would sound rude in German, but in English it doesn't have that connotation at all. She was giving you suggestions on how to get through this in order to keep your sanity. Nothing more was meant by it. And I'm not jumping down everybodys throat here but I'm not sitting here and listen that it s "redic" to wait just 3 months! And we don't even have the noa yet! I also said i agree it is much harder when you wait YEARS (like she said it) ! I don't think that 3 months is ridiculous. It takes time to process files. I would have been happy with the total of 8-9 months of total processing time that they were averaging when I filed my petition. That being said, I do think it's silly that petitions that were filed after you are already getting their NOA2 if they're in the same service center. Have you checked on the USCIS website to see when your file was last touched? Have you had your fiance call to find out what's going on with your case?   Again, I've been waiting for 8 months.I still don't have an NOA2 yet. If 3 months is ridiculous, then 8 months must be obscene to you. Perhaps you are only considering your own pain, and not that other people have been waiting much longer. Imagine that you've already been married for years, and can't see your spouse for that long. It really sucks. I'm not saying that what you're going through isn't difficult, it most certainly is. But you will probably be approved and here with your fiance long before my husband is here. USCIS Service Centers	WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH TSC?????	I'm an I130 IR filer from March. I've been waiting for 8 months and still don't have my NOA2. I am living with my grandparents, and don't have a car, or job. I also have two children under the age of 5.  I understand how upsetting and frustrating it is. My best suggestion is to find something to do in the meantime, read on here, and try not to make yourself crazy. I know how hard it is, I really do. I don't just have my pain to carry, but that of my children who desperately miss their father. I've found that getting outside and walking or doing some kind of activity, even if it's dreary and rainy, helps to keep me from losing it on a regular basis.
