IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsI-130 APPLICATION APPROVED IN 13 DAYS!!! ^___^

Hang in there.  We were a late-May I-130 filer that got transferred on November 21st and approved yesterday (December 12th).  Wife is from the Philippines, but not from any of the areas affected by the typhoon.

See, but that's what I'm saying. I'm from March, transferred on Nov. 7th. My husband is from the Netherlands, and our case has been collecting more dust since transfer. I really think it's because you're from the Philippines at all, that they're pulling your cases and pushing them through faster.  I certainly understand the need to speed up the process for people in the affected area, but why are people who aren't from there also getting faster processing?

Don't get me wrong, and I mean this sincerely. I am happy for everyone who has already gotten approved. But I've been waiting for nearly 9 months, and it is very difficult for me to see people who have no reason to get pushed ahead of me, who filed after me and were transferred after me, get approved.

I cannot believe that you are still waiting. Just W-I-T-F is going on over there? April is starting to make some serious headway, and March is starting to slow down.

Yeah, it's crazy. Seems like a few people on here are in the same box as me and have been waiting just as long or longer. I'm hoping that we'll be able to finish this before my birthday in July at this point.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsI-130 APPLICATION APPROVED IN 13 DAYS!!! ^___^

You're not the only ones getting fast approval.  I just got an email this evening saying our I-129F application (fiancee visa) was approved.  It's only been 21 days since the USCIS received our application.  This seems impossible, but if it's true I am totally thrilled!  Hopefully I will receive the official notice in the mail in the next couple of days.

Fiance visas have been blazing through at lightning speed. Good for you guys. Not so good for those of us who have been married for years already as the IR/CR visas have been sitting collecting dust for months.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsShare your story

i wanted to do my part, even though I am fresh at this stage of the game but I feel for so many struggling and patiently waiting. besides emailing, faxing, etc, I started a site where you can share your story and hopefully, forward it to whomever so they see people behind the numbers.

Any advice or suggestions are welcome. :-)

That's awesome, except for one thing. The current immigration reform proposals do not address our situations at all.  I support immigration reform, tbh. But what they're proposing does not fix the current broken system nor offer any real solutions, transparency, nor accountability, regardless of what the politicians are saying about it. If we don't fix the current system, any attempt at implementing what they are suggesting, again, imo, will be an unmitigated disaster. If they throw millions more people at the current system, it's going to be a cluster ####.

Just speechless... I'm not relaying this information to my wife, it will break her heart and i dont want to see her cry... Will wait for next month, where they reduce the number back 1 month for processing times and goto Feb 14 2013 processing date...

though you know what, most of the approvals came in november and december, and Oct was a pretty slow month for approvals based on my recolection... this information is about 60 days old...

This information was what they had available when they told us that they were working diligently to clear our backlog. Nov. #'s will probably be improved, but still nowhere where they need to be.

And advancing 1 day in over a month. BULLHONKEY.

Hi guys, I just got an approval. My pd is may 13 and transferred to csc on dec 10 and just got approved today, dec 20th. Yuhuuuuu

Damn, that's fast. Congrats to you!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsno change at uscis after all

Thats doesnt appear to be the case....we're late june filers...transferred to CSC late Nov, I130 approved 12/7, on our way to the NVC!!!

You're beneficiary is from the Philippines. You're getting auto-expedited.  I'm a March filer, transferred to NSC early Nov. And no word on my case yet. So yes, from my perspective, my case went from gathering dust at the NBC to gathering dust at the NSC.

I agree, always try to keep your timeline filled in so members can help you with more information.

I would suggest you log onto this site several times a week, and read and learn, all you can!

These people are experts!

My "humble opinion" is that you will not be finished this time next year, give or take a month or so!  Your NOA 2 will take 10-12 months, then NVC.,.,.,just read, learn all you can about the process, on this site!

IF, I may ask.,.,.,.,why did you go the I-130, instead of the K-1 visa, which is "usually done in less than 8 months.,.,..,.,.?????????????????

I see so many people on this site going through the I-130, because they do  not know that an K-1 visa is sometimes, 1/2 the time!!!

Or because it's not even an option, maybe? Or perhaps because the CR visa is superior to the K1? (You don't have to adjust status, etc. Just have to remove conditions after 2 years of marriage.) Or because the IR/CR visas *weren't* taking that much longer when they (generic they) filed? Or because they just really wanted to be married? I can think of a bunch of reasons why they would go the IR/CR route instead of the K1.

We are actually hoping that they will clear this backlog and get back to their processing goal of 5 months. But the processing numbers that they just put out don't suggest that's going to happen any time soon. We'll have to wait for next month's release to see if it's improved enough to make an impact.

I predict that if there is, it's almost entirely due to the CSC.

Do you know about the timeline feature here on VisaJourney? You should fill it out because it will help others answer your questions as well.

Here is a link that shows petitions for the NBC:

http://www.visajourn...tion=3&sortby=2

In between the NOA1 and NOA2, it is possible that you can get an RFE (Request for Evidence), which means someone is working your petition and they need more information to complete it. You may also be transferred to another service center, as many are transferred to help with the delay in processing (you mentioned your petition is at the NBC).

Right now, based on what I've been "studying" here on the forum, I estimate that my entire process will be completed by March or April 2014, and I filed in July of this year.

I filed in March of this year, and I'm hoping that the entire process will be complete by about the same time.

Being married for 8 years, two kids and still no approval after ninemonths? USCIS is ridiculous!

Yes. Yes they are.

Don't mean to disregard those who are still waiting.. but yeah I was only married two months when I sent in my petition and received the NOA2 yesterday after just a little over five months since my NOA1.

You're lucky. Must be nice. You should play the lottery with that kind of luck.

make any difference in processing?

am just wondering if those that are married 3 months have a shorter or faster processing than those married 5,10, yrs plus??

I supposed if a minimum, it would at least show that 5, 10 yrs plus have a "proof of time together" LOL

not jail time, just married time ha ha

have a fantastic Christmas everyone and hope that all have a great speedy outcome to the big wait in 2014!!!!!!  dancin5hr.gif

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsTSC anyone?

I-130 pending since October 25-2013 at TSC. 10 months since NOA1.
I knew I was an unlucky human being. Waiting 10 months is painful especially when you only get lies and lies and lies .....
Waiting forever is a natural disaster as well

What is your priority date?

It could mean that you're about to get your approval. It could be a computer glitch. Wait couple of days, and if you don't get another notice, I'd call, talk to a tier 2, and tell that you didn't change your name and ask what's happening with your case.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsCase Transferred to NSC (what is NSC processing time) :'(

Hello All,

My case is transferred to NSC(Nebraska service center), But I don't know if they are doing IR-1/CR-1 I-130 forms, there is no information available on their site nor on this visa journey portal,  even the processing time is missing ,

Anyone else transferred Nebraska service center  ?

I am just worried , sad.png

Thanks

TA

They're doing them, they're just SLOW. I got transferred there almost 2 months ago and haven't heard anything. Have you looked at the spreadsheets?

I can't currently get to the USCIS's case processing pages, but as of yesterday, they said all service centers were processing Feb. 13, 2013 applications. This is obviously a vast improvement, as last month's processing date was Feb. 12, 2013.

If you're interested, I have the volume and trend charts that were posted last week saved to my FB account. And I'll be adding them to our US Citizen's I130 Petitioner Committee group on FB shortly.

In the meantime, what's your transfer date? Priority date? I'll add you to the appropriate spreadsheet so we can keep track of what they're doing.

My PD is 5/16, transferred to NSC on 12/12; if I do not hear anything by 1/20, then I will reach out to my congressman/senator and USCIS Ombudsman.

@shama786: Please fill-in your timeline in VJ and this spreadsheet https://docs.google....RkWDZUSEE#gid=0.

Good luck.

We'll be able to test their 60 day policy before that if they don't approve me. I was transferred to NSC on Nov. 7. I'm holding them to that date. :P

Wait, the guy who oversaw the massive delays in processing I-130s and did barely anything about it for months has been promoted?

And engaged in other shady dealings in the name of the USCIS. Yes, he was promoted.  I hope this mess comes back to bite him in the ###.

The reason the fax might be is that the man you're sending it to was just promoted:

http://www.senate.go...on=1&vote=00285

I'm not sure how many Visa Journeyers follow U.S. politics closely but the U.S. Senate recently voted to change the rules regarding executive nominations.  Before a 60 vote majority was needed to end debate or 'filibusters' and move to a final vote for nominations.  Now only a simple majority is needed.  The man who was in charge of USCIS is now Deputy Director of DHS.  His confirmation was one of the first to come since the rules change and the Senate voted party lines 55-45.  I suspect his office is either off celebrating, packing it up for the holidays, or boxing things up for the new office already.

I saw that. I wonder who is going to take over the position in the interim, and if we can catch them early on and appeal to them. If we take a less adversarial tact with a new person, it may work in our favor. We know that this new person did not cause the problems, but will be in charge of fixing them. I think our next letter should be written accordingly.

I also sent email to Rebecca.S.Carosn [at all the 3 addresses below, hoping one will work] , she is the Chief of Staff at USCIS; please email her too.

Also, I added in the phrase 'US Citizen?s Immediate Relative' to the first line so that people aren't confused.

wait for the hard copy. I heard of  a few operators tell people they were transferred to a local office but they really don't know what they are talking about. They are reading a screen.  The hard copy will be the notice you will go with.

You've gotta talk to a tier 2. The tier 1's will tell you it's at the local office, because they don't know jack squat.
