IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	the embassy send me a letter for personal explaination of ineligibility of visa classification	very sorry to hear about your situation. I wish I could give you good advice, but I am not qualified to do that. I know they won't approve a visa without certified copies of the divorce papers. Your husband should been able to get a certified copy from the court house....actually you could get a copy too. It's a public record and open to anyone . I am not sure about the area he lives, but in my area you can even search online and see the divorce cases. I would think you could get a marriage annulment if that is what you want to do. Mexico, Latin & South America	Donde estan los Ecuatorianos??	Hi...... Wow, so you guys are already in the US! That is awesome, about how long did it take from the time you mailed in the I-29F form? I recently sent mine in around July 24th, and still haven't heard anything. I know it is a long wait, and I just need to be patient, but as I'm sure you are aware, sometimes it is hard to be patient. Anyways, I guess I'm writing to get as much as advice as you are willing to give. Also, I'd like to know about the vaccination records that they ask for(for boyfriend) at the med exam and the interview, do you know where you can get these, and how much they would charge to get these records???? Also what about the police records that they ask for, for your boyfriend, where can you get those and how much do you think they charge for that? I just want to get as much as we can get done before hand as possible so that when the next time does come we will be ready with all the paperwork and such................ Is there anything else you would recommend doing as we wait? I know I have a lot of questions, mostly because my novio works, but doesn't earn very much as you probablly know how the job market is in Ecuador, and therefore I will be sending him most of the money he needs to get the papers he needs to get, but I just want to make sure I send him enough, and such................ thanks you so much! Recien mande mi I-29F el 24 de Julio, pero todavia no se nada. Todavia no he recibido mi NOA1.......estoy un poco preocupada, pero yo se que aveces demorra un poco para hacer todo. Otra pregunta que tengo es sobre las vacunas. Yo lei en la pagina de la embajada de Ecuador que antes que llega a la entrevista que tiene que mi novio tiene que traer su lista de vacunas que ha tenido desde que nacio. No se donde puede sacar eso, ni se cuanto cuestara........mi novio tampoco no sabe donde mismo tiene que ir a sacar eso, ni cuanto cuestara.......aluguien aqui si sabe de eso? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	College Grad/Peace Corps volunteer, can I support my fiance?	Hi I graduated college in 2004 and then joined the peace corps, from 2004-2006 i lived in Ecuador as a Peace Corps volunteer. I returned from the Peace corps September 2006 and started working as a full time high school teacher in December 2006 until present. During college I only worked about 10 hours a week, and during the Peace Corps I lived off what the government gave me which was about 3,000 a year. Obviously I'm making plent right now to support the both of us, but......what do you guys think will I need a co-sponsor for my affidavit of support? I'd rather not have one, but I'm thinking I just might need one seeing that 2004-2006 I made next to nothing due to college and Peace Corps. Please let me know your opinions! US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Packet 4 Ecuador	My fiance is from Ecuador, and on the guayaquil website it says they have already sent him the Packet 4 about a month ago.......but it still hasn't arrived. I called the consulate in guayaquil and they said i could just download the packet 4 from the website. Do you think this is form the Guayaquil consulate website? or another one? Also..........my mom is our co-sponsor......Does her tax returns need to be notarized? My fiance finally got his K1 Visa approved in Ecuador on March 19th after an exhausting 8 hours spent inside the consulate, both of us, they finally called him up and approved it!!! WOOO HOOO My question now is this, we've decided to wait until July of this year for him to travel to the US......is this waiting too long? will the Visa be expired, is there a time limit on how fast you have to use it? Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Arrest Record	I'm so confused. I thought that what I had to send in was a copy of the criminal record if my husband has had trouble with the law before. Well, he has. He was taken in for a P.I. about a year ago. I went to the counties jail website, and found the link to request a record be sent. I sent for it, and was sent back a criminal record for my husband that stated that he has not criminal background. Now I'm confused, because he has been arrested, but has no criminal background according to the paper I received back from the county. Should I check, NO, on the I751 form, when it asks if he has ever been arrested? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	MY FIANCE HAS NO ADDRESS	I'm worried, because everywhere it asked for an address on the I-29F and biographic info. pages, all we put down was the road and kilometer point as to what town he lives in, people in his town do not get mail, and there is no mail service there. I didn't realize he needed an address where he could recieve things by mail. What should I do? If they try to send something to him according to the address I gave on the forms he will never get it. I have only been working full time for one year, before that I was a US peace corps volunteer in Ecuador for 2 years and therefore did not make anything and before that I was in college. I have my tax returns for the past three years, but it's not going to show anything for the past year that i have actually been working. Is this going to be a problem for when they look at my afidavit? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Supporting Evidence for Affidavit	Hi Ok thanks for all the help concerning supporting information for the AFfidavit ......So I just went to the IRS and ordered my transcripts for 2004,2005,2006 obviously we can't order 2007 yet, do you think they will ask for 2007 if my fiance's interview takes place sometime say in March? Also what all do you think they're looking at in the transcripts, because 2004,2005,2006 I sitll wasn't working yet, I was in college in 2004, and then in 2005 and 2006 I was in Ecuador in the Peace Corps. I just recently started to work as a high school spanish teacher and am making 44,000 and I am the only person that I am supporting, so I should be making plenty. After we have completed the Affidavit, and had it notarized, what all do we need to include for supporting evidence? Bank note, Employer note, and what else, what type of tax forms do we need? I am just so worried that I will send the Affidavit to my fiance in Ecuador and then when he takes the 16 hour bus ride to the consulate that they will tell him that he is missing something. Is this a form that we can download directly from the web site and complete on our own? And then after completing it I know we must take it to a notary here in the US, and then also include tax returns, W2's etc...... What I'm confused about is after we have taken it to a notary here in the US what do we do with it? Do we send it to the USCIS here in the states, or do we send it to our fiance so they can take it with them to the interview? Because I noticed that in his interwiew he is to bring the info. for how he will be supported in the US ???? Philippines	Flying US to Philippines / one way ticket ?	I bought a ticket on AirAsia for 28.50 USD from Clark airport to Koto Kinabalu, Malaysa. It is supposed to take all pressure off me when I go to Manila in June to be with my fiance for her medical and interview. I do not have actual experience, but what I have researched proposes that the airlines and the Philippines only require me to have a set way out of the country. Hope this helps! This site is awesome. Philippines	St. Lukes Medical Extension Clinic	When I applied for the Visa Interview online they allowed me to print a receipt. We will use that on Tuesday when we go. I was mailed the letter from Manila, but my fiance never received anything. I think the receipt online when you schedule an appointment should be fine. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Mother Mandatory at Interview in Manila?	Hi all, I was told that my fiance neede to bring her mother by a woman on the phone who admitted she was not sure... I could hear her asking the other people near her until she decided to inform me that it was mandatory, but she did not sound certain. When I called back about a different issue, a different woman said no, her mother does not have to come. She is 20 years old. Will a signed letter due? A notarized letter? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Manila K1 Visa Interview setting the date online	Hi All, When I go to the US Travel Docs website, I see all different headings under Non-Immigrant Visas. However, I do not see K1 Visa or fiance visa, so I just assume it is "other". When the date opened up that I wanted (June 23) I immediately tried to log in, as I had before. Now it said that I had to call. I figured that because I had logged in before but did not select a date maybe my date of payment had canceled out automatically or something and our information needed to be reset. I was told by the woman on the phone that K1 Visa appointments are considered immigrant visa appointments on their website. She gave me a UID and told me to go on under Phillipines, "non immigrant visa appointments", and then to "modify delivery address of visa". From there, I enter my fiance's PP, the UID, and a password that she gave me. She told me to check until my date becomes available. I took the opportunity to double check that my fiance's mother had to come to the visa interview. She is 20 years old. She said "no sir". Just 3 weeks prior it was "yes sir".... Now I am questioning her validity. What if I fly the whole way out there, meet my fiance, go in for the appointment, and they say "What are you, crazy! This is a nonimmigrant visa, you signed up for the wrong appointment!" I would be royally pissed! If you have any experience, please share. Everyone on here is a great support!
