K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA 1 :)	I sent my I-129F files into the NSC on 9/13/06 and they received it on 9/14/06. Then I got my NOA 1 on 9/25/06. Yay! I guess its now in CSC per the NOA 1 I received in the mail. I'm so happy and excited. Hoping for the rest of the process to be smooth and no RFEs. Crossing my fingers and praying for this After all the anticipation and compling of the papers, its such a good feeling getting the petition in the mail and being "official"...now come on and join us in the waiting process. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Texas NOA1 over 4 weeks!	I got the green postcard back saying ours was received at the TSC pn Sept 8 but still no NOA1 or cashed check yet. It's still very early for you. I received the NOA1 nearly a week before the check cashed. I kept checking the bank account instead of the mailbox! Some have the check cashed first, I didn't. Let's hope the NOA1 is just around the corner and you will not need to resubmit. Wishing you a speedy journey and quick reunion. thanks for your kind words, its appreciated im still holding out some hope but with us not in the system, no check cleared, its hardly looking good. im hoping they will allow us to resubmit directly to CSC if it comes to that as i know another couple on here did that when their package was returned due to IMBRA. If i havent heard anything in 10 days, we shall call back, check a direct CSC mailing is ok and then resend it shortly after. Well be sure to let us know how things are proceeding. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Texas NOA1 over 4 weeks!	well we called them today as we had a doctors appointment so my partner was back home in time. they have no record of us in the system and they suggest waiting 3 weeks and then resubmitting. i am pretty much in shock. the baby is 7 weeks gone and has a due date at the end of april and at this rate i wont be back for that... I am so sorry to hear this. I saw something happened on this board before where a file was mishandled, but i think its very rare. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Texas NOA1 over 4 weeks!	well we sent it via usps and got notice it was received in texas on the 17th at the service center. paid by cheque and so far its not been cashed.... one couple sent theirs in the day before us and got theirs monday, so i was really hoping ours would follow soon im patient, but my partner is already down as i wont be here for most of her pregnancy i wish i could comfort her by just saying we are on our way etc.. oh well Look at my signature and get an idea of the timing of my NOA1. It took a long time to cash the check. could your NOA1 be mispalced in the mail? How's your delivery. I can't imagne how much time you spend getting this ready for us. You are a dreamboat! It's wonderful to finally see most of March, April and May completed, but my heart goes out to those still waiting! Come on CSC...where are these NOA2s? There is no excuse for this! How are things going with your post NOA2 journey? Wishing you and Luz a quick reunion! I see that there are 24 people from March. I hope and pray that they get theirs soon. 6 months is just crazy! to wait! Thanks again, Gary! As elated as I am for finally getting my IMBRA RFE and looking over many people's timelines where most are now getting their approvals soon after the RFE, I'm still dismayed by the number of people that are still left over from March, April and May - while CSC seems to continue to approve July petitions. I'm curious if anybody knows how each petition is handled once an adjudicator is assigned to it? Obviously, the officer must juggle more than one petition at a time because as soon as the need an RFE, they can't go any further with the petition. But for those who've mailed back their RFE's more than a month ago, I'm wondering what the hell happened? Is the adjudicator processing other petitions? What keeps them from 'losing' a petition under a pile, or forgetting about it as petitions pile up? How many petitions are assigned to one officer at a time? Do they have a quota to meet? I just think about your situation, Gary - where you had to get your Senator involved. Once your Senator contacted them, you got your approval soon after. So I'm guessing that petitions get pushed aside and forgotten at times? Wish I could make sense of it all. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	This might be a stupid question	Hey everyone, I have always heard the stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked so here goes... When they ask for the evidence of meeting in the last two years can it only be two years? We've been together nearly 4 years and there are times we have met that I have evidence for before the time they ask for. I'd like to be able to tell them when we started our relationship etc, how we met the first time. I also have pictures I wouldn't mind showing that are from before 2 years as well. Like my graduation from High school (that he was at), prom pictures, etc. Thanks in advance! You must prove you have met within the last two years to meet the criteria for obtaining your NOA2 and moving the case to the consulate. Concentrate on sending evidence to meet this criteria. The remainder of the evidence will build a solid case for an on-going relationship at the interview. If you mention in Question 18 that you met 4 years ago, I think including one or two pieces of evidence to support his is okay. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Shaking Like a Leaf--APPROVED!!!	I literally can't believe it... I had just done a timeline search to update the stats I've been keeping. I thought, "Oh what the heck, I'll check my email to see what VJ responses have been posted." And when the mail had finished downloading, there it was...Not an RFE, an APPROVAL!!! I'm shaking all over, I'm so happy!! My baby's gonna be home soon, now...I know it's a lot to hope for, but wouldn't it be amazing if he could be here for Christmas...? I can't think of a better present...Well, I know I'll have to wait and see. In any event, no one will be able to wipe this smile off my face for WEEKS. I feel like I'm floating... I need to do something really special tonight to mark the occasion...but what? I already tried to call Laurent, but it's the middle of the night there. You can bet I left him a pretty excited message, though. Oh man, I hope he calls soon!!! LIFE IS GOOD!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Couple questions	Hey all. I have a few questions... I have read this on here before, could someone please clarify it for me? After we get the visa, my fiance has 6 months to "activate" it, and then from the activation date, has 90 days to get married? Correct? My fiance is from the UK, can he apply for a police record earlier in order to speed up the process? or are they going to ask for certain identification on why he needs it? Also. As far as my part, on the petition. I only have to send my birth certificate right? Not birth certificate and copies of every page of my passport? I am sending passport stamp pictures, but not everything else, like the page with my picture on it... etc. You apply for the ssn # after he gets here, before you get married? I have also heard someone say before (not on this website) that to get a permanant residency card costs $1000 is that true? I am sending out our petition today Just want to make sure I have everything correct. I have: Check (with yesterdays date as thats the day I wrote it) Cover letter Petition Supplement to petition #18 G-325A (both... all 8 pages signed + 4 pages supplement for work history, all signed) Passport photos Letters of intent Birth certificate (front and back) Evidence (Boarding passes, credit card statements, photos, passport stamps) And... I have made 2 copies of the whole thing, aside from all 8 pages of the G325A's, I only made 1 copy for each of us, because it's the same thing. lol. As far as the packet goes, is it alright to highlight things? I want to highlight dates on things with same colors so they know which things correspond. Like, His passport stamps to Canada (green) and my Credit card statement showing the hotel (green) etc. The USC needs to prove citizenship. This is usually done with the birth certificate so the passport is not necessary to send along also. Once the approval comes from the consulate, your fiance has 6 months to travel. Once your fiance arrives in the US you have 90 days to get married. Try asking about the police report in teh UK forum if you do not receive an answer here. Looks like your petition is ready to go. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	TSC delay after approval	Now I'm getting concerned and freaking out. We received our NOA2 Sept 21. I called NVC, they never receive any file from USCIS on our behalf and said it can be 3 months wait to arrive at NVC!!!! The NOA2 Notice had a Valid from date 09/21/06 to 01/20/2007 The 3 months would delay or cut 3/4 of the validity time! I thought we were done with TSC ignorance. Don't worry. NVC has been slower than usual lately. The NOA2 expiration date can be extended by the consulate by another 4 months. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	What's up with the California Service Center?	My initial application was received on August 15, 2006 - I got the official NOA1 - but nothing since then. On their website they say that they are processing visas from March 20, but I see other people getting approved. Should I be worried? I have heard nothing from them at all. Ours is a straight forward case - no children, previous marriages, criminal background, nothing. Educated guess - could I still hope for a March wedding? Sorry, stressed, lonely - like all of you. Thanks for the support. The March 20 processing dates is the result of restructuring customer response time. They have given themselves a 6 month window before they need to respond. Now that many of the cases caught up in the IMBRA snafu are being cleared (not ALL unfortunately), they seem to be processing many cases at a more normal speed (60-90 days). It's hard to predict if you will have the visa in hand by March (possibility of RFEs, transfer time with NVC, Consulate times etc). If things go smoothly March seems very reasonable to me, but then again I guess I'm hesitant after seeing so many cases delayed without rhyme or reason. My petition was received a couple of weeks after yours and I am optimistically hoping a visa in hand for my fiance by February...but tell myself it could be weeks later than this.	mybackpages	Female	Morocco	2006-10-04 23:35:00
