K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	CSC says approved	Okay, here is the story. Last week I was touched twice (Nov 14 & Nov 15) but no change in the the online status. This happened to at least 2-3 other VJers and on Monday the NOA2 came in the mail for them while still showing case pending on the online status. I checked my mail Monday Tuesday and today, but nothing. So I called USCIS, using the RFE prompts to get a person at CSC. I acted confused and told a little white lie. I said I was confused because my case was updated online and for a breif moment showed I was getting an RFE , but minutes later the status was back to case pending. She then volunteered that I was approved on the 14th but the notice had not been sent out. That she would have it sent out. Without the NOA2 in hand or an update on the system I am nervous about celebrating just yet, but I think I"VE BEEN APPROVED! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Where can you find	Hi Everyone, As you all know I was approved a few days ago, and I found out by e-mail. I have not actually received anything by mail just yet, but I am wondering if there is a website like USCIS that you can check when you been touched or it has passed and ready to go to counslate for the NVC. Does NVC have a e-mail alert website like USCIS?????? Thank you in advance, WJR. K1s normally process in and out of NVC within 2 weeks. You can call and talk to an operator to see if it has been assigned the new case number. Do not use the automated system for K1- the numbers are not entered. You can email them to find out information too. (emails might take 3-4 days for a reply. When the case is approved and ready to be sent out NVC will send you a letter. If you know when the petition leaves NVC you can use the tracking system on dhl.com to see the packages leaving for your consulate. There is no way to knowif you petition is in which one, but you can gestimate based on what NVC tells you. Good luck! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 timeline	You will have your check cashed and recieve a NOA1 within a few weeks. Then the waiting begins. The USCIS processing time of 6 months is part of a recent reorganization of the system. Some petitions could take 6 months but most are completed between 60-90 days. But with this new hiring they are doing...it should help..but they will probably go through some sort of training..and who knows how long that will be... I wouldn't think no more then 4 weeks.... I'm at 45 days... my 60th day is Thanksgiving ... I'm praying for a 55-65 day NOA2 or less would be good I haven't had any touches..I'm not sure if thats good or bad.. I'm hoping it's good because a RFE means you need to forget about a wasted 30-60 days for that.. Just curious if they have started on the September's yet...thanks...!!! I know its frustrating waiting and not knowing why everyone around you and after you are getting their approvals. Remember that each file is unique and takes a different amount of time to verfiy and complete security checks. Waitign a little longer does not necessarily mean there is a problem with your file, hand in there and jus try not to count the days too much. I know everyone wants their N0A2 as soon as possible and I hope everyone gets theirs in a timely manner, but there are still March, April, May, June, July waiting. Yes, most of those were affected by the IMBRA fiasco but many of them are still waiting even though they've sent in the information on IMBRA. And while many of August filers have been approved already, not all are there yet, including mine. My N0A1 date is 10 August 2006 and I've watched as many who filed after me in August have been approved and moved on. Heck, some of those who filed at the same time as me have already cleared NVC and have their P3 and P4 and interview dates already. I've been very anxious as I've watched my fellow August filers get approved while my case lies dormant. No touches since filing. And now I'm seeing September filers being approved. Hmmm.... seems a bit like standing in line at the grocery store waiting patiently to be checked out while others who came into the store after me are being pulled to the head of the line. Am I ticked off about it? Sure I am, but I'm not mad at the people who file their applications. I'm upset with USCIS for not having some type of system that allows for a first in, first out instead of just grabbing any application and approving it, with no regard to when it was filed or who's being bypassed. I'm at day 90 and still waiting... although I'm not as patient as I have been and I'm getting less and less patient as I continue to see people who filed after me being approved. The consulate can not deny on any issue already approved by USCIS. For consulates that opearte like this the kinds of evidence submitted in the original petition should be considered. Just playing devil's advocate here: What is the basis for your statement that the consulate cannot deny based on previously adjudicated issues by the USCIS. No no good question. I suppose I should have said. there are some VJers who did have to appeal a consulate denial and in their experiences they were told learned that something approved by USCIS, can not be used to deny. USSCIS evidence approval stands unless of course the consulate in the interview learns that the originally sumitted & approved evidence was fruadulent in the first place. Often no evidence is accepted at the interview. Maybe they will look at photos. Fiances have been denied even though they has arm loads of evidence like phone records, emails etc and were sometimes not allowed to present this info. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location." My fiance contacted the congressman and the senator it was 1 month ago,and we are still waiting and waiting... I am so sorry you are stuck like this. I know AndyMisu went pass the 60day mark and was able to send in a expedite request. This type of expide is different from the normal expedite that is usually referred to in pushing a case forward. I would suggest PMing him. He can give you the details of which form he used and how it worked. Also if I would follow up with the Congressman or Senator. Or maybe try one of your other represenatives to see if their immigration aide is better at handling this. I can't see your timeline to know when you filed and if you are outside of normal CSC processing time, but you are outside the 60 day window they gave you and I would try to use that to get an answer. Gotta get the reciept number and make an online account to see the NOA1 online. thanks that information is very helpful (and fast!), this is a great forum. I guess we are all in the same boat and I will probably be insane by the time this is all finished. At least my darling will be here to nurse me back to sanity once it is all over. I will look online that once the check is cashed. Does anyone know the average time from when the packet is sent to when the check is cashed? Do they cash it before forwarding to CSC or will I have to wait for it to get forwarded? Thanks. You can look at my signature to get an idea of time and order of events.
