I been in a investigation fro these past months. It has now been returned to the regular processing. Maybe I'll hear something in a few weeks. So be patient and glad you are not in my shoes. Yes I noticed that this morning. It seems they have a new message (saying the same thing). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Touched ????	When the last date updated changes in your USCIS online portfolio for your case changes- that is VJ for "touched". There is no definative answer to what it means- Some cases are never "touched" and still receive approval. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Touches	Once you get your case number from USCIS you can register online and set up a portfolio to check the status of your case. There is a "last updated" date. Anytime this date changes you have been "touched". You can be touched without seeing a status change for your case. You can never get touches and still get approvals. Touches are very unpredictable. TSC no longer handles fiance visas. There was a restructuring of USCIS. Can anyone give me an idea of what they need to help me out? What sort of information do they require? Is it just my case number? Sorry, I feel like such an idiot with this ....but I have been waiting for so long, and I am very open to all suggestions. Thanks again! Remember you have a US Congressman and 2 Senators. You will most likely work with an aide who handles immigration issues. If one aide in one office is not helpful call another office. Find one that seems to be helpful and has a sense of what needs to be done. Be prepared to give them as much detail as possible about your case in terms of dates and correspondence (or lack of) with the serivce center. Several members here have been tracking the statistics of approvals, do a search for these posts and use the evidence to show the process of cases. It could help. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NSC timeline question	Ok folks, I need some help, please. Have received the first NOA from Nebraska Service Center; receipt dated 9/27/06. USCIS website now says petition is now in California office. Site also says that the NE Service Center is now processing I-129Fs from April 18, 2006 (but I think this date has been same for a couple of months). Anyone on this list have semi-accurate idea how long the wait (backlog) between 1st NOA and 2nd NOA really is at the NE service center these days? Thanks in advance for all replies. Tim K1s are no longer processed by NSC and they's why you were transfered to California. (Same for the Texas service center). USCIS also restructured their processing times to give themselves a 6 month window to complete cases. Most cases donot take this long. An average wait out of California is 70-90 days. When you do the timeline search timelines for CSC, NSC and TSC K1 petitions to get an idea how many people are going through from here on VJ and what their time estimates are. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA2	Since I'm sitting here on Saturday night daydreaming about when I'll recieve NOA2, can someone tell what it will say? Better yet, does anyone know where I can see a digitized version? NOA1 was issued 10/26/2006, so I figure early January for NOA2 based on average timelines. I got sent to California Service Center, even though I live in North Carolina. I wish it were in Vermont. How can there be such big difference in processing times???? Don;t worry it will eventually come through. It's hard to predict because each case is different. Many cases are being approved between 70-90 days and a few have longer or shorter waits. I know it doesn;t reallyhelp to say it will come eventually, but it will. This process has sent me nerly over the edge a few times I was within the processing times. All you can do is keep educating yourself with the experiences here, take refuge inthe support sytem here and with your friends. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA 1	I just talked with my Fiance' in Wa, She obtained the file #on the back of the cHeck from her bank We keyed it in on the USCIS tracking site . It showedd the NOA1 as returned by the U S Postal Service They confused her address with the people in an another Apt that had moved out It was returned Oct 23 to USCIS The U S Postal Service may have just cost us more waiting torture by thier stupidity. We're hoping this mistake they made doesn't set our case back to starting again We already have 2 months gone Could this happen would USCIS do that for something that we had no control over As far as we were concerned everything was going along . K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA 1	Good afternoon all I would like some help or info if at all possible in regard to our Fiance' K1 Petition any info would be greatly appreciated. On Sept 19/2006 our petition was sent to Nebraska I live in Canada my Fiance in Washington State sent in our application and the fee required She has not yet gotten an NOA1 inforning of the receiving of her petition On Nov.15 the cheque accompanying the application cleared the bank. Still nothing from Nebraska. Is there a phone number or email she can contact to see just what is happening and where this NOA1 is at WOW that is an usually long time for the check to clear, but now that it has, the NOA1 should be coming. It will come from California because both NSC and Texas SC send all K1s to CSC. The case number will be on the bac of the check but it should be a WAC#######. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I hate VSC	I'll fill in a timeline, I know many people, especially via the other centres are having an even worse time and I don't mean to make them feel worse by complaining so quickly. I just got my hopes up after seeing 12 and 7 day approvals via VSC, I thought it was going to be wrapped up before the new year and I was excited. Coming to the UK they have a 10 day maximum wait for a decision on a visa, I just wish they'd bring in a law like that over there so everyone one of us could get our approval. Maybe for christmas if we're good! I think it is extremely difficult to go through this process. When you filed at VSC you had hope for a certain expectation in terms of quick approvals. Now you find youself the only one it seems waiting more than a couple ofweeks. That has to be very difficult becaue just like us at CSC tehre just doesn;t seem to be any rhyme or reason why. Recently another poster was in the same position as you re. In VSC and never could get out yet still with in the 6 month window so couldn;t call.
