K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	details for interveiw	I am wondering how detail should sveta's docs be for when she goes to kyiv? as it stands now the folder has 31 tabbed dividers and i have almost everything in a different divider ie each of past 3 years of taxes in a tabbed divider for each year and so on this an over kill? index is like this i-129f petitions form letters of intent birth records bank records with past 12 month deposits receipts ( misc ) flight records phone logs sms logs 2009 taxes 2010 taxes 2011 taxes letters of employment contracts ( as i am a contractor ) divorce 1 divorce 2 emails support to sveta support for sveta thru 3rd party last is relationship photos is this an over kill? as of now the whole folder is 2 inches think and will be adding more as interveiw draws closer for updating Edited by Sveta & Ron, 09 April 2012 - 12:36 PM. Lucky for you - there's not any AOS on the two of you, at all (Adjustment of Status) the I-134 you signed is a non-binding document, unlike the I-864 that's submitted with the adjustment of status paperwork. So ya dodged that bullet. She's already here, from what I can tell. Sure, report her to ICE... Send a POSTAL LETTER into 1. National ICE office 2. Local ICE office inside the local USCIS office 3. US Embassy IV Unit in Columbia USCIS really won't do anything unless she's out of status, past the expiration date on her I-94. She can't legally adjust status without the K-1 petitioner (that's you) going forward with filing the Adjustment of Status paperwork, after marriage. Yer filing an I-134, instead, back to the US Consulate IV Unit in Guangzhou, China. DO NOTE that there is another fee, the visa application fee, to be paid at CITIC, ya bring the receipt in .. My husband got his right away, and we were able to take care of all the evidence for AOS right after marrying. I think some banks do not require a ssn to be put on the account, but we found things went more smoothly already having the ssn. It really isn´t that much of a hassle, and as others have said, it is free. Plus once you have your EAD, you will be glad you have your ssn already. It will allow you to be added to your husband´s bank account, etc. It is just easier to have it done already before you start worrying about the other stuff. Having a SSN is useful AFTER marriage, as it's yer entry point, an EASY entry point, into other things: 1. getting added to the utilities accounts 2. getting added to the bank accounts 3. getting a credit card in your name 4. getting added to husband's insurance at work. all important things to do AFTER you get married. If you not have SSN assigned in the window I mentioned in my prior post, you'll have to wait until you have either the EAD or GreenCard in hand, only then can you apply again. For some ppl, that's a 6 month wait - so it's really messy to 'not exist'... IMO, the SSN for a K-1 visa holder is a 'freebie' - just go and get it, soonish.	Darnell	Male	China	2011-12-27 21:03:00

Is possible, but what drives 'getting an SSN' is solely a date range between 2 weeks + the POE DATE to I-94 expiration date - 2 weeks. Since it's free to apply, why not get one, todayish?
