Please remember that VJ is a 'DIY' immigration web portal, with an emphasis on 'Y' and 'D'. If'n you miss something basic, after reading instructions in a form, say like omitting 2 G-325As (one on you and one on her) then it might make sense to either: 1. read the guide here on the K-1 visa, understand the flowchart, here at VJ, when logged in from a PC (handphones absolutely SUCK for VJ knowledge gathering) or 2. get a lawyer, never visit VJ again... If you get confused, ask him for his passport name in PinYin or the Chinese Telegraphic Code Numbers taken from the Big Post Office in his city (can then translate those codes into PinYin) Good Luck ! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 cancellation after receiving NOA2	the payment for the visa application (the I-129F is a petition, different thing, but first thing) is made at a CITIC bank in China, in USD or RMB. Once paid, a CITIC clerk gives the visa applicant a receipt; the receipt and the forms listed in OF-169 are brought to the interview . For China, this is a 2 day process - --day 1 is document intake day --day 2 is interview itself so, if you never give over (to her) an I-134, she can't fulfill all of the document requirements for getting a visa. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 cancellation after receiving NOA2	GUZ IV has no fax # for intake. Instead, call into NVC, inquire how to cancel, and do exactly what they tell you. If they are stumped, you'll need to email GUZ IV and cancel the petition. re: her plan - is frought with errors regardless, as WHEN she comes into the USA, she has to: 1. get married to you 2. file for Adjustment of Status 3. receive greencard and 1-3 takes anywhere from 4 to 12 months. If she turns around same day, she loses all , as the K-1 is 'single use only' and she has no further basis to enter the USA. To 'come back' you'd wind up filing a I-130 petition, followed up by a visa application for a CR-1, with another interview in Guangzhou. I have some sense that you really don't want to do that. I say, after 3 weeks of the approval (you know this by calling in or by checking uscis online portal) call in, get a Human, then ask for an ISO and ask for 'returned mail pieces' then go over the RIGHT ADDRESS again with the ISO, and the ISO will see to it that the returned mail pieces are sent back to the RIGHT address. GUZ IV wants originals So, she could translate it herself without using the notary translation service there, but it's best to make a white book in China for GUZ IV. I was hoping not to dig into it, thinking yer lass just have one type, but she doesn't .. she's had 3 types of hukuo now. one for her family, one for school and now one from her job. that's 3 types , and 3 'versions' and 3 somethings. so, she needs a buddy in each town where she's had hukuo, to get stuff researched with the PSB. I say try first inside the district where she holds current hukuo and see what happens. It may be she can get the PCC and nothing else, there, and then have to get the birth certificate elsewhere. Also, I think she can get the single certificate where her hukuo is currently registered. The hukuo system is supposed to be the 'do all, be all, end all' for individual registration, but, alas, she won't know exactly till she first attempts getting the docs where her hukuo is currently registered. re: ds-230 form being current - that's the OMB date, not the expiration date. Choose the latest one, just to CYA. re: Fee payment - ya, it recently changed. payed at CITIC, a specific branch, in Guangzhou. They know about the change, so that's a plus. GUZ IV will ignore it, nothing to worry about there. NO WORRIES about it, at all. Study the forms and the medical stuff in the forms section, as well. I know you mentioned yer not able to use the phone much. For NVC intake/turn-around - they can/will email you the GUZ casefile #, if'n you inquire via email. as for the rest of it - here's a useful post - study post #1 and then the timeticks I listed in the middle.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K-2 Visa	ya, there's some problems to overcome. first, if there's a set of documents on the K-2, ie - DS-156/7 and DS-230, and the child doesn't show up for interview day you have to tell the Consular Officer to NOT put in the K-2 docs in the visa packet for the K-1. IF they put it in the K-1's visa packet - the child cannot come through a POE. Second - a K-2 (and a K-1) has about 6 months from visa issuance date to come into the USA. If yer delaying only 4 months, it makes a load of sense to go to the interview then the k-2 travel 4 months later. Third - if the K-2 wannabe doesn't come to the interview, then ya still gotta have an interview on the K-2 - it's really hard to get in the queue unless GUZ IV actually knows about the K-2 (from paperwork, from email, fees paid, etc) Then there's the medical exam - gotta have one of those also - usually gotten before the interview. Which method did you use, 2 or 3 ? Do This Today -> IMO, you really should chase down the expedite request with an ISO, a Tier 2 Human - NOT the first person that answers the phone. For an IR-1 or CR-1 visa, there is about 2 to 3 weeks of time gained, at NVC. and that's it.
