Not Ottawa, Montreal.
And yes, K1's are only dealt with at the Vancouver or Montreal locations. As far as I know the Embassy in Toronto doesn't handle any immigration stuff at all.

Guam is a territory, it counts as the U.S. If your fiancee goes there, they have "entered" the U.S. for the proposes of their "One entry into the U.S." from a K-1, PI is your last Outside address :)

She needs to meet the minimum poverty guidelines (100%) to file successfully for the Visa, and (125%) to file for the adjustment of status. This can be met by herself or with a co-sponsor. However I have to wonder how someone that can't meet the guidelines can meet the costs for the AoS. Some of these steps are not cheap. I wish you all the best of luck and happiness in your journey.

What I did was make a print of every photo we had together, I didn't stop at 10, I buried them in photographs. All labeled with time, date, names, locations, everything but what we had for breakfast that day. I put them in chronological order in a ziplock bag, clipped to a paper in the packet I sent in. I think the total was about 45 photos :)

Best of luck to ya. It seems a few people get unusual results and approved fast, but for most the wait is longer than you have. I would reccomend letting your people know of the problem now, and make... well not plans per say, but goals for the new year with it :s

Yes, I know the case goes first to the NVC. I wonder why they would ask on the I-129F which embassy/consulate she will apply at if they automatically forward it to the default embassy anyway.

I had a similar question.. I had put Yekaterinburg consulate as the designated location since that is where my fiancée got her J-1 visa last time. And that was how we met. However, Yekaterinburg doesn't process K-1s. Only Moscow does for Russian citizens. Well after I129F was approved, NVC sent petition straight to Moscow.

I would assume they would send your petition to the proper location irrespective of what you wrote.

Hi everyone!
Our lawyer just sent us a form from the Vermont Service Centre advising that our petition was reveived on Feb. 6, 2013 (yay!) However, I noticed my name is missing my middle name and it contained my 2nd last name! (I had soecified to our lawyer twice before to remove my second last name as I have no document supporting the second last name). I am SO worried! This is already such a long process I do NOT want to add to the processing time :(. I e-mailed our laywer, but he takes a long time to respond does anyone have any experience with this?
Note: I am not the petitioner, my fiance is.

sorta, but it's focused on prior K-1 filings and a duration.

For example, if this is your 3rd I-129F filing within 2 years with a different person, you'd have to have written a letter, submitted with the I-129F, asking for a waiver from IMBRA Regulation.

But, there is no hardfast count when examining the totality of the casefile - here's an example..

Fiance is Thai woman, divorced from a man in Thailand
USCitizen has been divorced twice, exes are USCitizens.
So that's 3 marriages without immigration involvement.
The IV unit won't care so much about those, as there wasn't any immigration involvement.

i think it suits your situation, albeit you have a weird situation.

No worries for her LEAVING the USA after marriage when coming into the USA on a K-1 visa.

Will she be living in Rome with you, after the marriage? If so, consider (instead of the K-3) to apply about 3 months before your leave date,
for a Direct-Consular-Filed (DCF'd) CR-1 Visa, filing the I-130 into Naples, Italy (instead of USCIS in the USA).
Turn around time is about 3 months, and this only works if SHE is living with you, in Italy.

The receipt notice is not needed for anything.
The NOA-2 IS NEEDED for later Adjustment of Status, and does contain the receipt #.

Don't fret - get into a secondary inspection office / deferred inspection office with CBP, get it sorted there.

But the USA POE will sort it out.
I suggest you tell him to make certain that the K-1 visa is endorsed by the stamp at the POE and an I-94 done.
Traveling to USA vs Entering the USA can be viewed as two seperate things, so that's a plus, at a USA POE.

On Interview Day, the same affadavit of support form, the I-134, is utilised, so (IMO) it's the same problem.
