USCIS Service Centerstrying to understand the CSC
maybe CSC is in a competition with VSC and thinking:"if they can approve sept/oct filers now, then we'll approve nov/dec filers"
as for a response to those people that are waiting from july/august, CSCs response starts to look more and more to something like this: "we are approving I129fs, but we approve filers with NOA1 that we want, not what you want" :protest:

USCIS Service CentersI CSC moving AGAIN?
I think most of those approved sept filers have involved their representative. And who can blame them? the waiting is not easy.
but the nov/dec filers that were approved recently, most of them said that they didn't take any action prior to their approvals.
So what can we do, us who have been waiting for more than 6 months, when CSC is approving whatever filles they want? i feel so depressed :(

USCIS Service CentersI CSC moving AGAIN?

Don't say that :o im early august and still waiting along with many others, and i'm still open outhed at so many september october november filers getting noa2 already!

ack!! but hopefully it means csc is starting their engines again, and possible good news will be here before the end of the summer :P

Many september/october filers getting approved? where?? those many approvals are from nov/dec...

Or maybe by mistake they transfered the July-September to TSC with DACA....

That is just a speculation of yours...there has been no report on uscis.gov, neither here on VJ, that july-sept filers have been transferred to TSC. Please stop saying that, many people that don't know the situation, will actually believe you!

USCIS Service CentersUSCIS processing times website

That´s exactly what I asked myself, too. (I´m a January filer).

After they´ve decreased their average processing time by approving those December filers, I think they will most likely return to working on the old 2012 cases before continuing on to January.

But who really knows? It´s extremely unpredictable. I am tired of guessing and making assumptions that only turn out to be wrong.
I am simply glad they´re back to working on K1s again.

I am glad, it's good to see some action than no action at all.
The logical thinking would be that they will work on January and July-Oct filers simultaneously. But with all the surprises CSC gave us in the last months, I wouldn't be surprised if they ignored completely July-Oct filers. Who knows?!

The service request worked!

On April 10, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

FINALLY!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! I was just dropping off to sleep and David called I'm SO surprised at no RFE I could SCREAM but I won't because its 1am

this is from Septembers filers thread, the person put a service request on 4th of April and on the 10th got his approval..he was at VSC though :(
he was close to 7 months of waiting and because the processing times state 5 months his service request was accepted.

My question is, after they finish these Nov-Dec files to adjudicate, will they move to adjudicate January filers or will they go backwards? I'm soooo curious now:P
And another question...when they'll update their charts and processing times for April, if they include the Nov-Dec approvals, how are the processing times going to look like? 1st of December? If it's gonna be around that date, a lot of people could put in a service request then.

USCIS Service CentersI-129F Delay at the CSC: A Comprehensive Analysis of the Data

USCIS Service CentersI-129F Delay at the CSC: A Comprehensive Analysis of the Data
I'm wondering if they transferred all DACA applications or just a part of them. Their website says "On March 8, 2013, USCIS transferred some casework from the California Service Center to the Texas Service Center to balance overall workload with processing capacity at the centers. The affected casework includes the following forms:

I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals
I-765, Application for Employment Authorization (when filed concurrently with the I-821D)
I-765 Worksheet (PDF) (when filed concurrently with the I-821D)"
I'm hoping all of them and I just hate when they are not saying things exactly how they are. Or maybe I don't understand cause English is my second language? :bonk:
In the end, all this analyzing about these delays won't matter much until the CSC director says: "guys, lets get back on those hunny bunny petitions" :clock:

USCIS Service CentersI-129F Delay at the CSC: A Comprehensive Analysis of the Data

Nice work!

I'm not very adept at statistical analysis, so I avoided doing any of that. And yeah, it's nice that it confirms that other application types are not being affected like the I-129F. It makes you wonder if there was a particular conscious reason behind the decision, or if it just because they have always had the lowest priority.

My opinion is this...when they were approving I-129f's in 3 months or less in july/august/sept, they knew about the DACA applications and that they would get a lot of them..now, i'm guessing, they didnt knew how much CSC would receive and that it would create such a big backlog. I'm still hoping that by moving DACA files to TSC is gonna get the I-129f application back on track, but from what i've seen in the last 2 weeks, my hopes are getting smaller and smaller.

That's pretty good news! Let us know if it keeps up, and I hope yours comes soon!

Ok, after seeing your post, I started looking at those July 17th filers and I found this:
- on 15 April: 5 approvals and 11 RFE's
- on 12 April: 2 approvals and 2 RFE's
- 20 receipts # still waiting to be adjudicated

Could this be that they are starting to work on the July filers? I hope so....

Guys, why don't you wait a few days/weeks to see how many approvals there will be at VSC?
Maybe(and I hope so) in the next days you will see again a lot of approvals.

USCIS Service CentersCSC Finally moving

Yes I added them to my portfolio. I just don't care, it's available, so I did it.

No different than the copy n paste method, your IP would be logged the same as you would use to access the 'Sign-in to My Account' button which would then link it back to you. Unless you go through the trouble of masking it.

There's no disclaimer saying you can't or even shouldn't do it. I'm only monitoring my 'group' so there's no abuse intended & no criminal intent.

EegyptA: https://egov.uscis.g...is/Dashboard.do
Just increase and decrease the number until you see a different date or different type of petition.

True, but I've got around 70 receipt numbers in my group, so I think that wouldn't look that good if I added all of them to my portofolio... :D

USCIS Service CentersCSC Finally moving

I am curious ... did you add those WAC numbers to your portfolio? Even though they're not actually your own petition? I've been hesitant to try that since that seems a bit ... weird. Mostly I've just been checking the WAC numbers manually and keeping my own notes/record of a few K-1's near me. But your paste there looks a lot like the portfolio layout .... so is it okay to add WAC numbers that are not your own? And is there a limit on how many you can add?

I do it the same way as you, copy-pasted the receipts # in a word doc and check it every day :P Don't know if it's ok to have on your portofolio receipt # that are not yours

wish the VSC would follow suit!! There seems to be a lot less VSC approvals going on and TONS of approvals from CSC.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for the VSC filers so that they don't stop processing I-129f's. Those approvals from CSC were long overdue :clock:

USCIS Service Centers15 approved petition everyday?

It's been over 20 a day recently for I-129F petitions, which is unusually/absurdly fast. VJ members only represent about 5-10% of all applicants per visa class, remember. Just a few weeks ago, we had 0 approvals per day for many many days (less approvals per month January-March than per day for the last week). At this rate, I've calculated that December should be roughly finished up in about 2.6 weeks, which means CSC will be operating within their 5 month timeframe again. If the current rate continues, of course.

Once the backlog is clear, CSC approvals will most likely drop again to a steady rate to keep in line with the 5 month goal.

USCIS Service Centerscalling USCIS due to very long wait

My petition was received on October 22nd and I have been very patiently waiting. I decided to try to call today to get more information. The woman was not very happy that I am calling to ask about how much longer it was going to take. She told me they are working on cases from July and I need to follow the times listed in their website. She said for me not to call back for "at least 2 to 3 months".

I have heard of people filing after July and getting their NOA2 already even some October filers got their NOA2 already. Why is that? Do some people get bumped up for any particular reason like calling their state senator as I heard suggested before?

I would not do that personally unless I had an issue with getting approved after the interview process.

anyway, just wanted to hear the experiences from others, by the way my case is at the California Service Center.

thanks,
wade

Have a little more patience..only this week they started approving july-august-sept filers. it's only a matter of time until they get to oct filers.

USCIS Service Centerswhat is going on with CSC
Update: I spoke with a staff member from a congressman I met while speaking in Alabama. She has taken an interest in our case and called CIS to get an update on our case. I am so "pleased" to announce that in 6 months (yesterday was six months) our case has gone exactly NOWHERE! We haven't even been assigned to a caseworker. So much for a summer wedding. I mentioned that some Nov/Dec filers were approved and that surprised her. She is going to find out who I need to contact in Hawaii for help...

We all need to stick together and support each other. This is the most painful process that I have ever been involved with.

USCIS Service CentersNew info regarding CSC

Hello all. I thought I would share an excerpt of an email I received yesterday from a staff member of one of my US Senators. I hope this sheds some light on whats going on and I also hope it gives hope to those of us caught up in the backlog of cases pending.

"Able to speak with CSC today about a different type of case and discussed the frustrations again about I-129F delays. CSC reported they have more field officers trained in adjudicating I-129F petitions and will be moving on the backlog.
Sounds like your petition since it was received and assigned September 4, 2012 priority date will be among the petitions that will be worked on immediately. Would you like for me to follow up on status in a couple of weeks or on Friday 4/19?
Let me know your preference.
Thank you for the visa forum discussion page. Also alerted CSC of the visa forum and White House notice of I-129F delays. They were interested and alert to move on the petitions."

Of course we'll see what happens. Seems that CSC is beginning to feel the pressure and there does seem to be movement lately based on some of the recent NOA-2's being issued. Let's all hang in there!! :-)

Fantastic! I am starting to contact my State and Federal Senators and Congresswoman so keep the pressure on folks! Thanks!

USCIS Service CentersVermont Service Center - What's going on!

Yes,

I have a appointment with my Congressman, I get "5 mins" of his time in May.  I expect lip service, but at least I am doing something to rattle some cages.  I also feel it's productive to share thoughts on here and figure out if anyone finds anything even close to legroom in moving the process forward.  I am tired of the "call your congressman, call your senator"  I have done this, anymore ideas while VSC keeps digging a deeper hole and CSC moves back to 3-4 month approvals?

I think it helps to allow the VSC people to vent on here just as the CSC people did for months...

You might be surprised...I met and spoke with a Congressman from a different state and within five hours I was talking to his immigration specialist. She in turn made an inquiry and connected me with someone at my Congresswoman's office who filed an inquiry within a day. They do respond.

hello biggrin.gif

Do you have all the documents prepared like the proof of genuine relationship? You have to show and prove that to the CO,also considering all the questions posted above by other poster for you to contemplate about to get ready for any possible questions pertaining to your worries....

To give you a lil confident,i am a K1, My fiance visited me once that was last year for only 6 days. But the CO didnt asked for why once and only a short time visit. Both the prescreener and the CO asked how many days we spent together and when is the visit, how long we have known each other. Its a case to case. Although we dont have a big age difference.

Ive seen some K1 with big age difference that passed the interview. Just make all your documents ready and yourself as well. You dont need your fiance to push and come here in the Phil, you can do it yourself with flying colors. Bring home the pink slip.

Goodluck!

Uhhhh, it is 950 km or about a 9 hour drive for us from our city in Denmark to Stockholm and will cost a lot in fuel and bridge tolls about. We don't have a car, so we'd actually have to use the train, which is an at least 10 hour trip and not cheap.

The distance between Kingston and Santo Domingo is 722 km.
Yeah, I'm from Sweden so I am well aware of the tolls, distances. There are no direct flights from Jamaica to the Dominican Republic at all so he'd have to go via Miami and of course, driving is not even an option for him
Anyways, good luck to you on your journey!

USCIS does not issue VISAS. It does affect the direct consulate filing. If the only thing closing is the USCIS field office, it should not affect the issuance of K-1 visas.

I'm no immigration expect and such,i just visited the USCIS website and from my understanding it's not the embassy/consulate that is closing. It is the USCIS field office is closing off at the Kingston Embassy.

oh by the way it is the USCIS filed office that you file immigration petition with and not the actual embassy where you have your interview.

Right, so if they close the field office then I'm looking at going to Dominican Republic......

I just read that USCIS is closing the Kingston field office on March 1 and its stating that the embassy in Santo Domingo will assume all duties. Does this mean we will have to fly to the Dominican Republic for his interview??? I'd appreciate any kind of insight into this because I'm just in disbelief...Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse.....Any Jamaica VJ members that gets an interview scheduled after March 1 - please share!

I think it just means they are getting rid of DCF and the field office in Jamaica.

I think they'd be clear if the IV unit at Kingston was closing though. We don't have an IV unit in Denmark or Norway any more and the cases are processed in Sweden. *shrugs* It wouldn't be the end of the world.

Maybe not if you live as close as you do but for someone in Jamaica, it is a very big deal to have to travel to the Dominican Republic.....
