I don't have the details yet, but passed the interview. Oath was a few hours after the exam. Seems like it depends on local office. Some do it the same day and others do it at a later day.

It's my turn now to write my succesful interview experienced.

My appointment time is 1:30PM and we got there by 1:20PM. I was with my husband and my2 kids, I asked the guard if they can accompany me inside but the guard said that only the applicant is allowed, they can wait by the waiting room area but since they will have oath ceremony @ 2PM for the applicant from the neighbor island they have to leave too, so my husband decided to just stay outside and bring our kids to the nearest shopping area.

As i showed my appointment letter the guard instructed me to wait in the line and wait for my turn to be called. After few seconds i was called by the lady infornt asking for my appointment letter and she gave me number and asked me to go inside the waiting room. There were 6 people waiting already and @ 2PM my number was called. The lady officer greeted me politely and asked me to raise my hand.

She go over my application, She asked for my passport and green card but she didn't look at my passport. Also i brought my recent 2008 Tax transript since when i filed my application back then in February our tax wasn't finished yet, and a lot of supporting documents like bills, bank certificate, vehicle registration that i didn't included when i submitted my application, just in case the immigration officer asked for it but not even one she asked for any documents, oh well... better prepared than to be sorry. Then she asked if i wanted to change my name and i said NO then asked me to sign the paper exactly the way my name without abbreviation as well as to sign my picture, Then she start asking how did i get my greencard, if i have kids and asked the YES and NO portion of the application. Then she asked me to read "HOW MANY SENATORS DO WE HAVE" and have to write "WE HAVE 100 SENATORS". Then asked the following civic questions exactly what's in the reviewer.

1. There are four amendments to the Constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them?
2. During the Cold War, what was the main concern of the United States?
3. What is one reason colonists came to America?
4. What is one right or freedom from the First Amendment?
5. Who is in charge of the executive branch?
6. If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President?

She wrote down my answer in the paper next to every question. Then she said CONGRATULATIONS you pass your interview. I asked when can i have my oath ceremony since we are planning to have a trip on September but she said they will mail the date and time within 2 - 3 weeks i should be getting my schedule. Oh well, have to wait again...... By 2:20PM I was done. Over all it went smooth. I thank this site for all the help, it keeps me prepared.

Goodluck to the next in line.......

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionSSI,Affadavit of Suppport, not working
Helllo,I have a unique situation. Found out on Captain Ewok's affadavit of support tips, that if petitioner receives gov. benefits and not working the visa may be denied. I have a solid co-sponsor, and household has way enough income for support. Ihave been certified with a permanent disability since 1997, by my neurologist, state and SSI independent doctors.I receive 14,500 a year and have medicare.I have retained a lawyer, and he tells me these are isolated cases. Will the CO.take into consideration my yearly SSI statements, affadavit from household members who are not co-sponsors,or doctor letters? Should I get a clearence from doctor to at least work part-time if possible? Or maybe self-employment? Anyone know of similar situations or can help with advice? Sent petition on 07/20/07, received NOA1 hardcopy on 08/16/07. VERY WORRIED. :help

I'm starting to fill out the I-134 to get ahead..
My fiancee will most likely getting her interview in Tokyo, Japan.
I was wondering if i'll be fine without a statement from my employer.
I work for the federal govt so we get forms stating our salary, if we are permanent, etc..
Would these forms plus other evidence be sufficient? I'm way above the poverty line so i'm not worried about my income.
i just don't wanna trouble people at work to get a statement if i don't really need one.

Thanks all.

Employer letters are optional, sounds like you have it covered

Searched all over the forums and had no luck.
This is a confusing question.
My fiancee is divorced, I have all the documents that prove so.

How do I answer the question, "How and when was marriage terminated"?
Obviously, I know the "when", but don't know how to answer the "how" part.

Any experience with this one?

USCIS Service CentersReal numbers of Deferred Action

The latest DACA numbers through Feb. 14th.

http://www.uscis.gov...DACA2-15-13.pdf

I was hoping the cases coming in would slow down more, but they are still getting 30,000 new cases each month.

Thank you for sharing this..At this rate, we might get approved around 9 or 10 months... I'm really curious how many DACA petitions are sent to VSC and how many at CSC.

USCIS Service CentersAfter 3 weeks... Is CSC slowing down again?

It has dropped to 0% if you do not count RFE you should be clear about that.  You won't like the response you get.  This is what they told me today...

We have responded to your request back on April 15, 2013.  The CSC is working on I-129F petitions.  Where are you getting your information that no petitions are being worked at this time?  There is no way for you to know if any cases are being adjudicated on a daily basis yet you continue to send emails to this mailbox.

Looks like the person who responded to your email got annoyed. the data here on Vj, is just about 5-10% of what really is out there at CSC.. Next weeks will tell you for sure if they stoped working on I-129f's or are still adjudicating them but at a slower rate than 3 weeks ago. :)

Keeping my fingers crossed for you all :)

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusRussian transit visa
i've found something on wiki...
"Direct airside transit

Passengers travelling through international airports do not need a visa for a transit of less than 24 hours, provided a confirmed onward ticket is held and the traveller remains in the international transit area (without clearing passport control).

That said, most Russian airports do not have an international transit area. The most important exceptions are:

Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) which has an international transit area common for terminals D, E and F;
Moscow's Domodedovo International Airport (DME) which has an international transit area in its only terminal;
Yekaterinburg's Koltsovo International Airport (SVX) which has an international transit area in its international terminal."

here is the link http://en.wikipedia....olicy_of_Russia

also, i dont know what websites have you checked for booking the flight, but you might wanna check orbitz.com and cheapoair.com...they're really good on prices, and also check for a round trip..sometimes it's cheaper like that than if you book only one way:)
good luck!

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)Police record from Denmark

You'll have to send a letter via snail mail along with a copy of your ID to the address in bold(below). The letter has to be a brief statement from you asking to have your police record sent to your address. You have to ask to get the English version of it. They claim it takes 1-2 days. The police record itself is free of charge however you have to pay to have it sent to your adress. So enclose a return envelope with stamps on it as well.

If you have specific questions about it, you can email them at adm-kriminalregister@politi.dk - they don't send the police record electronically though. The Danish police record is usually valid for 12 months.

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)Police record from Denmark

Did you have a CPR number when you were working in Denmark last year?
Police record from Denmark is issued at any police station and it takes about 5-10 minutes.
I am not sure if you can get it online.

Yes, I did have a CPR number. The problem is that i can't go to Denmark to make a request in person. I have the address where to send them a letter, but if you say it takes them 5-10 mins, then maybe it will take around a week to send it to me. I can't get it online, i already checked.
One more question, you might know; is it available 1 or 6 months?
Thanks a lot, anyway :)

Hi,

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)Medical Exam

Yeah, probably new year, new schedule..who knows?! :)

As far as the blood test goes, she told me, back then, in june 2013, that i can eat anything I want and drink coffee if I want, because they only do the blood test to see if you have any transmissible deseases, like syphilis,hepatitis..stuff like that. My pressure was a little low, cause I woke up that day at 5 am and didn't had my coffee and breakfast, but everything was ok. don't worry, they only take a very very small amount of blood

Good luck!

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)Medical Exam

As long as the interview is within 4 months from noa2, you have nothing to worry. It took me a month to send the instructions back to the embassy, and I had no problem in scheduling the date for the interview.

As far as Regina Maria goes, I called 2 weeks before my medical. I had no problem scheduling the date I wanted with Dr. Toma. Try calling back on Monday and see if she has the date that you want available. I know from someone who did the medical the same day as the embassy interview and got the results at 12 pm and the interview was at 1 pm. But that is only possible on a Tuesday, because dr. toma on Tuesdays is at the Baneasa clinic. The rest of the days she is at the other location, at the Opera Center Building, and the results here are usually released at 3 pm. I'm not sure if things are still the same, but do ask when you call her again.

Aloha! :)
