US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Consulate requirements for K1 interview in Romania	I just had my interview yesterday and it all went smoothly. The consular officer didnt take more than I'd say about a minute before dropping the good news on me "Congratulations, you just got the visa, have a happy life" wooooot. He just asked me where my fiance works, for how long we've known each other and then he made me swear that everything I say and that all the documents I have reflect the truth to the best of my knowledge and that was that.   Oh, they did give me my birth certificate back and all the proof of relationship (email conversations, photos, plane tickets etc), and my X-ray but they didnt give me back my police record.   So, I have a question : will I need to get another police record to have it with me when I enter the USA? ( I only made one copy of the previous police record and I gave it to them as well along with the original)   Also, what else do I need to have with me when I enter the USA? Because I dont have any other documents left, except the documents with the proof of relationship, birth certificate, X-ray and vaccination records?! Are they going to ask for something else? I was reading somewhere else something about a sealed envelope that I have to handle to the Immigration officers when I enter the USa? What sealed envelope, I dont have any?   Also, how long does it usually take before I can go pick up my passport with visa from TNT? The consular officer told me at the end of the interview that I can go pick it up in about 4 days (4 days would be Friday). Could it possibly take any longer than that? The reason I'm asking is because I'm not from Bucharest and am kinda pressed to return home as soon as possible because of some business   Thanks Congratulations on your visa approval As far as I know, you won't need your police record here. They kept the police record and it will go on the sealed envelope that you have to give at the first airport in the USA. So, USCIS will have it from there on.   In order for you to enter the USA you'll need the visa in the passport and the sealed envelope. The envelope you'll receive it when you go pick up your passport with the visa. The envelope will have one corner cut, so no need to worry about that.    Usually, it takes 2 business days to get your passport from TNT from the time of your interview. That's how it was for me. If the CO told you 4 days, then they must have changed it...but you can call your TNT local office to see if they have it earlier. Yes, I know the shipment..i've been watching it ever since I saw it here the first time, but the problem is, when i go to the dhl and see the shipment, i don't see the weight anywhere. Do i need to have a dhl account to see that? It is also good that the doctor at SLEC must know your condition to give you an advice too.. I will be praying that everthing will goes well with your medication. Paano po nakarating ang anak nyo sa America? 2. Ilang taon po siya nung nakarating siya sa america? 3. Sinu po ang petitioner nyo? 4. Anu pong pangalan nyo? 5. Paano siya naging american citizen? 6. Naging citizen po ba sya dahil pagpunta nya doon nag-asawa sya? 7. May litrato po ba kayo nung anak nyo simula pagkabata? 8. Kayo po ba ay nakarating na sa america? 9. Ilang beses na po I can recall those questions that i even less worry about myself,in fact i enjoyed that evesdropping....On the other window was the same they were asked in Tagalog.So when it was my turn to go inside the consuls room,i was shocked and greeted with Magandang Umaga and the consul often speak tagalog since i speak english,he prefer me to answer in english,i do answer in tagalog and it was okey with him..... So basically, for me its not really the language that matters but maybe there are other grounds that lead to a denial. During my interview i was asked by my american consul in tagalog even the pre screener so its less to worry. So if you still falls within the time frame of validity then you can have the vaccine here but if not,you have no choice and do it abroad. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Fiance went for Exam and Did Not pass Sputum Test	i have a friend who went a sputum test and waited for two months for the result of the culture. If the result turn positive then she have to wait for six months because of the treatment.... But lets pray it turns out negative after two months. If you have scheduled interview,her interview will be rescheduled by the St. Lukes.. Nothing to worry about,its nothing serious. Its common that i see people who undergo sputum if they ( st.Lukes) happen to see abnormalities in the xray.. oh by the way my friend is non smoker,she has no past history of tuberculoses. When i asked how possible it happened,its maybe because she has no sleep yet and she is working on a graveyard shift.... I wish I would of thought of that a long time ago, ha!  Well, I'll start taking screenshots of our facetime history from now until the interview.  How much of a problem do you think it'll be to not have a solid phone record history that starts from when we started talking?  I will have printouts of texts from whatsapp/viber/imessage that covers our entire relationship. That was not a big deal, as long as you have some proof to show that you talk everyday then it will be fine. As long as they can see that the relationship is ongoing and bonafide your good. Prepare more pictures of you together and put caption on it. Date and place. As of me i made a scrapbook with our pictures together and put caption date and place on everything. And i separate print out of our phone calls, messages, emails, plane tickets, luggage tag etc. after the CO looked at my fancy scapbook (hehe) she didnt ask any proof no more, she didnt ask about the emails and other stuff. I'm getting worried about the phone record part as showing proof of on-going relationship.  The majority of our conversations happen using facetime on our iphones, which uses wi-fi and subsequently my bill detail does not track.  The bill detail does show data transfer amount but no phone number associated with it.  Anyone else run into this problem?  Any suggestions on how to provide proof?  We used apps in iphone to make calls too. Back to my interview, I was told by the consule that my visa is approve and then wait my name to be called for the last step. On my last step the filipino guy there told me they will do an internal checkings first and this will be done at Washington and they will email me as soon they see some problems. AS of now no email received from them.  I called them last week and told me that my passport still in the office and still under process. I just want to ask if this is normal? does anyone experience this? and what the best thing that me and my fiance cAN DO... Keep checking the status as it will change to "issued" once the visa is printed. It is nothing to worry about, I guess they just randomly put some cases in AP - who knows why.....
