Fiance is trying to get all the papers finalized cuz he leaves for Manila on Saturday and needs to make sure he has everything since Iligan City is too far to go back and forth. Philippines	Getting Organized for CFO and Interview	Was almost going to say something.....    For the embassy you do not need the NOA1 or NOA2, they won't want a copy of the NVC letter either.  Nor will the embassy want to see a copy of the I-129F they have the original.   Whew! Got that change in before I got scoldings! Thanks for the other corrections...Joan wants me to bring the NOAs and NVC so they go in the packet! We will use the photos that were in the copy of the I-129F if needed...otherwise I think we are set...I am more concerned about the CFO than the interview at this point, but both are still looming large... Philippines	Getting Organized for CFO and Interview	Hi,   I know that we each have our own way of organizing the materials for the interview and CFO (in the Philippines), but this is how Joan and I organized ours. Hopefully it will make it easy to find the papers when asked for them. There are five 9X12 envelopes with originals and two photocopies of the contents separated by paper clips?easy to hand over each set of documents or photocopies on demand. Here is what we have:   Envelope 1 (CFO?Philippine specific)   Registration form?two copies Copy of my passport (bio page) Copy of my birth certificate Collage of photos from my three visits?three copies (3, not photocopied 2 more times) Notarized Parental Advice Copy of Joan?s parent?s letter to me accepting my request for her hand in marriage (in Tagalog and translated by Joan into English) 1x1 and 2x2 passport style photos Joan?s Passport and copies of her bio page Joan?s Cenomar and copies Joan?s Postal ID and copies My 1040 (ITR) cover sheet with SS# X?ed out (proof that I am singe) Joan?s NBI in case they ask for it.   Envelope 2 (Embassy forms)   BPI Visa Receipt Appointment Confirmation from website NVC letter NOA1 NOA2 DS-156?2 copies DS-156K?2 copies DS-157?2 copies DS-160 Part 1 (and 2 but part 2 is not needed?the whole form printed)?2 copies (only 1 needed) Joan?s Birth Certificate Joan?s NBI Joan?s Cenomar Notarized Parental Advice Joan?s Police Clearance (not required because Joan has not lived outside of the Philippines, but she wanted to get it) 3 2x2 photos (no photocopies)   Envelope 3 (Copy of original I-129F packet including original receipts)   Only one copy of this packet   Envelope 4 (Embassy financial packet)   I-1134 2012 W-2 2012 ITR (1040) Last 4 pay stubs Letter from bank (statement of deposits) Proof of employment   Envelope 5 (Embassy proof  of on-going relationship?maybe we will bring one copy to the CFO!)   Collage of photos my last trip to the Philippines (photos from my first two trips and our engagement are in the I-129F envelope) Xoom money transfer receipts Evidence of over 15,000 emails Letter to a Congressman from a different state Letter from that Congressman to USCIS (never sent because the NOA2 came first) Letter to my Hawaii Congresswoman asking for an inquiry (just as the NOA2 came) New Fiancé Letter of Intent New Fiancée Letter of Intent Letter from our Hawaii State Senator to USCIS Sample emails spanning from NOA1 to now   I think we are READY!!!!!!!! Philippines	Going to the interview	My interview experience:   Arriving at the embassy at 5:15 AM there were already lines forming by the bridge, trick was to find the correct line for the K-1s,found the line thanks to Amy - now the waiting starts.  About 6 AM they moved our line closer to the embassy entrance and the processing started, soon we were walking through the doors into the embassy.  By 7:15 AM our number was called for Amy to go to window 40 to get her biometrics, then back to our seats for more waiting.  At a little after 8:00 AM our number was called once more to go to window 47, here a Filipino did the first initial interview and took all the forms from Amy, he asked me almost as many questions as he asked Amy, the conversation was very light hearted and friendly and I have to say it was a very good experience.  After that back to our seats for more waiting and watching the Cartoon Network ...  Tom & Jerry!  - of course Amy and I had some laughs.  Finally our number was flashing on the board once more, it was almost 9:30, and we were off to window 62 for the interview with the Consulate Officer, this was the biggy!!  This is where we get approved .... or not.  Again I was asked as many questions as Amy was asked, at one point Amy hesitated with her answer and the CO immediately asked the question in Tagalog without blinking an eye.  After all the questions we were told to have a seat and wait to be called to window 72 for additional requested documents, then he added... and there are no more documents requested, yet he did not actually say approved, just smiled.  So back to our seats with smiles on our faces. (The CO called Amy back to his window within minutes of us sitting down as he had forgot to get Amy's oath to marry within 90 days... LOL!)  A little after 10:00 AM  we were called to window 72, there the lady started by saying "let me see what other documents are requested", then said " oh I see no other documents are needed, you are approved."  Then we discussed which 2GO branch we wanted to pickup the visa.  10:30 AM and we were out the door... Flat-out denied? or were they asked to submit additional documents?   If I were you, I would concentrate on my own case and do the preparation for bonafide relationship ahead of time so I wouldn't cram before the actual interview day.   Each case is different.  The consul will assess your case based on the evidences that you submitted and the circumstances of your relationship.   Stop listening to the "rumors", IMO. Philippines	Successful CFO in Manila!	Joan had her CFO seminar this morning and had no problem! She met a lady from a Facebook group that we all belong to and they both passed with no issues! Note though that they were both K-1. Joan got there at about 4:45 in the morning and Eky was already there. Joan was already number 7 in line that early! There were 16 people in the class and 10 were held for 1-1 sessions. Joan thinks that all 10 who were held were going for a spouse visa and the issues were mostly about paperwork like divorce decrees. Joan was asked for only her two IDs. Passport and postal worked. She was NOT asked for her cenomar nor her parental advice (after all that drama a month ago to get it)! They only asked Joan to see my birth certificate and only kept copies of her ID. They did not even ask for photos! BUT Joan said that it seemed to be a case by case basis for what applicants were asked for. All in all Joan seems to have had an easier time that I did sweating it out in the hotel with intermittent wifi to check Facebook updates! I may have been mistaken...Joan had her nbi too...but passport and postal should count as government issued ids...again though the more you can bring the better!
