So he sent in the court order Approving name change with form I130 just in case They asked for it. Since they ask for previous Names used I would say yes to writing down your Old name. I will be sure to tell my hubby to read alla about it. he just told me that the doctor wrote down the letter he just has to pick it up tomorrow morning and he received the email from CSC to submit the evidence for expedite request, i will tell him to submit VA p&t letter plus ssdi letter for more evidence. thank you all for the great info and help. now i have to cross my fingers and hope for the best.	catracha85	Female	Honduras	2010-12-29 16:12:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	AOS for interview that will be near change of year	We are anticipating an interview for an IR visa near the end of this year or perhaps in Jan 2013 (DCF). I've been getting the AOS ready and the form for my mother in law who will be a contributing member of household because on my own I don't make enough. According to these docs, the last year of tax returns etc is 2011 and we are putting in data for 2012. If our interview is in Jan, will we have to start over?? (As in, they will want 2013 data and tax info starting in 2012?) We would not even have W-2's by then? National Visa Center (Dept of State)	Emailing NVC	Just wondering if NVC really replies to emails that you send them, beyond just the automated response that I get because they received my email. I'm waiting to see if they have received our approved petition from USCIS so we can get the case number to schedule our interview. I tried calling them but I'm on hold for way too long, and I have to call them from overseas which is way too expensive to spend 10+ minutes on hold. I've been emailing them at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. Is this the correct email address? Has anyone gotten a response confirming that they received the petition and/or given their case number through email? Press 1 for case status, then press the number that you cannot find your receipt number, then it will prompt you where to find it but press again that you still can't (you know it, I'm sure, but just say that you don't) and then you will be transferred to a live person. When my fiancé goes to his interview, I'm going to suggest to him to wear nice slacks, polo or button up shirt, nice shoes, shave, etc. Since I'll be attending it with him, I'll also wear nice slacks (I'm not really a dress/skirt kind of girl), nice shirt, my best shoes, tasteful jewelry, etc. Personally I don't like the idea of wearing jeans, but to each their own. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January approvals are happening now!!!!	Yes. The projected month of approval is the absolute worst of all! Each day you're just waiting and hoping that you'll receive notification. And in the back of your mind, you think about the few unfortunate petitions that seem to be delayed or forgotten each month....It does not get easier until that NOA2 arrives. I'll probably start working my Congressman as soon as I get beyond the projection on the VJ timeline. That way everything is ready if I need to use him. And based on some evidence here, even if you're not beyond processing time, a Congressional inquiry forces a pull of the file..so there's always the potential that it could be useful. Seriously though, I think keeping yourself busy is super important. Maintain your normal work schedule and do the normal day-to-day things. Although my fiance and I live with each other, I still feel crazy about the time that it is taking to get the petition approved because I want to go back to the US really bad! So I understand your pain, the time feels long but in reality, it goes by really fast when you are living your day-to-day life. We try to keep things are normal as possible and we stop talking about the visa all of the time because it can become a problem in the relationship... just know that it will come one day, that every day that passes is one closer to when you will be together, and prepare yourself for the next step when you have the time to do so.	kate&javi	Female	Honduras	2012-05-26 10:12:00

I don't know how people who filed at the beginning of the month get approved at the end of the month, without expedite. We would assume that they get put into boxes by order but I guess we will never know the ins and outs of the process.
