K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsJanuary I-129F filers
Sitting here impatiently -- and it doesn't help that my days at work are dragging on... The end of the school year has me doing 1000s of pages of paperwork, nothing too exciting. An approval would help liven up the next couple of weeks. :P

I hear you! it drives me a bit nuts when people ask me if I heard anything. I know they mean well but hey if I heard anything at all, the whole world will know so no need to ask :P Every question about the process reminds me of the wait and is not making me feel any better...

As for the fights I know exactly what you mean...

Ha! Yes! I only talk to my Mom on Skype like once a week, and she asks me if they have sent me an email, if they have called me, if they have updated me about our case. She doesn't know almost ANYTHING about the process -- even after I have explained it to her a billion times, she can't seem to catch on that it takes time, that I can't make them process mine NOW. Since I live overseas, at the end of every conversation, she says, "I want you home!" She really tries to guilt trip me with that!

I agree with you all about the stress. It was starting to really wear on me after awhile, and the stress was too much. My fiance and I were constantly checking USCIS, VJ, etc. and it was starting to drive us crazy! We started to fight more often and finally he told me that we should just stop looking at it, that it will come when it comes. But now that I know it is going to be in the next few weeks or a month or so, I start thinking about it more and more! I never, ever check the USCIS website - ONLY VJ - to eliminate the amount of stress that I would feel otherwise. I think once I see people from January 15/16 from CSC getting approved, I'll start checking USCIS but I know that obsessing over it won't make the people work faster... so I just needed to take a deep breath and keep living my daily life. We found a new apartment, we did things for the wedding, I'm crafting some things for our house in the US, etc. My mom asks about it constantly and I always say, "I know nothing" but I think she thinks that I will the next day that I talk to her.

Ahhh! Was a bad week here too. Trying not to think about the visa. The first months were SO easy, but this month sucks. It gets so much harder as it gets closer. I'm hoping ours is approved by the end of May. I HAVE to go back to the US in September, I hope I can bring my fiancé with me.

Every day I tell myself that I'm not going to check VisaJourney the next day and try to remove myself from worrying about our petition, that it will come when it comes, but then I see that people posting that January petitions are being improved, I convince myself to come check again. :P It's a terrible cycle! I know our petition probably won't be approved until the beginning of June, but it doesn't stop me from checking!

I'm becoming so impatient!!
My job wants me to keep my contract with them if we don't get the visa soon and I don't want to be out of a job for too long during our move from Honduras to the US. So USCIS, approve faster! :)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureswhere is the love
I believe that most couples that are passing through this "stressfull" process, at least once in their relationship have pass through a similiar situation. I remember that a couple of months after we got married, my husband and I fought a lot just for simple and stupid things. Everyday a different stuff, that he was too jealous, or about time difference, or that you are too tired, or something... the thing is that I dont know why, you fight!! Well, I told him that I didnt want to fight any more, that if this process was had the faulth of our discussions, just to stop talking about the process for a few months, because everything was concerning the visa. So we do that, and I believe it help a lot, because we were not stress for the same stuff. Remember that distance relationships (like ours) via internet or phone they are not healthy.! A phone or internet are the only ways to maintain a relationship, and if you say that she dont even what to talk...then it is hard fixing things away. If she could make a trip to visit you could help.....

hope you the best and remember in a marriage there are ups and downs. Not all days are sweet. You need 2 to maintain a relationship

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresenglish translation in san pedro sula honduras
Well, getting an english certified translation in SPS is quite hard. There are no too many helpful consular offices. I went to visit a lady called
Olga Page in Plaza Monaco, SPS.......I went for your same situation looking for a certified english birth and married certificate, but she told me that
I could do it by myself jajajja! thing that is not true, because you need a certified translator. So, if I may advise you, tell your husband to look for
one in the USA where he lives. Abviously it is going to be more expensive. My husband paid 45$ per page in VA!!!!!!
Be free to ask me any other question, If I can help you I would. I know there are not to many honduran people here.......

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresLength of Relationship before Marriage
I believe that loving a person is Perfect, BUT once you start living and sharing with that person 24x7 things may change if you dont take the time to know each other. Age and professional development also matter.

Just my personal and humble opinion........

Sorry to ask, but who is the petitioner??
Anyways, I had similar case like yours. My husband had a lot of medical issues and because of this we expedite our case, which make all the process easier thanks God.
I remember that when I read the letter that his doctor wrote for us to send to the NVC; I told him, Do you really have all this? cuz I didnt understand all those medical words and weird illness that he have. Dont be frighten to send it, they will think that you need your husband by your side to help you with your depression.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureswhat happens if missing dcument at interview??
Hi everynbody. I had my interview today and it was very good,
The consular asked only 3 questions and then just
Made me sign the visa application ds230 and said all our
Documents and relationship proof was good except
That I needed to get a new birth certificate and marriage
Certificate so she gave us a paper saying that we needed
To bring those documents to the embassy and then after they receive them
They would call me back to go into the embassy and just to bring my passport
Is that a goood thing?????? Are we almost approved?? Anybody had the same situation
And if so what was the process did it take long?? Consular lady said all
Was good and said the sooner we bring it the faster it will get done.
Thank u in advance

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresIs marrying again a good idea???
My wife and I had beeing discussing the idea of marrying here in the US. We are already married in her home country (honduras). A friend of mine recommend me to it, because he says it is easier to obtain any document without presenting the honduran marriage certificate, which is in spanish and traductions are always needed (besides the fact that every time we need a traduction I spend 70$).
Also that a US marriage certificate has more validity here...

What do you think?? Has anyone marry in your wife/husband country and here in the US???
catracha85FemaleHonduras2011-08-09 15:37:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureswhat is an EXPEDITE???
We expedite our case, it was approved and it took us like 4 months to go under the CR1 process thanks to it. We did it based on my husband's medical conditions. Read all what they ask and if you think you may qualify try applying. At the end it doen't hurt trying you don't have to pay an extra fee just for applying. So, good luck in your journey and the CR1 was your best choice :)

Another question: The marriage certificate that they give here in san pedro sula is in spanish. Has anyone had any problems submitting the form I 130 with a marriage certificate in spanish, does it need to be translated to english?
Do you need to send passport photos and completed form G325 if applying for K3 visa with form I 130??
