K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	OMG I HAVE AN INTERVIEW	On what date did you ask the embassy to set up an interview? Hopefully they keep giving interviews quickly, we hope to get one soon! I am really confused they gave me an interview for my fiance NOVEMBER 19 this month ! I was told they take almost a month for interviews to be schedule I am not ready because I have paperwork still to get . It seems to me that the new address you are talking about would be the old immigration building... The embassy website still says this: For those applicants requesting their police certificate (Constancia de Antecedentes Policiales) in Honduras they should contact the: Dirección Nacional de Investigación Criminal (DNIC) Barrio Villadela 5ta. I am the US petitionar and am 9 months pregnant. Our baby will certainly be born before the interview in Honduras. My question is will they require DNA testing for my fiance (paternity) and of me and the baby to approve the visa and will this subsequently delay the interview or visa??? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	What happens after they get to you????	I worry about my fiance being bored as well. But he is a pretty simple guy, and as he told me, he "has his Xbox." Lol. I honestly think that HE will be bothered by the fact that he can't work, only because he really wants to provide for me instead of the other way around. He was like that when I first came to Honduras and I was working while he was not, but he has gotten over that now that he has a job. I have looked into enrolling him into classes about things that he enjoys (computers, programming, etc.) and we have a community center in my town where he can take art, drawing, cartooning and animation classes if he wants to learn anything like that. He also really likes helping other people, so I'm hoping that I can find him a place to volunteer a few days until he gets the ability to work and then, subsequently, go to university. My parents took the liberty of planning a family vacation to Disney in January, about two months after we arrive in the US. I think this will greatly help him if he feels bored, because it will be something new and exciting for him. I want to also make sure I keep his weekends exciting, showing him around, taking his places, maybe a weekend in Chicago or to a festival or even out to eat or going bowling, and not staying at home every night on the weekends. It will be pretty damn cold in December and January but he already told me that he wants to experience that type of weather so we will try it (I hate cold weather and haven't even seen snow in 2 years...). We talk a lot about his expectations, what he wants to do there, what he wants to see, where he wants to go, what he is interested in learning or doing or classes he wants to take. He is pretty adaptable so I'm pretty lucky in that. We will set up his mother with a MagicJack so he can call her at any time, or she can call him, which I think will help him with any homesickness he will feel. Luckily we have been able to spend the past 2 years together in the same country, so we practically know everything about each other and how we work. I think waiting for the NOA2 is the hardest part because you spend a lot of your time wondering, "Will they approved it?" or "Will they deny it?" or "OMG I hope they didn't lose my dang petition." or "OMG please no RFE." I remember telling my fiance many, many times that the stupid NOA2 was never, ever going to come and we were going to be stuck waiting for a bazillion months and blah, blah, blah. Specifically, I remember complaining a whole storm about it and then the day, BING! It showed up in my email. The problem between NOA1 and NOA2 is that it's slow as molasses, you have no news, and you are constantly checking your texts and emails thinking that something will happen that day. I remember checking the USCIS website after ONE month hoping to have NOA2. Sincerely, after NOA2, the time has flown by. We even have our interview three months after NOA2 and at the beginning, I kept thinking that it was forever away, but now it's only 3 weeks away. Your focus shifts and you get news from the embassy, and you feel that every thing has picked up its pace. It's amazing to me that now things seem to be happening fast, when just the other month I felt like I was watching paint drying on the wall. Never give up if your fiance(e) is your true love. If it's meant to be, it will happen in due time. It's hard and the process is tough, it really can bring out the worst side of a person (as well as the best in circumstances). Just think that months from now, you will look back at the time that you waited and be happy that you did it, because it will seem like just yesterday you dropped that petition envelope in the mailbox.	kate&javi	Female	Honduras	2012-09-22 20:32:00

If I were you, and if this is possible for you, can you move to Jamaica to be with him during the one year ban? Of course, if it's not possible, that's totally understandable but if you have the necessary means, you could go there for one year and wait out the ban with him... just in case they want to tell you again that your relationship is not bonafide. The country is relatively small, but they don't have a lot of workers there and there are A LOT of people who apply for visitor visas. I mean, A LOT. The day of my husband's appointment, there were probably 100 people for visitor visas. Imagine! They don't even schedule appointments on Fridays to catch up with the paperwork. I know it sucks but there is nothing you can do. Just be patient... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	INDIANA state ID ir Drivers license!???HELP	You need a SSN to get an Indiana ID or license. To apply for an ID or license, you need: 1. proof of identity (birth certificate or passport) 2. SSN 3. proof of residency (requires 2 bills at the current address, if she does not have that you can sign a Residency Affidavit saying that she lives with you, which requires: your birth certificate, your current ID or license, your SS card, 2 bills at the current address) 4. proof of lawful status in the US (I-94) I don't know if your fiancee currently has a driver's license from her country, but if not she needs to get a permit first, which means that she needs to first apply for the permit (she has to pass the written exam and provide all the above documents, as well as a vision test), then she can drive with someone in the passenger seat who is over 21 with a current license for 50 documented hours and she has to be an Indiana resident for 180 days. If not, it will be denied. I had a super frustrating day today though: had an interview that I'm pretty sure I bombed (super tough, difficult questions), couldn't change my name at the bank because I don't have a driver's license with my current address (just moved), can't change my address at the DMV because I don't have bills or a bank statement with the current address, ahhhhhh a super annoying loop de loop.... It was a super pain because they wanted an ID with his address, and it doesnt say in his passport and neither on his Honduras ID. And he cant get an Indiana ID right now. I was getting really fed up but then the lady found the outgoing customs paper from when we flew which had his address in Honduras on it. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	It's nice to read this thread and see all of the great news and that everyone is moving quickly and painlessly through this process. Javier's interview is Wednesday, so 4 days away. He's super nervous and keeps asking me what happens if they say no to giving him the visa. I tell him to relax, that they will say yes, but he so paranoid (by nature) and worried about it. I think what makes his nerves worse is that they denied him a visitor visa back in late 2011 but they base visitor visa issuance and K1 visa issuance on totally different things. I'm nervous as well, but I know everything will be ok and he will get the visa. Today was my last day at work today as well, I cried a lot of tears saying goodbye to all my students and my friends, it's really hard but a necessary step. This is like the worst day of my life and a happy one at the same time. Is it okay to cry a river? Totally understand what you mean. It's always hard to leave people behind that you love and care about, but thankfully we have things like Skype, IM, FB, etc. so they won't feel SO far away than if we didn't have those things. I also hate the fact that I have leave people here in Honduras behind and they aren't even my family! (Just my students, friends and Javi's family) It's a bittersweet situation, you know? Seriously let yourself cry, and let yourself miss the people that you love. You will get homesick but everyone does. I think that, even though I'm the USC, I will get homesick for Honduras!
