K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPoints of Entry for K-1 Applicant
I came into JFK about a year ago. And the only thing they ask was: "Business or Pleasure?" Then make a picture or something, fingerprint and done. I could get my suitcase and was outside. They did ask me questions at the airport in Holland though.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F and Check Cashing
Mostly when the check is cashed, this means you got your NOA1 (Note of Arrival) . Could take a lil longer because the NOA1 has to be mailed.

Good luck on your Journey

Show evidence of you going back to your homecountry. =] Like a letter of employer etc.

Maybe an idea to first go there, then apply while being there? Just a thought

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 for only 1 month in US?
If you have no plans of getting married then the k-1 is not an option since you HAVE to get married. You can not stay in the states without getting married. If you are to get married in vietnam you can apply for k3 visa.

Good luck

Reply to the poster. I'd tell my fiance to kick out the exwife first. So there's no reason anymore for maybe an second denial. I mean, who is important? The exwife or the new woman he is suppose to spend the rest of his life with. =]

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresChanging my non-US residency
When I moved, 3 times. lol We didn't had to change the adress at all. Because the people from the service centers don't send you anything. The Embassy or Consulate, w/e in your country does. As for Holland, We sign in on a adress so they automatically send the packet to that adress where we are signed in. Don't know about other countries

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureshow long
Don't forget it was weekend, no post on sunday's.... Just have some patient, mostly takes about a week from what ive seen in timelines. America to Europe is pretty far distance. Mostly when my hubby sends something from America it takes up to 5 days before I get it. Sometimes earlier. Don't forget that after it was send to your consulate they have to look through it and then send it to you. Good luck and congratz on the NOA2

When i left the US and was back in Holland i found out that we were pregnant as well (we got a miscarriage) But before that my American fianceé called the USCIS and they said that the pregnancy would indeed speed up the process. Though I'm the one moving to America and we wanted the baby to become an American citizen by birth so i'm not sure about your case. Make a phone call. Like we say in Holland, You got a no, a yes you can get.

Good luck

The person answering the phone is not the one to make such a decision.... All expedite requests are made by someone many levels higher and are done on a case by case basis....

FWIW, your child would still have been a USC even if born in Holland (though would not be eligible to seek the US Presidency).

Not our fault then that we got informed wrong, by someone that should have knowledge about these things blink.gif

Maybe reading everything would help? We are not married. I've explained this in another reply. Besides that that is not the point, that's not the "problem" I have.

But will they send you an RFE if they lose it??

Lol, don't worry, I'm not going to tell anyone that is in a higher position how I call my loved one. If it matters or not. =] And mostly to everyone I talk to I just say Bill. Just sorta jumps out without noticing while typing.

And yes you are right, maybe I should stop looking. But it also gives me hope... It crushes me and gives hope at the same time, does that make sense? I guess nothing makes sense atm.

Anyways, thank you for all your answers.

They're working on march filers atm. Still about 95 march filers to go,

Still about 95 VJ members to go. In actuality, there are many more March filers who don't use visa journey that are waiting. Always remember that we are not the only people who file for these types of visas.

True lol sry

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion about NOA2 Hardcopy.
As you can see on the attached image, I've underlined the stuff we are not sure about.

First thing is the notice. Valid untill 08-11-09 to 12-11-09. What exactly does this mean? And the A number??

Second thing is the I-824 we can file for. What exactly does this mean? What does it do and do we have to do this?

Thanks ^^

I felt the same way you did. But believe me. One day someone is going to call you in the morning asking if you got it yet. You'll say no almost crying, then you go upstairs to find the email in your inbox. Happened to me. It'll come when you least expect it.

I'm afraid all we can tell you is to wait. They don't work as First come first served. So you have to be patient, and believe me I know how you feel. We got our NOA2 august 11th, While someone that filed 10 days after us got it 2 weeks ago.

Good luck on your journey

Oke, Bill called the USCIS. And they gave this answer: For k-1 visa it's no problem not having a job. Your fiance can come to the States and you can marry her. Though for the status of permanent resident it'll be a problem. (i'm guessing green card?) He called again and another person said the same thing, and he asked to talk to the supervisor and he said the same thing as well. So i'm totally lost here now. I'm thinking of calling the Amsterdam consulate tommorow and see what they can tell me.

I know, and it's stupid but it's the way it is. I do say we have to do this. It just makes it easier for me to blame something while doing it. That's just my way of doing things. It's different for other people. I know why i'm doing this and will not stop untill I'm with the man I love. But still it calms me down =] It's the same as blaming an teacher when they did something that they have to do while you don't agree with it but you still do it... Get me? oh well. Thanks for your info

I wasn't referring to your other comments, they were very helpfull and i thank you for that.

Let's just drop the subject, I have no strenght to argue. We're gonne try have his stephdad or his friend to be our join sponsor. I don't want the government to get out of the way or change their laws because of me. But that doesn't mean i cannot have my personal opinion. You went through the whole process, you sure know it was stressfull. Blame me for trying to find an victim (this case the government) to losen my frustrations on. It's not more then normal to do =]
