I just pray I get to NVC and through there quickly as possible. I'd like your timeline through there Erichu!! Holy cow! My buddy just called USE Manila and they said they make K-1 interview appointments once a month?? His petition got there in Sept., we filed the same day. But they missed him when they made appointments in Oct. She said they'll be making more appointments in mid Nov. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Approved!!! 234 day wait!!	YUP!! About damm time!! 234 days!!! I'm happy but mostly just relieved at the moment. My stress level was peaked at 9.9!!! It's a bitter sweet victory though!! No one should have to go through this for this long. No 2nd RFE......only IMBRA!! not in Security checks. They had all the evidence they needed, they just took their sweet azz time. I actually just got home from my Congressman's office. She was peturbed I was bugging her again!! I was there at 1pm and she changed her time frame again about my inquiry. First she said she would be updated every 10 days. Then mid Oct she said 30 days til we hear an update from the first inquiry. Today she said 30-45 days which it said on the e-mail from CSC. These people are friggin nuts! Now if I can just get out of CSC as soon as possible. I know, they've had my RFE since July 29 and still nothing. They can take as long as they want. "However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case." That's a joke. It doesn't mean squat. Did you have to answer yes to any of the IMBRA questions? I assume yes since you sent 20 pages back. That might cause a delay. Who knows?? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Frustrated isn't the right word.	Well if you wait as long as I had to. 234 days you'll be approved the end of March. And even once you're past the processing date. All you can do is have an inquiry done. It took 1 month from my inquiry to get my NOA2 today. I very much doubt you'll take as long as some of us. We got screwed and wasted time becoz of IMBRA. But be prepared, better to be surprised then expect it and wait in anguish like we did. Good luck!! A lot of it is just that, luck. My co-worker who's Cambodian got his fiancee here last year and I've talked with him about it. She had to travel to Bangkok and he had to send her the paperwork becoz the postal system is so bad there. It still only took them about 7 months to get her visa. Is it not lost?? what did they say exactly? "Petition is held in strict chronological order" ROFL That's BS. Mine took almost 8 months to NOA2 while I watched others months behind me get approved. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	What is best, to have a lawyer or not with the K-1 Visa??	It's a lot easier with this website and the internet as a whole. I don't think anyone needs a lawyer unless they have complicated issues or are just very bad at paperwork. It's like taxes, but more simple even. Feel very fortunate, becoz we were waiting over 2 months before you even visited your fiancee for the first time and still have another 2 months to go at least. Some of us from March got bent over for almost 8 months!! I would have given damn near anything for it to take 60-90 days like it does about now. Please be aware of others timelines when complaining! lol Some of us are a tad bit touchy. Hope you don't have to wait as long as us, no one should.... good luck! Just imagine how you'd feel if CSC were approving K-1's filed 4-5 months after you filed yours. Actually approving k-1's in less time then they had my RFE which they sat on for 3 months!! Processing them in the order they were received??? Now that would be too fair and make sense!! It would be nice too if the Embassy would give some preference to your NOA1 date, but they don't give a ####### either!! You might want to send her back. Or she may turn out to want to go back. Oh yeah its cheaper too. If you think most are like that, then you are very ignorant. Does it happen? Sure sadly it does. Usually to older guys who don't learn the language also. I could tell you horror stories about at least 5 guys I know personally that were TOTALLY screwed over by their WHITE AMERICAN wives. Cheating, money all kinds of bogus things to these guys. Is that representative of all American women???? I've seen a lot more Phil/American marriages last longer then others... Arnold, as far as a one way ticket. Where is she flying into?? I've searched and found some good deals. Where are you stateside? and when is your unit rotating back?? Apply now while you are deployed to use that time to get it to the embassy. It's going a lot better then last year, much faster. We got screwed at every stop and are still waiting. Manila is a ####### shoot as far as how long it takes...they've become the worst embassy in the world to petition through... Start getting your documents together...how old is she?? My buddy has been in AR for over 4 months becoz they thought she looked to young... he's 27 she's 20 ####### but I see them approve 60 yr olds and 20 yr old no problem?? What a joke this process is!!
