What the heck are they thinking there??? 196 days vs 55 days ??? Hmmmm? Who should we work on first?? I don't want anyone to wait as long as I or others have. But YES this still pisses me off becoz they are spending TIME on petitions that should not be worked on yet!!! What is so hard about making it somewhat FAIR?? This is why I never play the Lottery!! I never win!! My file and other March filers should be worked on and done before any other files are worked on PERIOD. Then move on...to April...and May.....what is so damn hard about that?? I'm curious what they might need also since I'm worried I might get another one. They've had my IMBRA RFE longer than 2 months and I'm almost to 7 months if it makes you feel any better! Hope you hear something before or while you are visiting. I just got back yesterday from Philippines but couldn't give my fiance any good news while there. Paper pushers covering over paperpushers butts!! I think. I just got home Tuesday and got a response to mine. "They indicted that your Petition for Alien Fiance is with an officer who is reviewing the merits of the case" They've had my RFE for over 60 days! How long does it take to review the dang thing?? "merits of the case" makes me a little nervous?? and no update since Sept 6?? 211 days when others are being approved in under 30? no excuse! rebeccajo wrote "My understanding is that other service centers have other visa sections which they regard as more important." I believe that. look at work visas dates!! non-citizens get better service. And how can they get exchange-students done so fast?? Didn't ALL or Most of the 9-11 hijackers get here on student visas?? And just tell them this is a revision of the original I-129F and blame them for not sending you an RFE originally for marrying a woman who would soon change her mind? If this doesnt work, just look for a domesticated woman here in America which is hard, or just domesticate one for yourself and save yourself the K-1 visa trouble. Not very good advice there. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	USPS seems to work for overnight delivery of RFE	I work at the Post Office. They'll just hold it until someone is there to sign for it. If you sign the waiver it'll just go into their tub or bag however they get it delivered to them. Some business's pick up their mail at the Post Office if they get a ton, which CSC might do. People make fun of the Post Office sometimes, how slow we are, but we do a dammn good job most of the time. When you deal with a billion pieces of mail of course some are mis-sent or misdelivered but that's like .0001% or something ridiculous. If it's important send it express or at least priority mail! They can track only express or registered mail!! What's USCIS's excuse for losing files, slow service etc??? I'm on Lake Michigan actually right across from Milwaukee. I bet there's some NOA2's tonight. I doubt mine, I don't want to get my hopes up anymore. My Congressman's office told me last week it's with an officer who is "reviewing the merits of the case" SHe just made excuses for USCIS. SO it's not in security checks and it's still taking this long?? what BS!! How long does it take to review only so much evidence?? 10 million illegals in this country, and they stress families out and treat them like ####### to maybe catch a few fraud cases?? I know it's selfish but I don't think I could stand to see another wave of August/September approvals! It's not selfish at all!!!! We should have been approved long ago. It's only fair for them to spend the time on ours instead of Aug and Sept NOA1's. I'm disgusted at how they treat us and the mental pain they cause. I would have been happy to wait only 60-90 days!!! My congressman's office sent a letter saying CSC was "reviewing the merits of the case" on Sept 29. Still nothing!!!! Even they get a Congressional Inquiry they still could drag their feet. I mean, how long can it take to review? There's only so many pages of evidence!! I hope your's doesn't go to the desk mine is on, for your sake. Nobody should have to wait this long when they have the manpower to process it, they just don't care obviously. 230 friggin days. My luck I'll get put on AR at the Embassy too.
