K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsWhat happens at the NVC step?

We received our NOA2 yesteday, just wondering what exactly happens when the NVC receives the package from the service center.  Do they just forward it on to the embassy?  Do they set up the interview date?  Just curious what goes on at this step.

Thanks!

Your petition will be assigned a case number.  You can call the NVC number, make sure you have your receipt number and your fiancee's birthdate.  By the time I called, my case number had been assigned and was mailed out to the embassy that day.  With that date, I was able to go to the DHL website and track the case using tricks that others figured out.  There is a thread about it.  I found my case by the ship date from NVC and knew when it arrived at the embassy, two days later my fiancee got her Packet 3.

Congrats Ramsey, glad your case is moving along. I'm ending a 9 day trip to Barcelona with my fiancee, and will spend our last night back in Japan before I return home and we resume the visa process. It's been great being with her after this challenging visa process and am fired up to complete it. Enjoy you time with your fiancee buddy, well deserved!

Hi Ramsey, Congrats!! I'm currently in Japan visiting my fiancee and got the email notice that you responded and I read the good news! It's been a journey but you are almost there. We slowed things down cause of this trip but will schedule the embassy interview soon. Our NVC to embassy step was fast. Aloha my friend!

Aaaahhhh I FINALLY GOT THE NOA2 !!! THEY JUST SENT ME AN E-MAIL A FEW HOURS AGO!

Awesome!  I got chicken skin just reading it!  I know there were times when you questioned when this day would come, no thanks to your incompetent lawyer.  Take time to celebrate, then get back on track, there's a whole new bunch of things to do.  They will mail your petition to the NVC, you can call there to find out when they receive it.  By the time I called, it had already been assigned a number and was sent off to the Embassy.  There is a trick to tracking your case from the NVC if you know the exact date it ships and which embassy it's going to. I tracked my package and sure enough, 2 days later my fiancee got her packet 3 which she is working on.  We have been through these rough times together, let's all keep in touch through the next stages if we need support!

Praying for the others who had April RFEs!

JD&Coconut, thanks for asking buddy smile.png So, after speaking with a Tier 2, apparently these is a "glitch in the system that many applicants are experiencing". He said that I should disregard that status update and to wait until I get my RFE reply. What I sent them was very simple, and straight-to-the-point. Basically 2 letters of intent, signed by my fiance & I. Hopefully the fact that they are that simple makes them process it faster. I'm just really bummed that I would get 2 RFE's....I think that's a very rare occurrence and should never happen if the CSC officers knew what they were doing.

Any updates on your RFE reply?!?

Glad to hear that Ramsey! Hopefully you'll get your long awaited NOA2 in less than 2 weeks.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsApril RFEs

Hey everyone,

So I just wanted to give you an update on my case. Unfortunately, the USCIS and CSC continue to be highly incompetent on my case. I received my 2nd RFE on Saturday, and just sent it out this morning (apparently this time they want a letter of intent). I don't understand why they wouldn't just say that in the first RFE and save me about a month of nerve-racking frustration. Anyways, they should be receiving my reply by noon tomorrow so that's not a problem. The problem is that I just received a text/e-mail saying that they updated my case status and when that happened, I went to check My Case Status on www.uscis.gov and this is what I found:

On June 3, 2013, the post office returned your document I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) as undeliverable. If you do not contact us at 1-800-375-5283 within 180 days from June 3, 2013, this document will be destroyed and you will need to file a new application with fee.

What on earth are they talking about? What could be the meaning of that? Is this just an error? or did they mistake me with someone else? I am on hold right now to speak with a Tier 2 ISO to clarify what happened but it just frustrates me so much how a branch of the US government could be this stupid.

I was happy to hear that you finally got your hard copy for the second RFE.  I can't believe they didn't ask for the letter of intent during the first RFE.  Didn't someone say they hired new workers to help with the CSC backlog, if so, I can only guess how many errors the new workers are making.

That message you go it weird, just when you thought, okay, second reply done, you get that! I really hope you get answers today.  Hang in there! Keep us updated.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Takeo! I am trying to be as patient as I can. I sincerely hope that it is just a computer glitch and that they actually are still reviewing my RFE (almost 3 weeks now since they got it). I contacted the USCIS 2 times so far today to speak with a Tier 2, the first one was completely unhelpful, mean and so rude, she closed the phone in my face and I was being so nice and reasonable. The 2nd Tier 2 I talked to (keep in mind I waited about 1 hr 30 min each time) was a lot more helpful and understanding, however he could not really tell me if this RFE is the same as the original that was sent in or if it is actually a new RFE. He said that he worked in the CSC before and that if I got a reply saying the received my evidence, then they are definitely reviewing it. If it is a re-maling, then that doesn't mean the notice is a deal breaker, it is just that the office assistant has to send those out when I make a request.

I'm still pretty confused but at least he helped me a little bit. I am praying for a quick adjudication/decision so that I may move on to the next step of the process.

Takeo, has your package arrived in Tokyo yet? My uncle was telling me it is a good idea for your fiance to do all her medical exams before the interview so she can schedule it right away.

Hi Ramsey,

When my I129F was delayed, I never called because I never heard of a successful phone call.  It almost sounds like their job is to tell people, that they are within the processing times, or, it hasn't been 60 days yet, yada yada yada.  They have outiright lied to people and I just knew it would be more frustrating for me to call.  Contacting my Senator's office wasn't much help either.  At first they appeared very helpful, but in the end, they really weren't.

As for my case, I read about how to track the case from NVC to the embassy using the DHL website.  I guess people have figured out a way to guess which is your mailing if you have the ship date.  NVC said 5/22, so I did the search and found 1 package leaving the NVC on 5/22 to Tokyo.  It arrived on 5/28, not sure if it's Japan date or US date, but either way, it's at the Tokyo embassy.

My fiance is flying later this year, probably September, so there is no immediate rush for her to get the interview ASAP.  In fact, I think if she does her medical eval later, it may also be used for the green card process, so she says anyway.  I'm visiting in a few weeks, so I will hand carry the financial support statement, letter of intent, copies of the NOA2, etc.  It's nice to take a breather and not feel so rushed.

Hey lovelylovegia, glad to hear you are making some progress, please do share the e-mail address with us because I am very curious. There was an update on my case status last night saying that I was mailed an RFE (again) which is so weird, this is the 4th time they say that I was e-mailed an RFE. I'm just very confused myself and very sad sad.png I don't know what to think of this...I will be calling the USCIS at 8:00 AM so I can speak to the second level to sort this out. Thanks for your insight.

What are they doing with your case??? Geesh, I'm praying that it's a computer problem and the notice will finally be a Post Decision.  Hope you get answers soon, I know how agonizing it is to not know what the heck is going on.  If there is any silver lining to this, the patience I have learned from this grueling K1 process is also helping me in my relationship and the whole planning the wedding thing.  After K1, there's still the green card process...but as I said before, it is all worth it! My happiness is worth it!

Nothing yet, my friend, and I understand your frustration, I am getting equally mad & sad about it... It's been 15 days and pretty soon it will be 3 weeks and we haven't received our NOA2 yet unsure.png what's even worse is that so many people around my WAC# have received their NOA2's already....I hope that means that we're getting much closer. I'm praying so hard that I receive it in the next few days. We have to keep the faith alive!

Good luck to you too buddy!  My case has been forwarded to the Tokyo Embassy yesterday but I keep dropping in to make sure my fellow April RFE friends get their NOA2 soon! Keep the faith!

That really is all we can do, sadly. Some people are fortunate to get their NOA2 within 7 days after their RFE reply and for others it could take up to 3-4 weeks. On Saturday (May 18) our VJ friends Navid+Tina received their NOA2 after they had gotten their RFE reply on April 27 (so 21 days total for them). The important thing, in the end, is that we actually get the NOA2 so that we can be reunited with our loved one in the very near future smile.png

Well said.  Hang in there, it'll all be worth it.  When I would get frustrated waiting for my NOA2, I stopped to think about why I'm doing all of this and was bodly reminded that I would do it even if it took twice as long...not that I wish that upon anyone, but you get my point! This time apart has taught me a lot of patience and of course an increased appreciation for the times I was able to spend with my fiancee.  Not to sound too mushy, but we do this for love, that's what gives us strength to persevere and endure the challenges and sleepless nights.  This too shall soon pass and we will be reunited once again..  Aloha my friends.

That's for all your reply's. I actually feel better knowing that other people had a similar error I did and finally got their NOA2. When I sent the I-129F in Sept, we had yet to find VJ. After reading VJ first time and learning of all "tricks" to submitting, I was really nervous that my application would not be up to "standard" I submitted all the proper documentation:  letters of intent, statement explaining how we met, G-325A's, birth cert,  passport biometric page + page with entry & exit stamps and passport photo's of myself and fiancee, photos of us(did not put date and location on them). Correspondence before and after my trip, phone call records.  Did not have boarding passes, lost those, but got receipt from Korean Air showing I was on flight.

Truth be known, when I got word RFE was on the way, I thought it would be for something like:  more detail on how we met, actual boarding passes, date and locations on photos, need copies of all pages of my passport, the stuff that usually trips people up during the app review. Yet, to my surprise;   need a lousy N/A on a statement. Didn't see that coming.

One thing that I did notice, the reason I found out about the RFE, was  I checked USCIS website. I never received e-mail or text notification as was the case when USCIS  accepted app. Not sure what happened there.

Congrats on the NOA2, glad they accepted your RFE! Please update your timeline.

Hey Folks!

In the same boat as you. NOA1 9/25/12. Wait 7 months, get RFE 4/22/13, they send it 5/2/13, get hard copy 5/7/13,  didn't  put "N/A" on the statement re: "if I'm in the armed forces overseas" etc. Returned RFE to CSC with N/A written on form, they receive 5/8/13 and..........

Nothing, nada, zip, zilch!!! Still waiting for them to look at it.

In the meantime, other people who returned RFE to CSC same day as me, they have NOA2. unsure.png Not sure what to think at this point. Makes me wonder if there is something else wrong with my application.  I know calling the so called "help line" will yield me nothing because they are no help what so ever.rofl.gif

So, we wait

When I got my RFE it said to answer with a "NONE"  and that N/A was not an appropriate answer.  I filled out question #1 with "NONE" and got approved.  Hope they accept your answer of "N/A".

Sent my RFE reply to the lawyer, overnight, FedEx tracking reported that they accepted it at 9 AM on Thursday.  I wrote them an Email asking them to let me know when the reply is sent in and get a tracking number; they send me an Email at 4:30 PM on Thursday saying they did not receive it yet.  Friday morning I sent them additional Emails with screen captures of the signature and the delivery date and time, get an Email later in the day saying they still had not seen it.  Monday will be three weeks since the RFE was mailed and the reply hasn't even been sent in yet.

I'm done with them, sent them an Email telling them their services were no longer required.  I will get the package together (again) and submit it on Monday and also inform CSC and NVC that they are no longer representing me.

Writing the state review board and filing with small claims court is also on the table at this point.

Unreal.

I hope I never need a lawyer because I dislike most of them with a passion. In my job I go up against lawyers sometimes because I investigate abuse on the elderly, and the lawyers attack me with whatever they can think of, even taking personal cracks at me.  Great thing is, I've won all my cases that had lawyers, and I'm not even a lawyer.

Sorry for your situation, feel so bad for you.  Hang in there.

Hi Takeo!

do you know if many people reported this (which posts?) and if so, how was it resolved with the applicant if it was a system glitch?

We received an RFE just now. I'm so furious as we spent thousands of dollars on a lawyer and we're over the 6 month mark now. Wedding and travel plans are now in jeopardy. The lawyer has been completely useless throughout the process - hadn't a clue what was going on at CSC, never heard of Visa Journey website, no realistic idea of processing times on the Dublin side, no advice, no support. If our RFE today was a system glitch, the lawyer was still useless! Arrrgggghhhhh!

wow - I needed to rant - fuming!

I recall reading a couple post from other members who were saying there were glitches, can't recall the thread title.  I'm not trying to imply all RFEs recently are glitches, it's just others had a spread apart RFE (not the typical double notice) and someone said it may have been a glitch.  I do not know if it got resolved or not. In your case, since you got your first notice, it sounds like an RFE.  You will get two notices, one to say it's coming and another when they supposedly mail it, the wording on both is the same.  Be happy that your case was touched in 6 months, many of us with NOA1 from July to Oct ended up waiting 8-9 months. Sorry that it might mess up your plans, hope you get your RFE resolved soon.

So sad and so angry today sad.pngranting33va.gif  the USCIS are a bunch of retarded pricks!!!!!!!! I hate them so much right now ranting33va.gif

I got another RFE...
On May 15, 2013, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

How does that even happen? Why wouldn't they submit all requests for evidence at the same time? I bet they need a different kind of evidence now. Arrgghhh, what a horrible day I'm having sad.png  now it's going be another 3 days till they mail it, another 9 days until it gets to me, another 2 days until they get it and another 7 days until they respond (3+9+2+7=21 days) 3 weeks of my time, completely wasted .... so a big thanks to the dueche bags at the CSC for being, once again, incompetent idiots.

Sorry for the rant guys wacko.png I needed to get it out of my system...

I've been reading other posts saying that the USCIS system was glitchy and possibly sending out RFE notices when there was none.  I'm not saying this is the case for yours, but just a heads up.

Rayanna, congrats !! Good luck on the rest of your journey smile.png

JD & Coconut, glad to hear you finally got the RFE but the fact that they lost your evidence is complete BS. There is a way to include time stamps using photoshop or other photo-editing tools. Alternatively, you can write the date and information on the back of the photo like what some of the other people here on VJ have been doing. Also, don't forget to point out who each person in the photo is. My RFE asked for the same thing, although I included photos from our Engagement last year and my boarding passes, etc...Honestly, the best form of evidence is primary evidence, basically scan your passport, front-to-back and send that with your RFE reply. Also, if you have a joint bank account or any kind of receipt that you 2 were together in the same location. Remember, pictures are secondary evidence.

Good luck with your RFE reply buddy! good.gif

I posted a thread on how to add time stamp using the embedded info on a digital picture but the mod moved my thread saying it wasn't K1 Process and Procedure related headbonk.gif .  So, anyway, here is how it's done, its quite easy and it really is official because you are using the pictures info, not making up any date like other methods.  http://www.visajourn...e-stamp-photos/

Grats Takeo!

Well, finally found out what happened with my hard copy; it went to the lawyer.  They finally called me today that they received it and apparently CSC "lost" (remember that water problem they had?) part of our packet which contained the evidence and they are asking for us to send them pictures (including in packet), boarding passes (including in packet), receipts (included and translated in packet), credit card statements (not included first time, will this time), etc... all over again.  Luckily I have everything but will include additional photos of us together (we have over 100) along with credit card transactions I made in China.  The lawyer also mentioned that it is best if the photos have the date stamped on them, well, none taken with my camera did, nor did any of those taken at the studio (wouldn't expect these to) which leaves us with a lousy four photos which were taken by family members that did have the date printed on the front.  Is that ridiculous or what?  Grrrr!!!  ranting33va.gif

Glad to hear you got your hard copy RFE, as for what CSC is asking for, that's all their fault!! But hey, no time to point fingers, hope they said "sorry" in the RFE! At least it gives you a second chance to beef up your packet, although my guess is that it really didn't need anything else if they hadn't "lost" your evidence.  Like Ramsey said though, the most important is primary evidence, if that is strong, chances are, even with somewhat weak secondary evidence, you will be approved.  That time stamped BS is probably old requirements that they haven't changed for years, who uses that ####### anyway?   I purposely turned off the time stamp on my digital cameras years ago.  I wrote on the back of my photos, describing who was in it, the exact date, and the exact location.  I think I just submitted a few, but my primary was strong, and my petition was approved.  Tell your laywer to send it Express, what is $20 for a couple days less stress and tracking of your response.

I read anywhere from 1 to 4 months for ours.  I'm guessing that two is probably the average but does depend on the embassy.

Yes, I've seen people getting their interview in about 6 weeks from NOA2 and others much longer, but 2 months seems around average.  Guess I should not have said minimum.

I totally agree with you there, that is definitely how it should be smile.png I've analyzed a lot of the recent RFE's on Igor's list and it looks like after RFE reply,it typically takes anywhere from 2-14 days but usually within about a week. Sorry to hear that you haven't gotten your RFE yet, buddy! Maybe it's because of the distance? I am in Cali and got it on Day 9. Hang in there. The good news is that you can turn it around pretty quickly as soon as you receive it. So I got it yesterday, gathered all my evidence and sent it this morning overnight so they should be getting it tomorrow before noon smile.png

Thanks for the advice, Takeo! I wrote a very good RFE explanation, as well as a declaration from myself, dad, photocopies of my passport, front to back, joint bank statement, etc...Hopefully I hear back from them by next week.

Good luck to both of you!

Sounds great! I've been monitoring Igor's list and the recent NOA2s are being approved in just a few working days after receiving the RFE reply.  Some have had their NOA2 approved just 2-4 days after CSC received the reply, that's exactly how it should be ;)

TakeoNot TellingJapan2013-05-08 17:51:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsApril RFEs

I still can't fathom why I received an RFE, hired a lawyer who seemed to be pretty thorough, submitted things such as:

-10 photos, names of those in the photos, where the photos were taken and the month and year (not the exact date which may be the cause?  Lawyers instructions told us to put this on the back of the photos)

-Copies of boarding passes for the flights

-Copies of all hotel, train and attraction receipts (translated if in Chinese)

-Copies of our passports, every page, which included the stamps from the country visited

-About 60 pages of Emails and chat messages

From what I read it may have been better to just taken screen captures of the Emails and chats showing how many pages there were?  We use QQ on a daily basis to communicate and we have over 3,000 pages of chat history.  The audio/video call logs are a bit more difficult to capture, haven't found a good way to extract that info from the program.

Hope I get the hard copy soon, driving me crazy trying to think of what we may have missed.

Sorry to hear that you have not received your hard copy yet.  I have heard of others waiting 10 days or so, so hopefully you get it in in the next day or two.

Sound like you had a decent amount of primary evidence of meeting, which is what they are really interested in.  Passport stamps, if clear and legible, is probably one of the best evidence.  Boarding passes and hotel receipts with your name on it would also be strong, without name, not as strong.  Copies of your ATM or credit card transactions in her country, proves you were there.  The stuff like emails and chats are secondary evidence and probably more important for the next stage of showing you had an on-going relationship.  For now, you need to prove you met in person.

As I stated earlier, my mistake was missing a question, quickly found that when I went over my I129F, such a stupid mistake.  Hang in there!

Takeo, thanks for all the tips, buddy! smile.png I will definitely get them the passport stamps, do you think I should photocopy the whole passport so they know it's me? Or just the pages with the stamps? I also just remembered that we opened a joint Lebanese bank account so I told my fiance to get me dated records of that. Oh and one last question, for the dated photos, do you recommend that I develop them (like at wal mart) or is it fine to include them in a printed word document or PDF?

I copied my fiancee's entire passport.  It was a pain, but I wanted to be thorough.  Make sure the copies are clear enough so they can read the stamps especially with you going there or her coming here.  You may even want to put post-its if there are other country stamps and just highlight the ones they need to see.

I have a bank account with my fiancee also.  She had to be here in Hawaii to sign and open a joint account.  I will use it for the embassy packet to show on-going relationship.

People say the photos must be date stamped, but in todays age, lots of photos are taken without date stamps.  I didn't plan on getting engaged and married, so many of our photos do not have the date stamp.  The pics I submitted, I printed out at Wallgreens, and then wrote on the back who is in the picture, city and state of where we were, and date.  It's more work, but felt it was worth it...after all, you've waited this long.

Lastly, don't forget to make two copies of everything.  One copy you will eventually send to your fiancee, the other copy you will hold on to, just in case you need to refer to your packet.

Yeah, tell me about it! The wait is pretty nerve-racking, I know...However, I do have some good news....I just received my RFE this morning (Day 8 I guess) so yours shouldn't be too far away smile.png I guess they wanted evidence that "Petitioner and beneficiary have met in person". The 2 main things are: "Circumstances of Meeting" (evidence that we met to establish a relationship) AND "Last Personal Meeting".

I guess our 20+ photos including Engagement Ceremony photos did not do the trick. Apparently, the following does not constitute as evidence of meeting: disc, videos, emails, letters, phone bills, greeting, an itinerary, undated boarding passes and undated photos.

Now that I think about it all the photos were undated, so I think that's probably it! Also I included all my itineraries as proof that I visited Lebanon. I guess I will need to photocopy my passport to show the different time stamps on entry and exit of the country. I will overnight it tomorrow with all the required evidence and hopefully that should suffice.

Don't worry, you should receive it in the next day or so probably cool.png Good luck on your journey my friend!

Glad you got the hard copy.  You submitted a lot of evidence, but it seems they are very particular about having primary evidence.  I think the strongest is the passport stamps.  Also strong is airline boarding stubs with name and dates on them.  I'm guessing photos could be anyone in them, so that is why they are secondary evidence, even if there are dates on them.  If you have any reciepts, like hotel reciepts, or tours or things your purchased when visiting your fiancee, send it.  ATM or credit card bills showing charges in your Fiancee's country, send it.  Good luck!!!

I got a text this afternoon that CSC received my RFE reply today, 5/6.  I mailed it Express so they better have it ;).  Igor's list is full of RFEs, that's a very good sign for many of us who have been waiting a long time for CSC.  Tomorrow makes my 9 months from NOA1.

 Just logged in now...and approved!!

We mailed our RFE on April 29.  They received it and updated it in the system on May 2, and today, as of about 30 minutes ago, we've been approved!  CSC is FINALLY working again.  After filing in July 2012 and being depressed and hopeless for months, 9 1/2 months later we are finally approved!!!!!  I've refreshed the page about 5 times because I just can't believe it.

Best of luck to everyone!!  I hope you all hear soon!

Congrats!!! I feel your happiness!  I read your post earlier today, then I just checked Igor's list and saw your name up there before I checked this thread!!

When they request further evidence about meeting in person within the two years prior to submitting the petition, keep in mind they are looking for evidence BEFORE the petition was submitted.  Anything after, whether visits, plane ticket stubs, photos, etc. does not count.  So going to your doctor now I don't think would be very helpful.

I ran into a similar problem as you and received a RFE this month for proof of meeting in person within two years prior to the application filing.   I met my fiance in Spain when I was there working. He is from France and was also in Spain working at the time. Because he is from the European Union, he didn't get a stamp or need a visa to be there like I did or to travel between countries in the European Union.  With my original petition package I sent in photos (non-timestamped) and copies of email itineraries of trips we took together by plane and copies of hostel reservations.  We did not have any boarding passes of those trips, or of our travel to/from Spain.  We didn't save them and like most people threw them away after our trips because at that time we were not thinking of getting married/not thinking into the future that maybe some day those might be needed/etc.  I thought that the evidence I sent would be enough, but of course it wasn't.  For primary evidence, the itineraries weren't enough without our boarding passes and entrance/exit stamps.  Also, they said for secondary evidence, it had to be time-stamped photos, so ours didn't count.

So in my RFE reply that I just mailed off, I included a copy of my visa page, copy of my foreign resident ID in Spain, copy of my entrance stamps (which were actually from another country because that is where I entered the European Union).  I also included a copy of my letter of employment from the Spanish government and the translation and signed translation certificatation.  For my fiance it was more difficult.  I included a copy of his letter offering him employment and translation and also a copy of his rent contract and translation.  I sent in a document from the police station he received after registering his presence, but because he is from the European Union, of course he didn't receive an ID card like me.  I wrote a long letter explaining all of those details about why he didn't have a stamp and I did, etc.  Hopefully it will be enough.

Wow! What a challenging RFE.  And this is why people who get easy RFEs should be grateful.  Sounds like you did a good job with providing as much evidence you could, please keep us updated! Wishing you the best!

I also got RFE on 4/27/2013 they want the letter of intent and prove that we meet. Although I send a copy of passport stamp, so now wait for man to sent it from Uganda to me. He could write then through email but I was scare so I said no . I had him fedx to me which arm and leg. Still waiting the arrival. I wait six month and now this. I miss my man so much I cry. There is nothing can do put wait. I feel like I am ask my parents the ok to marry ,but is not my family,

So you are waiting for your letter of intent to marry from your fiancee.  What else are you submitting as primary evidence?  What else can you submit to show you met your fiancee in person? Do you have boarding pass stubs, hotel reciepts, ATM withdrawals from Uganda on your account? These stressful times is hard, but it will make you a stronger person.  Getting the RFE is actually a good thing, means you will be approved soon!

congrats on your aproval!!!and takeo thanks for your advice im going to email copies of the trasanctions i have done with me being in tj ,im triying to put everything together asap, but i dont want to send a weak package, i also called my congressman but an assistant answered he said he emailed the uscis so his waiting for the response , im just going to wait until tomorrow to see what they say, if i dont hear an answer i will just send my package hopin gits enough,,,oh btw do we need to use the envelope they send us , becuase its a small one my pictures are not gonna fit there

I would make your response as strong as possible.  Remember, primary evidence is key.  You need to have evidence to show you have met, so proof that you have been in TJ will support this.  Then, back it up with more secondary evidence, like the pictures.  They are not asking to show an "ongoing" relationship, that will be for your interview, just proof of meeting in person.  My Senator's office has not been too helpful, but others have had some luck.  I put the small envelope in a bigger Express Mail envelope because I wanted to track it and have no more delays, which reminds me, it should of arrived by 3:00 today, so I need to check.  Cost $19.95, but was worth it knowing it was going their the fastest, although there is no overnight from Hawaii.  BTW, don't forget to make copies of everything you send.  Include this with the copies of your first packet.  When you get the NOA2, you will send this copy to your fiancee and keep a copy for yourself.

Just got an email that says our petition has been approved!!!

Awesome! Congrats!!! I hope CSC is just as efficient! Igor's list for CSC NOA2s show recent approvals for those who had RFEs so things are looking good for those who responded to their RFEs!!

First RFE notice 04/25

Second (and third) RFE notice on 04/30

No hard copy yet!  Just checked the mail today.

This is causing my fiancee some serious stress.  First the long delays with CSC, then the RFE, and now this.  Dreading having to tell her that it did not come in the mail again.

My hard copy took 6 mailing days from the second email notice, but I live in Hawaii so mail from Continental US is a bit slower to get here.  Hope you get yours by tomorrow.  The stress definitely tests the strength of our relationships.  Hang in there.

went i sent my packet i send out emails of when we first started talking and pictures of our 6 year relationship from begining to present, on the RFE they want as primary evidence airline tickets stubs , passport stamps of our last meeting , as secondary they want pictures,  im thinking im just going to write a letter and get it notarized in tj stating that i was in tj mexico and that i dont have an airline ticket stubs or passport stamps because were right on the border next to each other and just send in more pictures hopefully it will be enough,,i was also thinkin on going to the doctors over thhere so i can send in my doctors note with m name in it they would know its from tj

From what you shared, it seems like the emails and pictures, which are "secondary" evidence, was not enough to prove to them that you met in person.  Is there any other ways you can prove you were in TJ?  Do you have credit card statements or ATM statements that show a transaction in TJ? What about receipts from a hotel? Any other types of receipts? Anything to show you were in TJ.   I would also submit more pictures from various visits, and make sure you list the date, who is in the pictures, and where the pictures were taken.  Be specific as you can.  I would explain in a letter that you don't have the passport stamps or airline tickets because of your boarder crossing.
