We got NOA2 on Valentine's day!  How fitting!  Hoping the momentum stays up, and we breeze right through the NVC, and the interview scheduling.

WOW, it's usually automatic, and very quick!  For me, it only took 6 days.

Hi everyone,

M and K here. We sent in our petition on January 30, 2014. Anyone have an idea when to expect NOA1 for it?

Thanks in advance. smile.png

Hello everyone.  I'm a member of this group as well.  But, just barely.

January 30th for NOA1 and Check cashed.

From looking at all the info it looks like the CSC is the place to be.  The government's charts show their case load plummeting, and their completions have INCREASED.  (Throw in a couple of people posting near 30 days intervals between NOA1 and NOA2, and I'm quite excited!)

Yes, I'll be patient.  But it doesn't mean I want to!  :-)

Lol its not sad at all because with that, you are able to help others right away, like me! Yay! Thanks so much!!! Will call them on Monday if my fiance's visa does not arrive by Friday.

WOW you're patient!  I'd be calling them NOW.  :-D

Will try and do that. Thanks!

Is it too much to ask for the number? I haven't called NVC in the past and I'm completely clueless. Thanks!!!

Is it sad that I have it memorized?  :-D

I had a thought on this subject.  Maybe TSC is a smaller place, and has many fewer employees than the CSC.  Thus the difference in throughput.

APPROVED!  Visa in hand!

We filed January 31st, have the interview on March 26th, got 221g'd for something that took a LONG TIME to acquire, but it all worked out.  She's catching a flight soon.

Best of luck to anyone still waiting, maybe we'll all be approved, and POE'd soon.

No NVC notification yet.  But I'm certainly ready for it!

Hmmm, sounds plausible. Thanks for replying Chris. smile.png I couldn't find any solid info anywhere about this so I was really confused.

I read on some forum posts that if someone gets that notification, they should expect NOA2 fairly soon. I'm quite skeptical about that. However, if that happens, well and good biggrin.png if it doesn't, well we were prepared to wait anyway, albiet reluctantly. :\

By the way, you already got NOA2 right? Congratulations once again! biggrin.png

How's the procedure after NOA2? Has your case been forwarded to NVC yet?

What I *THINK* it means is that you formerly DIDN'T have a number.  NOW you do.  So, someone has touched your file, and started doing data entry or something similar.  When they did that, it generated you an Alien Registration Number.  And, since that field changed from EMPTY, to FILLED, you got a notification.

That's my theory at least.

Hello all,

The beneficiary here aka K. smile.png

We sent our 129F at the end of January, but received our NOA1 on February, so that makes us a February filer! smile.png

When checking our case status on https://egov.uscis.g...d/CaseStatus.do , saw a notice saying, "Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)", any one else here who got the same message? Does anyone here know what it signifies?

Please share. Thanks. smile.png

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPlease help final review of K-1 packet before I mail off, Thanks.

My only suggestion is to check your signatures.  Make sure that everything that is SUPPOSED to be signed IS signed.  Also, for the multipage things, I held them together with "binder clips"  (Black clips with silver legs).    I also grouped things together, and clipped them.  And, the order of things on the table of contents was the same order that they were in the packet.  I'm a bit OCD, but who knows, it might have helped!

HOLY #######!  I'm in the wrong business!  $5,000?  I, like a GREAT MANY people on this site did it all myself.  There is more than enough info here to allow you to do the same if you have the time to be meticulous about the paperwork.  (I like to say that I checked the diameter of the dots on the I's, and the angle of the crosses on the T's).  I spent about 2 weeks getting all the paperwork together, and the last 3 days before I sent it, I just combed through it, line by line, in my free time.

2ndly, yes, the letter from the company will definitely help, along with some check stubs that show your income matches what they say.  In all honesty, you have a while before you NEED that info (Since right now, they're booking embassy interviews in the LATE MAY time frame).

Yes, of course it's OK.  I have a friend who went to the Philippines to attend his fiance's interview, and then stayed until she got her VISA, and is coming home in a couple of days.  So, YES, it's fine.  Go, have a good time, and hopefully the visa is issued while you're there, and you can come home TOGETHER.  heart.gif

Australia and New ZealandHelp about timing & interview rescheduling....

I would contact them, and just be honest.  It shouldn't be a problem.  They probably know that it'll take that long to get the documents, and won't have a problem adjusting your interview date.

ChrisFurloughNot TellingPhilippines2014-03-13 20:14:00
USCIS Service CentersFast NOA 2 Times

I have a THEORY about what this means.  I think the computer system is set up to alert you when that number changes.  But, if the programmer didn't check for a very particular case, then you would get alerted when it changed from (BLANK) to a real number.  And that is what I think happens.  The field is BLANK, and they update it.  When they update it, the software that watches for updates notices that your record has changed, and sends you an alert.

ChrisFurloughNot TellingPhilippines2014-02-13 21:47:00
USCIS Service CentersCalled USCIS. Got told TSC is taking 5 months to process.

Yes, it was pretty much a useless call as she was basically giving me the same stock answer.

They should have a system that should show your application x in the queue of y.

They can't do that, because of the "out of order processing" that they do for whatever reason.  What I think would be a STUPENDOUS idea would be if they allowed someone to "follow" a case through the system, and document what happens along the way.  I don't know about you folks, but I would be more at ease knowing that they had to do 457 things before it changes from 1 stage to the next, and that each of those things is done by a different person, etc.

Remove some of the black box nebulousness from the process.  (Shoot, I would be willing to document it, and to allow them to view it before publishing, to ally any fears that we'll give away their fraud prevention measures).

ChrisFurloughNot TellingPhilippines2014-02-21 13:10:00
USCIS Service CentersCalled USCIS. Got told TSC is taking 5 months to process.

I think that's their "stock" answer.  Just like "8 weeks at the NVC", or "60 days for the service center to send your case to the NVC".  When in doubt?  Quote the stock answer.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)AP G221

I would check the 221(g) form that she received.  In our case, it listed something that they needed that wasn't provided.  I would HATE for you to sit waiting for confirmation from them, only to have THEM waiting on something from you.  So, in short. get a scan, or photo of the form, and read it.  Just to verify what it says.

United KingdomAnybody Stateside Watching "90 Day Fiance" Stateside?

It is terrible, though I'm not surprised. It is obviously played up for the drama.

But Mike's family, his mother in particular, is so awful to Aziza.

Russ - Gay, in the closet because parents are so religious.  Pao looks like a sweet girl that has been exposed to A LOT.  I really wonder if she used to be a stripper, or worse in Columbia.  Her "I don't mind being almost naked around strangers" makes me suspicious.  Also, I get a SERIOUS gold-digger vibe from her.  I think with Russ' sexual preferences, and his "I'll be out on the rig for months at a time" job, she might be seeking the comfort of another man soon.

Mike (WOW, I see why he had no luck meeting women), and Aziza.  Yeah, her English is a little TOO good.  And it was amazing to me how she wasn't interested in sex until she saw Mike chatting with the 2 girls outside the restaurant.  THEN, she was ready!  Also, I get the feeling that drunk and sloppy isn't exactly a NEW state for Mike's mom.  I think she'll marry him, but only long enough to get AOS, and then she's gone.  She'll find someone else, or go AWOL.

Alan & Kirlyam - He is the most jealous, most controlling man I've seen in a long time.  His transparent reasoning for moving the wedding up was epic.  "I need to move this up, because if she gets out in the world here, she'll realize I'm nothing special, and leave me in a second!" I wouldn't be surprised if she got pregnant on their honeymoon.  (His way to make sure she doesn't leave, and a way to hopefully torpedo her modelling career).   Also, he's 29.  I chatted with an LDS buddy about missionary work.  He said if you were a SERIOUSLY late bloomer, you MIGHT get to go at 23-24.  But once you were 25, you were told it was time to get a wife, and to let the younger members handle that.  So, let's give him the benefit of the doubt, and say that he was 23.  That means when he met Kirlyam, she was 15?  And he cultivated that relationship until she was old enough to leave home, and come to the US with him.  Does that seem creepy to anyone else?  Would you let YOUR 15 year old daughter date a 23 year old man?

Louis & Aya - Let's start with Louis' ex.  Hey-Seuss what a troll!  Milane and I (We both watch the program), refer to her as Trolly.  She's a real piece of work!  Her personal probing questions of Aya would have garnered a "Non of your ***** business!" from me.  It's like she never considered that Louis said he didn't want more children because he was married to her.   I was glad to see that he stepped up, and did the right thing, and got her the dress she wanted.  Also, did anyone else notice the mistake?  He says he doesn't have the money for the dress, but then in episode 5 he says he "put it on his debit card".   Debit card comes right out of the checking account.  If he didn't have the money, that transaction would have bounced.  So, either he meant his CREDIT card, or he DID have the money, and that whole thing was just for TV.

Len & Alina - Web only!  If you guys haven't seen THAT train wreck, you should go to the TLC website, and check them out.  It looks like they were to be couple #5, but things didn't work out.  They tried to film a bunch of interactions with the friends, and family to fill time, but failed at that as well, so it became a "web only" thing.  Len is 48, Alina is 21, and from Ukraine.  Len appears to be wealthy, as he owns a gym or gyms in Arizona.  He has flown Alina to nice tropical places, and spent time with her.  Now, the time for the K-1 has come.  She doesn't go to the interview.  Just doesn't go.  Tries to play it of like "You didn't tell me it was serious!" but fails.  They get into a fight, and she disappears for 2 weeks.  It seems she ran off to Turkey for 2 weeks with some other guy.  The last episode of that should be posted online soon as well.  I can only assume that he called the whole thing off.  She seems to be a party girl who is happy to sleep with you in exchange for you taking her somewhere nice.

You guys KNOW they're trolling for couples for season 2, right?   I was considering it, but with our age differences, and things, they would portray me as something terrible.  And I have no interest in that.

ChrisFurloughNot TellingPhilippines2014-02-23 20:49:00
Africa: Sub-SaharanSpinster affidavit

I would be remiss to not mention this, but I assume since you're on the board here, you might already know this, but here goes.

If you go there, and get married, and come back and file the papers, they're gonna take their "own sweet time" in processing them.  If the K-1 timeframe was painful, then the "I went and got married just to spite you, and here's my K-3" is going to be LONG and agonizing.

I wish you the best of luck as a fellow Oregonian, but that would make me nervous.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)DoS no longer give case number for K1 visa

I have a question about the case # as well.

Would the NVC email the case # and if so, how would I go about requesting that?

This guy has a GREAT website with that info:   http://visaconnection-philippines.com/

Just click on the NVC link at the top of the page.  There's an e-mail address where you provide them the USCIS number, and they won't e-mail you back until they have a case number for you, which they will include in the e-mail.

I see all these estimates of NVC time being 2 months.  I *ASSUME* that's for the I-130 filings.  Is that correct?

I read SOMEWHERE that when it comes to K1 visas, all the NVC does is assign them a number, and toss them in a DHL envelope for your target embassy.  Is that also correct?

Thanks for any info!

Just got off the phone with them.  I had to redial about 20 times to NOT get a busy signal, but I sat in the queue for 20 minutes, to have them tell me that I'm not in the system yet, and that "it will take 8 weeks from the time that I receive my letter in the mail before it shows up in their system."

I know it CAN take that long, I'm just hoping that it DOESN'T.
