K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsINFOPASS Today
One question I ask. I'm planning on Seeing Nadia in Belarus this Summer. I'm only allowed one Visa a calendar year to Belarus, unless we were married. We wanted to get married before filing this I-129f, but understood the waiting time was less for a K1 visa. I wanted to know if we got married, what effect it would have on our petition. He said he couldn't give me legal advice. He did have a list of lawyers that could advise me, if I met the income requirements, Funny, if I met those requirements. I wouldn't be able to sponsor Nadia.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsINFOPASS Today
Well well, More non informative information. Nothing good, other then they have not managed to lose our packet for petition. I made inquires on the information I've been reading on this forum. Basic I was told that most if not all the infomation presented on this site is propaganda and inaccurate. And when I asked a specific question pertaining to my case. When asked the direct question, if CSC is not processing petitions past July 18th, 2012. Then why do I have information from this forum rejecting that notion. Without WAC number he could not verify or deny my claim. So to reiterate, Not much better if any then a phone call to customer service. I might add, this person claimed to be in training with the six months :bonk:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsAttn November and December filers with NOA2s

What is this "infopass" and is it worth trying? We are going on over 8 months and just don't know what else to do. What did he say before you left? Did he put in a service request or take any action?

Thanks

I personally don't believe it's going make any difference, but the meeting just happened today. Shall see what the next week brings. The individual I met with had to relay atleast 1/2 my questions to the person in the next cubicle. I believe he was still in training.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsAttn November and December filers with NOA2s

I called in to USCIS today and got a Tier 2 representative after I told Tier 1 not to bother quoting me info on their website and just transfer me to Tier 2. I am a September filer (Sep 4 NOA1) with petition at CSC. He initially tried to tell me that the processing date was July 18th and to call back when the date moved, and I proceeded to tell him "Listen, that date means nothing, I personally know of people who filed in November and December who just recently got approved, so don't tell me they're only processing apps before July 18th, because I happen to know for a fact you're full of it." He quickly backed off and said since I know of people who've been approved that far after me that he would get a service inquiry going to find out what's going on. Now I don't know if it will actually help in the end, probably not, or if I will even get any concrete info, again probably not, but one thing for sure, it got them to stop quoting the July 18th date as soon as I said that. So my question is, November and December NOA2ers, do you care if we (meaning black hole filers of late July, Aug, Sep and Oct) personally reference you guys when we call BS to USCIS on the July 18th date? It would be one way that you could help a ton of people that you say you're praying for. Than

I had an Infopass meeting today, face to face. When I said I knew of people getting approved in Nov and Dec. The person stumbled. Then said, is this a friend of yours you're speaking about. Don't think they take to kindly to us knowing so much about there lies and incompetency.

Not going to give you false hope, anything is possible. With that said you're petition could be the exception to the rule. Which does seem to be coming up on a year. The exception would be 100 days. Good Luck :-) and stay optimistic.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsAny 30th july Approvals from CSC?

I am trying to find out if anyone have been approved out of Csc with the 30th July noa1?I am reading approvals from csc and got me checking the uscis website non stop but still no status changed it says initial review.

Not sure how much insight it will give you, but if you take and input your WAC #, and start changing the last numbers up and down. It is rather odd the things you will see. But like looking at the Sun, and heavens you can get lost.

The only country she has visited is Ukraine, this has been over the past 28 years. My question is, does she need to list every time for the last 10 years. These have for the most part only been over the weekend, or vacations lasting no more then a month.

This is pertaining to the question, list all dates Fiancée has been outside of her home country. My Nadia lives close to the border of Ukraine, and travels quite often to Kiev, Ukraine from Gomel, Belaurs for shopping. Must she list everytime that she has entered Ukraine and list the dates? We are looking at 28 years of entries. Or just those listed on her must current, in hand Passport?

Hi chuck,

I'm in Gomel with Nadia. That's South of Minsk. From my understanding, the medical exam can be done in Minsk. In Minsk you just go to one place, if done in Warsaw. You have to go to many different offices. Right now I trying to find information about a visa for Nadia for Poland. Will give you updates once we have completed some of the steps. My plan at the moment is to rent a car from Avis in Minsk, and drive to Poland. Hoping to will give us some flexibility.

ranting33va.gif This is just mean. What was the point of responding to the post if you have nothing constructive to contribute to the OP's question.wow.gif His issue was having  to obtain a visa to go somewhere for an interview to obtain a US visa.

Thank you Tosh Love, My point was having to travel 4 times as far, and shelling more senseless money. This is true. You can't get this done in Minsk, Belarus embassy, they are short staffed per the Belarus government. Kiev is 150 miles away, not the 550 miles to Warsaw.

wow.gif I don't think you get my point. My point is it's a joke that people from Belarus have to first OBTAIN A VISA TO POLAND in order to present themselves at an interview FOR A VISA TO THE UNITED STATES. All I'm saying is they should be granted some kind of waiver -- passport should be enough!

Do Canadians have to have a VISA to go to Montreal? No. Do Russians need a visa to go to Moscow? No. Your arguments are invalid.

I know and everybody here knows it perfectly that the whole process is costly and loaded with difficulties and obstacles to conquer. And we are here because we're in similar situations and the forum is for support and help. Good luck on your journey! star_smile.gif

Thank you Laurka for understanding our pain. Nadia is also freaked out by the fact of going to Poland. Never been there, her or I. Her english is slow but Improving with the weeky classes she's been taking at the church. As to why it's this way, I'm sure it's political in some way.

I am not ridiculing you or being condescending.  I was in fact responding to the other person.  I am sorry if you think it was directed at you.

You know nothing about me, and I know nothing about you, and I don't pretend to know anything about you.

I am just saying that this is the way it is, and you can't change it.  You can anticipate it, though.

The visa and immigration process is sucky in a lot of ways, but you can't change it.  Other people have it worse.  Do you know that some people people who AOS in Alaska have to take expensive plane rides just to take fingerprints?  And you have to take fingerprints many times in the overall process?

The immigration process is also very expensive.  Did you know you have to pay $1070 once your fiance arrives to the US, and then another $590 two years later?  You might have to get a new medical too ($200) and pay for travel expenses.  It is not for the faint of heart.

I hear you, that it sucks, but personally I think learning about it and anticipating the sucky parts helps a person cope and accept how it is.

You can write letters to people and try to get the system changed, but most people don't care once they get their visa.

You're not going to get to change the embassy to Ukraine.

Best of luck to you.

I refuse to remain complacent, The mouse in the wheel is not me,,,, Change only comes from placing the Hot Poker in the correct region.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresEmbassy location has been changed

Not every embassy is equipped to deal with K-1 visas.  A lot of people have to travel to another embassy.  Iranian applicants go through Ankara, Turkey.  Many African countries go through Kenya, I believe, and have to travel far there.  Even within the same country, people have to travel far sometimes. Most Canadian applicants have to travel to Montreal, an Russian applicants to Moscow.  There are good reasons for this... do you think the US should use more of their money to have year-round embassies in every city so that K-1 visa seekers, a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing, have slightly more convenience?

Wow! Sorry, By the looks of your Timeline. I don't think you quite understand how difficult this process is or can be, traveling to such foreign lands. We all have our opinions, I was asking for constructive help in the situation, Not condescending ridicule....

Perhaps call the US Embassy in Warsaw to inquire about that. Here are numbers for people calling from Belarus 8 820 0011 0261 or 703 988 7108. Tell your Fiancee to do it on Monday, because today is a national holiday in Poland and the Embassy is closed.

Thank you for the number. I called one ending in 7101, but I think it was just a call center. Sounded like all those times calling CSC,,, LOL...

I will call on Monday, or should say Sunday night my time in Colorado. If we get stuck using Warsaw, It's really gonna suck big time. Neither Nadia or I have been to Poland before, and Nadia doesn't speak any Polish.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresEmbassy location has been changed

Hello Members,

Congratulations! To all who have been approved. It good to see CSC getting the numbers up.

Okay to my question, Originally my petition was filed to have our interview at the Kiev, Ukraine embassy, which is 150 miles from Nadia. Just across the border from Gomel, Belaurs, Minsk, "Belarus does not do K1-visa's". It was changed by NVC I'm assuming to Warsaw, Poland. This puts a hardship on both Nadia and I. First it's 450 miles farther away, secondly Nadia would need to get a visa for a Poland visit. All in all add $500.00. My question is, Can I get it changed back to Kiev, and how do I go about this.

Thank you for any help and input, Ollie
