US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionIs a house number required to receive visa in Philippines?
that is fine... house number is not common in PI. we usually used the name of the barangay. in the province there are also "purok" names used to verify and trace the address..... like in our province... goodluck! rose.gif

Hello!
Got my NBI clearance yesterday and too bad got an error on my address. It suppose to be 183 but they put 193 instead. I applied thru Phil. consluate-Hongkong and im 100% sure i wrote down my exact add where im at right now. So im worried it might delayed things. Called NBI today...didnt know its holiday back home. Would like to know if it will be a problem at the USE with a bit of error on my NBI clearance?

Thanks!

I don't think your NBI clearance would be a problem as long your full name and birthdate is correct, and beside you will get a HK police clearance that it will show your present address. Before, my address in my NBI was my address back in the Philippines while my HK police clearance was my HK address, and it didn't cause me any problem at the USE-HK.

Hello Vj's.. My interview will be this coming Aug.26 but my problem is i don't have a SECPA copy of my MC... I requested a SECPA copy in Makati but it's still negative and they said it will take 6-8 from months after the marriage for them to issue a SECPA if the marriage was held in province.. My Aunt went again to NSO yesterday to see what she can do in order for them give me a copy. The good news the NSO officer said they can give me a SECPA of MC on Aug.26 but the bad news the releasing time will in the afternoon and my interview will be in the morning...

By the way i have a machine copy of MC from Local Registrar duly authenticated by NSO which i used for renewing my passport. My question is will the USEM accept this copy or should i reschedule my interview date again? i just done my medical yesterday and i passed..

Please help.. crying.gif

hi there!
im not sure if they will accept the one issued from the local registrar but you can go for your interview and present it to the pre screener if they will ask you. expalin to them why you don't have a copy of your MC from the NSO... the disadvantage of that is....they will give you a white slip for sure asking you to submit the required documents. but if you can get a copy of your MC soon, you can also submit that soon to the embassy.

goodluck!

hi!

dont worry. im sure you are approved. i've experienced that too. we keep on calling (my fiance and i) but grace (lorraine's partner) keep on telling us i'm not approved yet until my visa will be printed. they are not allowed to give any information about visa approval unless they are sure that your visa is printed. have faith. im sure they will print your visa this week! smile.gif

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWINDOW X
f u received pink slip, the officer in window 38 will also explain what are the things u need to submit or f u need to wait for DV result. the pink slip paper the consul will mark the ducuments f they want additional docs or f they are not satisfied for the docs. u have during the interview. but usually the officer in window 38 will inform u regarding that. and they will instruct u what to do next.

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionsometimes we cant relay the delbros delivery
do not depend to the delbros or expect that delbros will text about the shipment of the visa because occasionally, they don't text. not all the time. even online. better call the embassy. they will tell you if the visa is on printing or out for shipment.

mine was issued august 2008. expiration october 2008..... but i went here september 2008. just try look your visa when you get it.

As stated in a previous post - when issued (the K1) the beneficiary has (6) six months to enter the US. Once in the US he/she will get an I-94 which is valid for 90 days (so he/she will have 90 days to marry the intended US citizen).

The I-94 is what Stevent (above) is referring to, not the actual K1 visa. good.gif

no, i disagree.

my visa was isued august 4, 2008. expiration october 30, 2008.

i entered US september 1, 2008 this is my I-94. expiration november 30, 2008.

that is what i have.... maybe it differs in every cases.

well, goodluck to you!

just wait for your visa good.gif

I always thought K-1 visas were valid for 6 months... anybody else ever heard of them being valid for less than 6 months????

well, that is what i had.... maybe it differs in every cases. i don't know..... innocent.gif

Get all your shot in PI.

It is so much cheaper in PI.

Also go to dentist and make sure you don't need any fillings or crowns. It cost a arm and leg in USA to get Medical and Dental work.

My wife had her wisdom teeth pulled last month in USA for new braces, it cost us $1.000 ( 45,000 php), I could of had it done in PI for about $20 to $50

agree good.gif i am glad i did my dental check up, cleaning and filling before leaving PI. wink.gif

Hello my fiancee was interviewed 8 weeks and 1 day from this date. Is there anyone can tell me how long does it take to receive her visa and by the way they called her about her expired NBI on Oct. 14, 2008. She mailed the new NBI on Oct. 16.
How would i know the position and sittuation of our papers if indeed went NSO or pass NSO already.
