hello VJ members!

i have a question... can i bring dried fish in the US? i am planning to bring some... and also some foods like polvoron, dried squid, chicharon... any idea? blink.gif i am worried if they will ask me a lot of questions bringing these foods during my entry in the US. tnx! biggrin.gif

just means delbros doesn't have the visa yet and you have wait for a few weeks. depends on when you paid your DV. if you had your interview 2 or 3 days ago and depending on the date the DV was paid, it will take a few weeks. we had to wait for about a month from the date of interview to the approval of the visa. and thats not including delivery time...

better wait for ur interview appointment and they will give you a website to download all the intructions before ur interview!

based on my experienced the guard ask me the letter from the embassy. but, i also have my confirmation letter the one that they e-mail me after we call for the appoinment. better try to call them to make it sure.

i think they will send you and your fiance a copy of that because my fiance ( my husband now ) received a letter form the USEM too. the best thing you need to do now is ask your fiance to scan and e-mail it to you so that u can print it. and bring also the confirmation letter of your interview they will send you through e-mail. (a confirmation letter after you call for your appoinment)

i have experienced delayed too while waiting for my visa. i received my visa after 2 months and 17 days to be exact after my interview. "lostgurl 18" know about it, im not sure if she still remember me, we suffered a lot of pain waiting for our VISA. call them once a week it's either monday or friday morning. in our case, everytime we call, my husband used a 3 way call so that i can talk to lorraine or grace too they used to advise us, " call us again next week sir, maam. it is really hard but we need to do what they told us. it is also advisable if our USC partner will do the call.

ask the civil registrar if they already forwarded your name as "rosalie" in the NSO, if they do, ask for BC in NSO then. Go, to NSO bring the papers that will prove that your name was already changed to rosalie. that is just my opinion.

ok. smile.gif my fiance (my husband now) booked my flight and he prepared to booked directly to ATL so that i don't have to worry of the next flight... etc.

tips: when u go out the plane go directly to the immigration information desk and fall in line as fast as u can.
do not forget to bring ur I-94 form, it will be issued inside the plane.
it will take time before you will get cleared for ur next flight so better have extra time of waiting for the next flight than late.
the officers DON'T REALLY CARE IF YOU HAVE CONNECTING FLIGHTS OR WHAT...
