Think mine was about 2 months after NOA1 to NOA2.

Picked up Visa today from courier service, they had almost a week without trying to deliver.  Anyway, Visa is in hand now.  Flight to Newark friday 11am!!!

Thank you!  I was trying that website however, since I was tunneled in on my work computer it kept giving me errors.  Once off the VPN tunnel it showed No Status.  Hmmm.  Just wait a few days as I'm in no hurry.  However, they told her 3-4 weeks...does that seem right?

She finished the interview this morning and had a very stressful day.  However, they were really nice to her and asked a few questions and took a few documents I had prepared already.  One thing to note.  They will not take an Israel police clearance from you, in any case.  It has to be mailed from the police station to the embassy.  Even if someone tells you something else.  We lucked out as I made her go back and request another sent to the embassy as the first was sent to her.

Anyway, Interview is done and they said 3-4 weeks which seems a bit longer than usual.  Is there a way to check if it's approved online?

Watdog first at all thank you for your time... so not everybody get the message that they shipped to the NVC??? or just are the I-130????

Some people get a text update and some don't.  Most CSC applications it seems don't.  I was just as unlucky but didn't care since it still made it to NVC.  CSC is extremely slow making it to NVC, usually 4-8 weeks on average.

but tell me something, do they send yours to the NVC???? and did you received your NOA2 Hardcopy???

Yes, but it took 4-5 weeks to be at NVC.  NVC replied to my email and gave me the JRS#.  Letter from NVC saying they sent to embassy arrived almost exactly 6 weeks after NOA2 hardcopy arrived.

Your sister in law's case is completely different from yours.  I'm willing to bet they applied way before you.  I-130 CR-1 visa's take way longer then K-1.  That's why I went the K-1 route.

Mine still to this day says:

On October 16, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Just send the email and wait.

where I can download packet 3??? please....

I think that I have to wait for the consulate for the interview day,.... Mine is in DR... Good luck!

Packet 3 I found on the embassy/consulate web page.  Google is your friend.

However, here is a good place.  http://santodomingo.....gov/niv-e.html  Remember, not all embassy's consulates send a packet 3.  It says this under the K3/K4: First:  The Consular Section does not mail Packet 3 to applicants, only mail Packet 4 (appointment letter).  Instead, fill out, electronically Form DS-160

I have my timeline....

Excellent!

From NOA2 it took mine from CSC, 4 weeks to make it to NVC.  NVC had it for literally 3 days and sent it to the embassy.  USCIS status never changed to saying shipped.

I sent an email at 3 weeks with the information below and an attached scan of my I-797 (NOA2).  They responded in 7-10 days with the information I needed.

Email:
Can I get the JRS# for my case?  I want to make sure this gets sent to Jerusalem as well.  I originally put Tel Aviv, Israel prior to knowing they wouldn't process a K visa.  Can someone please verify it's getting sent to Jerusalem?

My USCIS receipt is attached.  The number is WACXXXXXXXXXX.

What's the advantage of getting the case number ASAP? Don't we have to wait until it gets to the consulate, and they contact us for packet 3? (Which would include the case number)

Or is there something we can do with it in the meantime?

We were able to schedule the medical, get all the police reports and sent off everything she needs.  She still hasn't received a packet 3 from the Jerusalem consulate but we got the packet 3 off the website and did everything.  Medical needed her JRS2013# so we had to have it to perform medical.  Also, filed out the DS-160 online.

This K1 visa process, the USCIS and the NVC has been quiet an experience.  Before I started this whole process I thought that after the NOA2, things were easy. So wrongggg!. September filers, whats more upsetting: A)  Wait  a few weeks for the important things to happen, i.e  background checks completed, alien # assigned and NOA2 issued B) Knowing that nobody is working on your file and is just sitting somewhere waiting for God knows what to happen to get shipped out!!!  I dont know, but I am more anxious now than before the NOA2, waiting for a number that will dictate how my next few months will be! Many things are depending on this number right now, a wedding, trip to go to the interview with my fiance , honeymoon, book time off from work.  sad.png sad.png sad.png sad.png

I know the consulate were using doesn't allow you to go with to the Interview.  Are you sure they allow you to attend?

For her to enter on a tourist visa for the purpose of getting married would violate the tourist visa requirements and we told them that we were in the process of applying for a fiancee visa and wouldn't be getting married until that was approved.  The immigration offical seemed very pleased that we understood the rules and policies and were following them to the letter.  With that, they let her enter with her daughter and we had a great month together during the summer.  When she comes in December, she'll have all of the paperwork with her to provide the backup that we're following the proper process and I don't expect that they'll give her any trouble.  It helps that she has businesses in the Philippines as well as other committments that help prove that she plans on returning.  So we've continued to believe that if we do everything on the up and up and follow the process and rules that we won't have any issues, which so far has proven true.

It does if you proposed while she's overseas.  If you proposed and got married lets say after 60 days then it doesn't violate the terms of her visa as she entered as a tourist and was a tourist until you guys decided to get married.  Much faster and cost less money.

I don't believe she will be allowed to enter in December as she has an immigrant visa pending.  Technically if she enters on a tourist visa at this point she already has intent to marry you.  Now you are entering on false terms for the tourist visa.  I recommend doing a ton of searching however, I believe she will be denied entry.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsSeptember 2013 Filers

My first post to this forum.  I found this site after I filed our I-129F, but have been reading up on the site ever since I found it.  Definitely on pins and needles waiting for the NOA2.  Initial filing 9/12/13, NOA1 9/17/13, alien registration number changed 10/8/13.  Radio silence ever since.  So hoping to hear something soon.  My fiancée is coming again to visit 12/8 for another month, so looking forward to seeing her as we haven't had time together since August.  Kind of hoping that things work out that approvals go through and maybe we can do our interview together here in the US.  But frankly, we'll take the process as it comes and are just hoping that it's not too much longer before we can be together full time and start our lives together.

Good luck to you all.

This is confusing.  If she had a tourist visa she could have come over.  Marry after 60 or so days and file AOS.  Does she have a visa to enter the US?

As for the interview, it has to be done overseas for the K-1.  My philly fiancee is currently working in Israel and confirmed it would be ok to do the interview in Jerusalem.  However, the interview has to be done away.  She shouldn't enter the US while her petition is waiting.  As for the interview 90% of them have to be done alone. The exclusion is if you have kids you can bring them along if they are immigrating with you.

Yay! So it seems it's taking about two weeks after approval for it to be sent away. I've tried to get an idea as to when he'll maybe get an interview because this is moving wayyyyyy faster than we expected. I suppose the fact that London is dragging their feet with interview dates will drag it out. I'm thinking maybe February-March-ish.

February is the latest.  NOA2 is valid for only 4 months I believe.

Keep us posted as to when yours arrives at NVC. I see CSC has an enormous delay in sending the files to NVC and I'm curious what TSC's time looks like. I noticed those who have posted Alien Registration Number updates were at about 18 days after NOA1 with NOA2 following approximately 14 days after. Tessyht was approved in I think 31 days, so this seems to hold true. We shall see. Fingers crossed that's the case for us and we get approval in the next couple of weeks.

My Alien Registration number was updated on September 9th.  NOA 2 was October 16th. 35 days from Alien Registration number till NOA 2.  Total time was 41 days NOA 1 to NOA 2.

Scratch that early medical exam, we needed the case number from what the consulate sends us.  Would that be the same as the DS-160 prints out or is it different?

Hey everyone!

For the sake of clarity when you guys indicate how long it took to get your NO2  are you guys counting working days only or inclusive of weekends ?

Also are you counting the days date the package was sent  or the date NOA 1 was recieved?

Thanks for your help!

I counted days.  September 5th to October 16th.  25 days in September + 16 days in October = 41 days

The Jerusalem website has the packet 3 document however, they don't tell you the medical information.  I ended up finding the correct doctors here.  Just sharing in case someone else is in the same situation.  You can choose the embassy and it will find the medical information required.

I am really happy so many of us Sep filers are already approved.  I did not expect that.

Now, what are you guy's doing for the next step? Calling NVC?  What number are you calling?

Please share your strategies on how to move on as quickly as possible to the embassy interview.

Thanks

I haven't done much yet reguarding NVC.  I filled out the I-134, got employment letter, and printed certificate of deposits, Original W2 for her, and my tax information for 2012/2011.  She's scheduling the medical now in case there is any issue (also I may have to leave Israel in 7 days), as well as getting passport photo's.  Normally medical is performed after packet 3 is delivered however, she has no means of transportation to Jerusalem (other side of the country) after I leave.  Once it's at NVC we will start requesting the police certificate from Israel, and Philippines.  Her mom is going to fedex the Birth Certificate, Certificate of Singleness, and NBI after NVC tells us they have received.  Medical lasts 6 months so I'm hopeful it won't take that long to get to Israel.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestions for K-1 process after noa1 but before noa 2.

Yes, we will be processing in Israel.  Actually, I have to call and change the embassy to Jerusalem now as apparently Tel Aviv doesn't do any K visa's anymore.  Here is the information from the Jerusalem site.

Apply for any required police certificates as soon as we provide you the application with Packet 3, and in any event, at least four weeks before your interview.  Police certificates are required from all locations where the beneficiary has lived for more than 6 months after the age of 16.  All Palestinian ID holders living in the West Bank or Gaza must apply for both a police certificate from the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Interior AND an Israeli police certificate from the Israeli DCO (Civil Liaison Office) in their place of residence.

Since she is currently in Israel and hasn't visited the Philippines for a few months should she request now?  Her visa stamp would show that she hasn't left Israel.

Thanks Simeon.  The generated certificate of deposit is a bank statement certifing your deposits in all accounts.  I think it will be fine since I qualify on just annual salary alone.  It's more of providing more information for them.

I'll just have to get the birth certificate, do you know if she needs the kids even though they won't be at the interview or going to the US?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestions for K-1 process after noa1 but before noa 2.

My fiance is from the philippines and working in Israel.  Almost 10 years she's worked in Israel.  She has two kids but they live back in the philippeans with grandma.  I've submitted the I-129F and recieved the NOA1.  However, I'm now working on the next phases of the paperwork and need input.

1. Can she use a copy of her birth certificate for the interview or does she need an actual brith certificate from the Philippine government?  Also, will she need the kids birth certificates even if they aren't going?

2. Can she request the police reports now?  She will need 2, one from the philippines and one from Israel.  Do I have to wait until NOA2?

3. On the I-134 do I really need a letter from an officer at the bank.  Or can I print the certificate of deposits?  Its the same certificate of deposits I send for loans and I've had no issues, plus the bank is only an online bank so I have no idea whom I would contact.  I should qualify off salary alone but figured I should have it just incase since gathering documents while in Israel is sort of a pain.

Thanks for your help!

(although it won't add up the differentials cray5ol.gif)

It doesn't matter.  Look at it the same as a bank loan, they won't add those in either.  They go only off base pay.  To calculate base pay take your hourly salary then multiply by 2080.  However, it really doesn't matter cause you should qualify without the differentials.

2nd job is only per diem so it's not fixed

I'm really not understanding this 2nd job.  It doesn't need to be on as your above base salary should qualify you.  If this is not taxed income as most per diem isn't taxed then I definitly wouldn't put it on.

does my annual income in I-134 form question 7 that I have to fill out, be the same with whatever annual income amount's written on my letter of employment?? to be consistent?

Whatever you claim in this line you need to have letters from companies stating your annual income.  Meaning you need two letters of employment if your going to put both down.

I don't get paid by the salary; I get paid on an hourly rate basis.. and I work 36 hours/week.. I also get paid differentials like night differentials, weekend differentials depending on when I was scheduled to work.. so the problem, am pretty sure, Human Resources will only add my regular pay rate and that's just $48k.. A very big drop from last years.. Will they accept this??

I'm actually in the same boat.  I think you just have to make over like 30k or so to pass the poverty guidelines.  So your alright there as my company just put my base salary as well even though I get night, weekend diffs.  You could also put in the second job if you want however, I think you might need a letter of employment for that as well.  I would just put the one, and include the W2's from 2012.  My base is actually low as well and I usually make 20-30k with OT/Diff's etc.

You can also show stocks/savings accounts, mortgage etc.

watdogMaleIsrael2013-09-22 03:16:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 form (Affidavit of support) questions.. needs help pls..

Annual income is verified by a letter from your employer.  Get a letter from your current employer, search around and it tells exactly what it needs to say.

On Line 7, I would put your current employer.  It's fine you've had 2 jobs, just include both W-2's and your 1040 will show that.  Since you don't have 2013 W-2's you can't submit that information.

For I derive an annual income it will come right off the letter from your employer.

TLV doesn't handle K-1 visas but it's good news in a way bc TLV are very difficult and rude according to everyone I have heard from including my fiance.
