Don't worry about getting denied, if you can apply for  waiver count your blessings. I had to do one and got approved and is now in the process of returning home. I also have been waiting a while my situation is different i can understand. They've had my passport for over a month now and i have checked a few ppl who've gotten their approvals and i can say that i can range anywhere from 5 days to several months. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Is renewal of current passport to include married name necessary for NVC?	I was in a similar situation. It took about 3 years after my hubby and i got married before i changed my passport. The paper work we sent to NVC was with the passport i had at the time which didn't have my married name, however once we got the date for my interview i went and renewed the passport and collected it before i did my medical. Thailand	Getting a housewife credit	Adding someone as an authorized user doesn't build them credit.  They can charge to the card but if you don't pay they have no legal responsibility to the account.  Most CC will tell you this if you ask will you report this card to her credit.  It's called piggybacking as described above and because so many people did it to build credit and then the economy collapsed they don't report it anymore as it's inaccurate to the consumers spending.  You could have anyone piggyback years ago and never had met the person.  Adding her name to utility bills won't build credit either as your not borrowing money and then paying it back.   I'm in the same boat and she got a secured credit card on her own to build credit.     As for proving relationship: Joint accounts (we don't have any) but you can use them Adding name to house (not really sure what's the point for you) I'm in the same situation Name on car title (my car is paid off and she can't drive)  again pointless, as I'd have to insure her as a driver without a drivers license Insurance (rental apartment is on both our names, house in other state is under only mine) I'll bring this document in Healthcare, both our names are on the health plan with my work  I'll bring this to the interview Life Insurance, she is listed as my beneficiary, I'll bring this to the interview Joint filing taxes, I haven't filed 2013 as I'm still waiting for overseas documents.  Even if I filed now it wouldn't be joint as we got married 3 months ago.  I don't understand this one as sometimes it's beneficial to both to be married filing separately.     Are you concerned about building credit for the Mrs. or concerned about proving the relationship?	watdog	Male	Israel	2014-06-24 17:17:00

Is the photo of the man and you together look a little odd? Maybe the interviewer asked him some rather easy questions about you like what's her birthdate, what state does she live in and he drew a blank. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	i dont' have tax returns, what else will work	I believe if your yearly income is less than $8,450, you are not required to file a federal tax return. When you file I-864 you would put down your income for each of the last 3 years and then have to write the IRS code whatever it is that states you are not required to file. You then can use your assets in place of income to qualify to be a sponsor provided you have some. Otherwise you'll need a co-sponsor. If your assets were required during the years you did not file and its considerable, you should get a tax accountant or get advice from a tax attorney and file late returns. I fear if I apply for K-3 and then apply for a tourist visa it would be denied. I do not think you can apply for transit visa if you are going to fly in and then travel in the USA to a port to board a ship. I believe it has to be a tourist visa.
