IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	+ marks on G-325A	HI, I think we have everything together now to apply for my visa now. However, when I am filing out the information I am getting those plus marks how much do I abbreviate ie: Las Vegas, NV to L Vegas, NV? Should I also include some of the material we were going to use for a K1 even though we got married. I am not adjusting status in the USA and will be returning to Canada to finish the process so we haven't combined anything bank accts etc, will this be a problem? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Some general questions so I can try and be prepared	Hi, K1 visa are issued out of Vancouver BC, if you live in the western provinces the process is much faster, if you have to go through Montreal (Manitoba to the Maritimes) the wait is much longer. We chose the CR-1 Visa, as I was coming for a six month holiday. I want to work as soon as I get to USA so this Visa was the best choice for us. Good luck in what ever road you chose to journey. Hi, What happened to the VJ timeline, all of a sudden it jumped from possible adjudications in 4-6 months March to July of 2009 to "Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between December 28, 2009 and July 1, 2010*". IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	I have additonal information for our visa application	Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows if I should send this information in, and if so where in California do I send it to - Laguna Nigel? When I lived in the states as a teenager, I received my social secuity card. I knew that you are only one number for life. Today we went to the local Social Security office, and explained that my husband would be needing my number for when he files his taxes. The woman behind the counter typed in some information, checked my Canadian passport and BC Driver's liscence and wrote my number down and handed it to me. She was also going to change it to my married name, until she realized I was not an American citizen and had no visa stamp in my passport. When we filled out my application in August we didn't have my SSN, as I thought it would be hard to get until I legal proof that I was intitled to re-obtain it; and I had long ago lost the original card, so now I am wondering if I should send a letter with my SSN so they can add that information to my CR-1 application. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Just married an american and want to move my children and I (canadians) need help on direction	I concur with Carla, we are in the process of petitioning for a CR-1, we have waited so long I would never dare try to adjust my status while in the USA - due to the fact if the immigration people feel you knew you were going to get married before you came to the USA and planned on staying it can result in a ban of up to 10 years. I lived in the USA from 8 - 18, I thought I read somewhere that if you had lived in the USA you did not need to get a police records check for the years you lived there. I know I will need to get one from Canada, and that is not an issue, just if I need one from New Jersey from the ages of 16 - 18 I am not sure where to go and what to do. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	HELP!	Congrats first off, as a Canadian you are legally allowed to stay in the USA for 180 days (not 6 months) and you can start the process for either a CR-1 or a K-3 while in the USA.
