For a few of the documents (police records/ DAS certificates/Bank officer letter for the I-134) if you don't already have them it could take you some time... ie they won't be here by christmas if you don't have them. We have the Medical exam and fees all taken care of and are waiting on the embassy and snail mail. Since we already know the embassy has our I-797 approval from NVC; why not just send in your completed packet 3 now... save a week of snail mail time? and get ready for the interview. Unless I am mistaken they make the calendar of interviews the month prior from the DS-2100s received. If received prior to mid month (15 Nov) they will schedule interview mid the next month (Dec 09). if you wait for snail mail correspondence to tell you to send in package three you may be waiting till January for the interview. Yeah, I have downloaded packet three already and have all the forms they need ready to roll, and I have my medical this thursday, with the results available the following tuesday. I filed for my police check November 1st, and am still waiting on it. I am going to email Sydney now and ask them to confirm my package is there, and if they give me the go ahead I am going to mail my DS-2301 ASAP. I can't do much about the rest of packet three until at least next week. Thought I was going to have to wait until all the paperwork was ready to see her again. Part of the great thing about living in the middle of the Pacific Ocean is that it is closer to travel between Singapore than to the East Coast of the US! So, we're married I got my K-1 approval in the mail late on Monday May 17th, and first thing Tuesday morning flew out to Oregon via Vancouver. There was a huge backlog of people in secondary inspection at immig. in Vancouver, so they had to put me on a later flight... not impressed... but I made it! After 4 days of craziness, we got married on Sunday the 23rd, and it was PERFECT! It rained a bit during the ceremony, but at least it didn't pour like it had earlier that morning! We had so much fun and were just so happy to finally get married that little things like that didn't matter- it actually made it more enjoyable And the clouds made for some sweet pictures We honeymooned in Hawaii (which was a surprise to me since Aaron planned the whole thing)and had an amazing time! Relaxed, had adventures, worked on our tans... good memories for sure! Then we came home to our tiny little house which we have been working on for the past week, and I LOVE it!!! It is so stinkin cute! Nothing compares to being married, and I'm so excited for you guys who are about to tie the knot!! I don't have explorer on my computer at all, so that's why I was having such trouble. We used Mozilla Firefox and had no problems. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2009 K-1 Visa filers	Ok, so I REALLY want to put "APPROVED" all over the place, but ..... John's Visa is "approved pending further documentation". Apparently they didn't like my divorce documents and want "State seals" on them. ah, well.... it's an easy fix, just more time consuming and delays (having to request the same documents AGAIN and paying for them AGAIN). Doesn't really affect us in the least as John isn't planning to activate his K-1 until May 11th or so, but I just wanted to be done with it! John said the interview was very easy .... they did not take some of his paperwork (he doesn't remember what exactly ... ) and we think it was because he did D-230 online. The guy interviewing him asked very few questions, did not ask for any supporting evidence of our relationship (no pics, no phone records, nada), just told him to get the certified "with seals" documents to him along with his passport and they will return it to him within two days with his Visa inside. SUPER easy! John also said that there were two other non-immigrant Visa applicants there, another K-1 and a K-3, and they both walked out needing additional documentation as well. The K-1 needed a criminal waiver (ouch!) and the K-3 for divorce documents as well. congrats!! oh so close!! so we mailed our packet 3 on march 6 and have not received any word yet. i emailed the embassy in tirana and we are still waiting for a response, its day 4 within their standard 10 day email response period. patience, patience, patience... have a good day all!	kristik	Not Telling	Albania	2010-04-13 18:12:00

L got some bad news yesterday -- the landlord sold the apartment his family rents and they've 10 days to move. Oy, what a shitty thing to do, their lease isn't up for another six months. Just what he needs to be worrying about with all the immigration crapola we have to finalize (not to mention, taking off work, etc) - he thought they'd be fine where they're at until he was here and couldn't do anything about it. It's really good that I had been a slacker yesterday, I was going to mail Easter candies (and this really cute card I found on etsy), but it looks like it would've arrived at the wrong apartment now! When everything's settled, I "get" to go and inform USCIS that he's moved, and he'll do the same to the Embassy (so everyone's got the same page). My fiance is an Albanian citizen currently living in Italy and wants to interview at the consulate in Naples. Are changes in consulate allowed at this point? I emailed the Naples office and have not had a response yet. He's willing to fly back to Albania for the medical exam and interview, but it would save lots of money if he could stay in Italy. I kept trying, somewhere along the lines I accidentally pushed a 3, and IMMEDIATELY there was someone on the line! Woot!! Got our case number, they received our packet on 1/27/10 and sent it to Vancouver TODAY!! YAY!!! WHEW! Called NVC today at 12:45pm Hawaii time got a busy signal, then I immediately called back, got through, pressed 3, and got an operator instantly!
