We just got our interview date because we called the Embassy. We still haven't received a hard copy in the mail yet. We thought we would have had an interview date for late October or early November. To our surprise our date is December 23. I wanted to be here in the U.S. for Christmas this year...but God had another plan. This will be the best Christmas ever I just know it :-)

where is your embassy/consulate? i am case complete also according to nvc but still no interview date

thanks so much! lets hope and pray that we can make changes/correct the errors on the day of our interview.I red about things like ommiting middle names in filing ds260 and they called nvc told them that they can do it at their interview day.God is good and lets stick to all His plan for us.

I called the NVC today and I was told that we can make the correction at the interview. I feel relieved and at the same time, I'm afraid my husband won't be able to pass the interview but I believe he can make it, we'll just keep on praying. I just picked up my medical results today.
Tokyo British Clinic, sealed big envelope.
They didn't tell me anything except not to open it and give it directly to the embassy people on the day of interview.
I think if there was something wrong, they'd tell you... because, its your body you deserve to know.
For all I know, the results and the xray are in there.
So don't worry too much about it. The police certificate is also a sealed envelope. They just want to make sure its the original copy from the clinic/police. cause people probably would make changes on it if there was bad results and wasn't sealed.

I forgot the requirement, but I remember I sent 3 affidavits from my sister, brother, and brother in law. They all attended the wedding. They also wrote the affidavits in english, so I did not have to submit the translation. I think it is better to include affidavits from someone that really attended your wedding, just my opinion. That should be fine. good.gif I know we worry over every little thing in these forms but you will be fine. In my interview I was not asked anything at all about my plans in the US; they just confirmed my husband's work status. If the issue did come up at some point you can just confirm that you are aware of the regulations / certification you would require to work and that you are not planning on pursuing that. What should I answer on question #22 ON DS-230 form that asks what occupation I intend to work in the US? I do not intend to work when I get there first. I am actually a doctor in my country, but I don't want to fall under the act about unqualified physician. I just want to be there to be with my husband, I do not intend to practice medicine. Any advice would be a great help. Should I just answer I do not intend to work or what? Thanks a lot!!!

I am talking about DS-230 the form, I dont quite understand what you are asking. Of course the beneficiary/intending immigrant has to sign the DS-230. This thread was about if myself as the beneficiary can send myDS-230 along with other papers+barcoded cover letter that we will get after paying the IV bill.

and YES u can go download the docment cover sheet ..print it and include it as instructed

Dear All, I am about to finish the process and waiting for the completion of my CR-1 visa petition. I have been reading many topics here about age difference and its relation to the final interview. The thing that I would like to ask based on my case here is :

1# If the wive is 5 years older than the husband will it be a problem at the interview, will it be a bad thing?

2# To all either doctor/nurse/health worker who apply for the CR-1 visa, how was your experience? did you get any problem with getting your visa at the interview, since I know we need a certification IF we want to work or practice our skill. BUT IF we don't? we just want to be with our spouse and never intend to break any law?

Please share your experience or opinion, thank you all for your help!!!

I did have read the Guide and NVC site, I know that they require us to send either the original or the certified copies of Birth certificate, marriage certificate and police certificate. BUT to all those who just have filed and also have their case completed recently.... which one is less problematic? ORIGINAL or CERTIFIED ? Thank you for all your responses !!!

yes, since I read your poost now I become anxious...I tried to search if someone else has te same situation as ours... anyway, when is your interview appoinment checklist was sent to you? maybe there is a mistake from NVC... just hope like that. Anyway after I read some posts it popped out into my mind why even the NVC said our case is completed but then at the interview there was still something wrong happened, like they need other documents or etc... Dear All.... I have my case expedited due to my husband's military deployment to Iraq on September 8th, 2009 ( and now already Aug 22nd crying.gif ) NVC told me that they already forwarded my case to the USEM, BUT until now the embassy has not received the documents from NVC. USEM told me that they can not interview me if they have not received it. I already checked and tracked any documents sent by DHL from NVC since that date, and yes there have been several sent every other day to my USEM. I am running out of time, in two weeks my husband is deploying to Iraq, and I have not seen him for 6 months after we got married. I wonder whether I have to be worry cause how come NVC told me that they forwarded my documents on Aug 12th, but until now the USEM has not received it? any suggestions or advice would be a great help. Thank you ....

For the alien and case number, just write "none" since she has not got ones yet.

Then for the first step you only have to file the I-130 and G-325 form (yours and your wife), and remember the G-325 from your wife has to be signed herself (I assume you're already back to the US now). Then for the rest forms are for the NVC stage. Try to read the instructions carefully when you want to file. Good luck.

Firstly, I'd like to congratulate you on your marriage. Regarding your questions about the step after you get NOA2, I think you are missing something for the NVC part. Cause after you get NOA2, your case will be sent to NVC then you and your wife will have to submit some documents to them, and in this stage there is no exact time frame. It really depends on whether you give the documents they need or not. Then after the NVC accepts all the documents, they will forward the case to the US Embassy in Jakarta and the NVC will set the date for your interview. Usually you will have around one or two months ahead from the interview date, this interview time based on the availability time the US Embassy in Jakarta have to interview the intending immigrant. While your wife is waiting for the interview, she will be required to get a medical check, which can only be done in Jakarta (read the US Embassy in Jakarta site). And yes, I do not know whether you can accompany her while she is being interviewed. Cause intending immigrant is being interviewed in a small room. Well, you may call the embassy to ask for it. Again, good luck on your journey.
