Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussiona few quick questions
Thanks for your replies it's helped me relax a lil. The only thing is I can only get one affidavit from a girl friend of mine, I had asked another friend but she is to busy and won't be able to get it notarized. do you think it's worth only including one affidavit? or should i just leave it out all together?

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussiona few quick questions
ok this might sound stupid but does it matter who signs the I-751 form first and who signs it second? I'm the Green card holder and my husband is the US citizen?

In my passport my alien # is 8 numbers long (hand written when I arrive the first time thru immagration) but on my green card it 9 do I include just he 8 or the full 9?

what are ACCO'S and can I get them from office max or somewhere like that?

are affidavits necessary?

one more stupid question...

I'm really freaking out I'm planning on sending everything off by Friday pm and my green card expires on the 22 of this month with I still be safe to say here after it expires?

below is what I have aas evidence

A copy of my green card (front and back)
A copy of the car insurance in both our names
A copy of our Military Star Card, Sears and check and saving (could on get from the 8-22-06 do you think this would matter as so we have only printed a copy on that months statement and the lastest statement... showing we have had a joint acct. from at least the above date and do currently??
A copy of my husbands life insurance stating that I am a benificiary (with our old address on it)
and photo's of us together

and thinks for any suggestions !!

My Fiance interviewed on August 27th and they gave her a paper that said Administrative Review. They would be in touch. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

If it's already left the Consulate (unusual before 60 days after the interview) then you probably won't get a chance to deal with Vermont at all. Customarily, they just close the file because the petition approval has expired. It's their cop-out way of dealing with such issues.

Again, your fiance was not falsely accused of a material misrepresentation. She lied and you conspired with her to tell that lie. You didn't meet on the internet. You were introduced by her uncle. This is a very serious matter, that could result in here being banned for live from entering the USA.

Yes she was falsely accused am I'm tired of repeating myself to you pushbrk. She told them her uncle introduced us after saying we met on the internet which was supposed to mean we "talked" for the first time on the net. It is all about wording. We did meet on the internet, but not in a way such as matchmaking sites. She told them we met through her uncle which is the truth. And had she hid the fact, I think it would have turned out better since they would not suspect him paying me to bring her over here which is not true. One of the top reasons for denial on Ellis's site was the petitioner knowing someone from the beneficiary's family. Another one was having a ceremony and plunging into marriage shortly after meeting for the first time. Both of these apply to me and so caused a red flag for the CO.

This forum is causing me more grief then helping at the moment so I will limit my responses to anyone who has any helpful suggestions.

You wrote the following. What have I misinterpreted?

She was told to stick to 1 story and ended up using 2 stories. We met through her uncle who lives near me but her uncle wanted to hide that fact so told her not to mention him. We were going to use a story that we met on the internet solely, but when she got asked about relatives in the US, she mentioned him and then she made it worse saying he lives close to me. So of course they aren't going to believe the ridiculous chance that he just happens to live next to me but we did not know each other. So it was really her fault for deviating from the story she said she was going to stick to. I just can't believe this would happen after waiting just over a year for all this to happen since I met her in person.

it is my understanding that if you don't provide all the paper requested, your petition and visa will be held up until you provide it.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionInterview and possible sidetrip to Hong Kong
QUOTE (tony1343 @ Aug 10 2009, 07:27 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi,

So, we have our interview coming up in several weeks. My fiancee and I discussed going to Hong Kong for a day or two several days before the interview, since it isn't too far from the consulate in Guangzhou.

However, she's looked into it and says she doesn't think she'll be able to go to Hong Kong. She says she could go there one of two ways. The normal route I guess is to get some card or permission or whatnot to go there (but not a visa stamp since Hong Kong is part of China). For this she says she would need to go back to her hometown (she now lives in Shanghai) and it would take several weeks (which we don't have).

Second, she says she could get a visa for a country like Thailand or Malaysisa (which would only take several days). This I don't understand at all, but she claims this would allow her to cross into Hong Kong. She says this would probably be bad though and doesn't want to do this. Something about when she goes back to China it would be notated in her passport that she didn't actually go to Thailand and Malaysia. Then when she has her K1 interview at Guangzhou, they might see this and not trust her. I'm confused on what she is talking about. Perhaps doing this she could go Hong Kong but it is actually not following the rules, so then the U.S. would see she has engaged in some dishonesty when it comes to visas or something and not trust her.

Anyone have any ideas? I'd like to go to Hong Kong with her but it isn't that big of a deal. Now she's trying to get me to go by myself for one day, but for such a short two-week trip to China, I don't really want to spend any of it away from her.

in order for her to travel to HK or Macau, she will need to get a visa. usually it will be for only 7 days. How fast she can get it depends. She will need to get it where her hokou is, which if it was Shanghai, would be quick.

I would not try to travel or get a visa to Thailand/Malaysia. you are so close now that you could jeopardize your interview with travel to another country. Your SO is correct in this matter.

Having a visa to HK will not jeopardize you interview however, and yes, even though HK is part of China, chinese citizens need a visa to travel there.

It will be better to go after the interview while you wait for the visa.

Good luck on your upcoming interview.

Really sorry to hear your story.
When working with government or large companies, it is hard to get them to make change.
No one in the organization really cares. Your are just a number.
Example, the IRS can give you advice but they say if it is wrong, too bad. They are not liable.
Attorney would be not worth pursuing because their fees would exceed the $400.

You can keep trying hopefully someone will hear you but I wouldn't waste too much time.

Wish you luck.

US Citizenship General DiscussionUS citizen needs to transfer large amount of money to the US
QUOTE (izainn @ May 16 2009, 07:39 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I just became US citizen and need to transfer $50,000 from Poland to the US. I have a partner in business and the money is in her business bank account in Poland. She has red flags under her name and at this point all transfers that come out from her name are blocked by treasury dept or IRS. I know that I can transfer up to $10,000 without any problems but I need the whole $50,000 ASAP. I do have personal bank accountin Poland and one in the US. Someone told me that I can transfer $50,000 at once but need a proof where the money came from in Poland. I haven't lived there for 11 years, so work or savings will be a hard one to proof.
I am wonder how often I can transfer $10,000 under my name, is it $10,000 every month and I will be ok. Can I transfer $10,000 each week for five weeks by western union to get $50,000 and I will be ok? I appreciate your comments and help.

unless you're a legit business, this information will be given to the DHS/Treasury Dept. If you are doing it in lots under $10K, it will go through but if you are doing it over several transactions it will trigger a red flag.

They may not stop you but someone will be checking into it (unbeknownst to you).

I would do things up and up so as not to jeopardize your good name - IMHO

good luck

CanadaFiance lost his immunization records
you're going to need the immunization record for the AOS I-693.
You will need a civil surgeon the review the shot records and provide the I-693.
My suggestion is to have it. Probably save you more time, money and effort trying to relocate them.

When my fiancee arrived, the civil surgeon said she still needed more shots in order to pass the AOS and for him to sign the I-693.

Seems just easier to take the shots, there aren't that many anyhow.

Good luck
