I guess I would ask where it is you would be flying from? Using all those travel web sites is good, however they don't always have the best price! trust me been there and still doing it! I called Hawaiian Airlines and I got a flight in August from Honolulu to Manila RT for $500/includes all those taxes/need to enroll in their mileage program! Compare that to some of those website offers and you'll see a savings of $300 to $700! Bottom line: call your local carriers and see if they are offering anydeals!

However in my experience asking for more is uncharacteristic. Your gut is giving you a feeling. Trust it. Discuss it. If you feel uncomfortable with her responses then you have to make a call. We were in the same situation as you you a couple of months ago. The co told my wife that her annulment papers looked fake. We brought all the papers they asked us to . We had the final decision, decree of annulment and annotated marriage certificate. The CO told her that she want to see all the court paper to include all the trial paper work. We gave it to them 2 days later it was like 80 pages. It took them 4 weeks to approve the visa so just hang in there. It is going to be a hard couple of weeks, because the feeling is going to be oooo so clase but yet so far. Tell your fiancee to call DOS every couple of days, and to call usem in manila once a week. When i was in your situation i was calling DOS everyday and USEM every 2 days. AS you already know your hubby had to buy a pin number to call USEM. When i called i used the same pin number over 20 times (they say it only works 3 times). So tell him to keep trying to use the pin thast he already bought and not buy a new one until they say it does not work.



Wow! I feel for you. Was the CO American/Pinoy American/or Pinoy? Just curious. We are in a bit of a situation too. Magie (Filipina) gave all her divorce paper work originals to the court. The PI Court approved her Petition for recognition of foreign divorce. They gave her copies of everything. Now the NSO wont give her annotated mc because they want original. And the DFA same but they got the original from the PI embassy in Korea! I'm really beginning to dislike the system in the Philippines. It seems nobody trust anything and money talks! Good Luck!

That is what I thought considering most can't make travel arrangements until the dreaded Delbros delivers. We are trying direct on PI airlines but way too expensive and full. China Air or Continental airlines are relative cheap.

Of course going through Guam immigration is alright because so small and all filipinos.

Hey guys,
Question on POE. So far, only medical forms and CFO asked what port my fiancee will arrive in US. Once we recieve our visa and go make ticket arrangements, does it or will it matter if the we enter into another port.
Example:
We put honolulu on form but may use Continental to Honolulu. The problem is it goes through Guam which is US territory and requires all to do immigration there.

Does anyone see an issue with this? I do believe the visa is generic to any port and not one port specific.

My fiancee will ask the immigration officer this Thursday once interview is over.

Our 90 day mark is coming up proceeding my expiration of my green card.

I have two questions:

1. can you send in your application early?

2. do they always ask you to do fingerprints? the reason I am asking is because I will be out of the country for 4 months. I will be in europe and it would be silly for me to come all the way back for a 10 minute finger printing session. Is there anyway around this? should I communicate this on my cover letter? Would it be possible to do fingerprints at an Embassy in Europe??

Yes it is. Me and my wife took a trip to the Philippines in June and she had an expired green card along with the NOA1 and everything was fine.

off the top of my head this is what we have:

copy of my current green card
our rental agreement for the apts we've rented together
bank account statments
tax returns (we'll have them finished by the time we file)
my husbands in the military so I have a dependant ID card
I'm on his life insurance policy
car insurance & copy of both drivers lisence with same address on it
a few photo's of us together
I could get a a friend to write a statement for us.

do you think that would be enough? almost everything is in my husbands name except for a few things that are stated above...(that I can remember) I went crazy last time when we filed for my green card to get all the things we needed and she didn't want to see ANYTHING !!

ok so my permanent residence card expires on the 22 of this month I just got back from holidaying in Australia... I knew I should have sent this all off or at least started it before I left for back home!!


This is what I've got

Joint bank acct.
Life insurance policy with me a part beneficery
Auto insurance
Rental aggrements
my dependant ID and my husbands Mil ID.

what else is there I have to do to complete everything I read in the instructions about fingerprint cards Form FD-258 what is that? do I have to do it?
Also when my husband filed he didn't have a an apartment (was living on a ship at the time) so used his parents address in Puerto rico, but was living in Hawaii at the time he started the filing but now we have an apartment in Hawaii so should we file though california, or do we file through vermont?? I just don't want to slip up.

I just reread the instrustions and your right eXTRemNoD it doesn't have to be notarized, but i just realized that my other friend that is writting us a letter has only know us for just over a year, and the instruction state that they have to had know me/us since my conditional residence was granted, the thing is I don't know anyone else (besides the first friend) that has know us since then... should I just send them both in and habve my fingers crossed?
