Philippinesscheduling interview help pls

try scheduling thru online..Its easy and no fon charges..here is the link and info on how to do it:

http://www.ustraveld...ppointment.html

choose K-Visa Appointment Scheduling below not on the left

ONLINE SCHEDULING PROCESS:

To log in:

a) the beneficiary's Passport number
b) the case number from the letter you received from the embassy saying you may schedule an interview (MNL000000000)
c) the beneficiary's Date of Birth
d) A password of your choosing (Password requirements)
e) Enter the same password again to confirm
f) Enter the security code as you see it in the image
g) click the Proceed Button

REMEMBER YOUR PASSWORD! YOU NEED IT TO OPEN THE APPOINTMENT LETTER THAT IS GENERATED BY THIS WEB SITE!

Now it asks for more information about your case. i don;t remember exactly the layout but there are a few pages you navigate through. They ask this:
a) Beneficiary's first and last name
b) Beneficiary's complete mailing address
c) Beneficiary's phone number(s)
d) Beneficiary's Nationality
e) Beneficiary's current country of residence
f) Where beneficiary's passport was issued, the date it was issued and the expiration date

Make sure and choose the K-Visa Appointment Scheduling link not another one

Do NOT choose "Save and Exit" – Continue on to choosing your appointment

You are confirmed that your interview has been scheduled. There is a link to click on to see the appointment letter that you need to print. Clicking the link will take you to another page that has a big button to download the PDF file containing the one page letter with:

A) Your UID and a bar code
B) Beneficiary's name passport number and address
C) The date and time of the appointment

The letter is called at the top:

Immigration Address Confirmation Sheet
MANILA

Thanks Maganda for this! I've been looking for this information talaga. I'll try to schedule online next week :)

PhilippinesForm I-134 Affidavit of Support Questions

well what i'm trying to ask is this...one of the questions on the I-134 says that "I have other personal property, the reasonable value of which is:"
lets say for example, I combine all of my furniture that I own, car, various items in my house...do I have to also send proof that I own these items? Or can I just throw a ballpark number of what I think my stuff is worth and that's that.

PhilippinesForm I-134 Affidavit of Support Questions
Hi everyone :)

We are completing all the necessary documents for our interview. But I have few questions in filling out the I-134.

Question #1

If I'm a born citizen of USA, do I have to answer question 2 on the form? I just put my age and that I've resided in the USA since my DOB.

Question #2
For question 7, if I state that I have other personal property, lets say my car, valued at $2,000.00..do I have to show proof that my car is worth this much? Or can I just put a generalized amount of money for all of my current household possessions (furniture, car, etc) and not have to show proof of anything?

Question #3

What do I put for question 11?

I appreciate any reply and ideas from you

Thank you :)

PhilippinesAppointment Confirmation Letter

Greetings again all!

I just finished scheduling the interview appointment for my fiancee. I did it online. Went to immigrant visa section and then scheduled appointment from there. When I downloaded the appointment confirmation letter at the end, it was kind of weird. I was wondering if this was the same letter that everyone else got. The letter is more of a table that has 2 columns. The first column had rows that were titled: Name of applicant; Passport number; Appointment date; Appointment interview time; UID number; addressed courriered to and Hold for collection. and that's it. The 2nd row had the answers from the previous rows.

My question is this the right confirmation letter that everyone received? Will she get another confirmation letter? and lastly, the letter doesn't show her middle name because when I filled out the blanks for the scheduling, it never asked for her middle name, is it ok if her middle name is left out?

Thanks guys.

I got that weird confirmation sheet too. Is it the right confirmation/appointment letter? That's what I saved and printed.
And also, I can't go in their system again and it keeps on giving me the error Invalid receipt no or passport.

I think that was it,the consular had a bad day. After reading your post I emailed the US Embassy in Manila and they replied quickly that the "CENOMAR" has no "VALIDITY"!So i think because your Fiance was married before he did that, although you just got it a Month before!you were right, he was nitpicking! Must had a bad day!

Such a relief to hear that :)

My CENOMAR date is April 12 and my interview is on 20th this month, too bad if they will ask for a new one because it is not expired yet!

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionchange the last name now or wait until filing for I-751?

Dear All,

I would like to ask for your opinion based on your experiences regarding change the last name.
I want to add my husband's family name to mine. I still have about a year and a half before I have to file for Removing Condition. But if I file for Green Card Replacement now (I-90) I have to pay $350 then after that when I want to file I-751 we have to pay $465.. that is money for sure. So I was thinking if it is possible to change the last name when I file for the removing condition instead of now while i am still in conditional status.

Please help. Thank you in advance.

I had the same problem. The lawyer that we hired when we applied for CR1 visa, hyphenated my last name to my husband which I do not prefer and so it ended up my passport and GC has different last name. We wanted to change the name but like what you said, it's just a waste of fees. So, we waited 'till it's time for the ROC. We just filled up the form with the right name we wanted and that's it. No hassle. LOL tongue.gif So, what I would suggest is that you do the same. Have a good one. biggrin.gif

I see smile.gif well that is a relief to hear that... thank you very much for the response. I really appreciate it wink.gif

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionLate to file for I-865

I'd assume you'll have to file with the date you moved. Remember you already filed yours so it will raise eyebrows if you put a different date for your spouse. USCIS will imagine you'd both move together since you're a married couple. I'm sure people file late or realize late that both have to be filed and USCIS doesn't give them grief over it. Good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionLate to file for I-865
Hi, I would like to ask what if my husband (the sponsor, US citizen) is late to file for his change of address. I, the beneficiary, already filed for AR-11, when first time we moved. I think we have moved for about 4 months now. I read that the I-865 should be filed within 30 days of our move. Will we be okay if he files it now? and what date should he fills in for the moving date? the first time we moved or the day he files it just now? thank you very much for the response !!!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionLast name and property

i have a count document changing the last name form my madden name to my husbands.

Couple of thing to remember ?

If you are taking your husbands LAST name as your LAST name, then you don’t need a court document. All you need is your marriage license, and you should be able to change it on Drivers License, social security and other department will accept your marriage certificate as proof for the change.

If you are taking any name other that your husbands LAST name, then you need a court document showing a legal change of name. Its not a simple document to get… there are some formalities that you need to go through… fist you need to file a petition in the local court for name change … then you need to provide proof that you inform all your debitors( whomever you borrow money from) about your legal name change… then you need to publish your name change in the local news paper for a month… if their aren’t any complaints against you name change then you appear before a judge and he/she will approve the name change .

Of course these rules are different form county to county … this is what I had to go thorough for my name change. I haven’t change the name on ss, divers license …etc because the SS administration told be that it be better if I change the name on the green card first… I have just filed I-751 and will see how things go

Hi, thank you for the response :) I just want to take my husband's last name. Actually I was planning like you are doing now. But then next year before filing my I-751 me and my husband are planning to buy a house, that is why I was thinking if I better change my name now on the SSN. What do you suggest about that?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionLast name and property

When you file for I751, they ask in the form if you have used any other names before. In there you can state your maiden name. So even if you buy a house/car with your maiden name you can still use those documents.

Thank you Abhay, wow you had a fast process of lifting the conditional status ? congrats :)
Indy&BenjiFemaleIndonesia2010-06-04 11:48:00
Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionLast name and property

After you obtain your legal name change document, don't forget to update and apply for a new social security card with your new name. SSN is your real ID in the US, as the A# is your real ID to USCIS. Keep your record updated with them and you wouldn't have any issues down the line with IRS or any other authorities.

Thank you me&me for the answer, but I thought to add last name in my SSN I have to change my maiden name to married name in my permanent resident card first. I did change my last name in my passport already, but for SSN the condition to change the name is after I change my last name with USCIS, which I am going to do when I file for removing conditional status. Cause if I did it now it is going to cost me around $350, which I dont want. So, the case is that I want to buy property and then put my married name, and then when I file for removing conditional status I will change my name on my permanent resident card then go to SSN to change my name on it. What do you think? will it be okay?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionLast name and property
Hi, if anyone could give me advice on this matter I would really appreciate it. Well, I am planning to add my husband's last name when I file for removing conditional status, which is still be later on the beginning of June 2011. Right now I still have my maiden name. The question is if next year we are planning to buy a house and a car, that we are going to put my name on it as well, can we just put my married name already? I mean, I hope this will not be a problem or affect anything with tax or anything. I know that when we are filing for tax return I will still use my maiden name since it has to be based on the name on SSN. But how about buying property? will it have any effect? Thank you for anyone answering this, have a good day!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionLast name change on ROC
I am planning to have my last name change when filing for ROC. I read that many have done it successfully. My question is did you submit copy of your marriage certificate or not? I got married in Indonesia, though the marriage certificate already has both Indonesian and English language in it, I assumed I still have to submit the translation too. The problem is I only have one of the certified translation of it. I was thinking if some of you have made it to get the name changed without the marriage certificate. Otherwise, do you think it is sufficient if I just copy the translation I already have? Thank you so much to all who try to help

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionLease agreement
Hi, I would like to ask your advise. I am going to file for ROC this June but as usual I am a bit paranoid so I am starting to gather evidences from now. What I want to ask is about my apartment lease agreement. The story is like this. I came to the US after my I passed my interview on Sept 5th, 2009. Before I got my visa my husband, who is the petitioner was living in the military base. So by the time I told him that I got my visa and was going to the US he was trying to find for a new apartment outside the military base. He managed to get the apartment for us, but since that time I was on my way to the US and he had to sign the lease agreement, so he just put my name in the lease but since I was not there at that time, so only his signature on the lease, not mine. But there is my name on it. Oh, but when we renewed the lease 6 months later I signed the renewal lease. Do you think it is okay?
