K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures125% above poverty line??

Yes, generally your salary would be what you state as your current income. It is NOT your current year income. If you get a raise next month to $72,574, that will be your NEW current income effective the day the raise is effective. If you get fired next month your new current income at least for that day will be $0.

Ahhhh... I understand now... Thanks guys :)
Lara & MhikelFemalePhilippines2011-08-17 13:20:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures125% above poverty line??

This is incorrect as well. It's line 22 in most cases from a 1040 form which IS "total income". AGI is only used if using a 1040EZ to file taxes. HOWEVER, the figure from the last tax return never goes on an I-134 unless the sponsor is self-employed. You've got a lot of things confused. May I suggest you read more on this subject and learn about it before posting more misinformation? Please?

No. The I-134 asks for current annual income. That's your gross.

Oh ok... So my Emplyment letter stated "salary: $68,736"
I guess that would be my annual income not my gross since gross would mean me having to work my salary plus any other overtime I put in... Right??
Lara & MhikelFemalePhilippines2011-08-17 08:26:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures125% above poverty line??

Forgot to mention, the amount they are setting is Adjusted Gross Income or AGI. Not annual income. Think it's line 22 on a US1040 tax return. Jim.

How come the I-134 form ask for annual income... Isn't it the same as adjusted gross?

Thanks everyone...
I picked up my employer letter and I will make a letter stating that I been in school during those tax return years. I also have several recent pay stubs and recent checking and saving account bank statements. I just need my bank letters which I'll try to obtain.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures125% above poverty line??

They do need your three years of tax transcripts but from what I've seen ..they look at the past years but consider the last one the most important of previous earnings... 2010 so your way above in 2010 and in this current year they also look at closely so your way above in 2011 so you are fine....

so in other words considering yoru above poverty in 2010 and the current year.....no need for joint sponsor...

Get your fiance here and good luck!!!

Thank you for your quick reply... I was worried about my 2008 & 2009 tax returns and I had no idea what it meant for 125% above poverty line. Anyway I'm still waiting on my case number from NVC.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures125% above poverty line??
Hi guys,

I was wondering if I need a joint sponsor.
My 2008 & 2009 tax reruns were below $12,000 due to me being in college full time and working a part time job. I graduated from a university in 2009 and got a successful fulltime job afterwards. My 2010 tax return is about $40,000 but this year annual income is now $68,000 ... Can I sponsor my FIANCE?
The poverty line in HAWAII is $21,162. I'm not sure how this 125% works.

My fiancé had his interview today in MANILA. He pass the interview portion but need extra documents regarding his birth last name WHICH is different from his current last name. He already has all required documents regarding his current last name which he has used all his life but a delayed registration on his birth certificate.. they the embassy notice he did have a different last name at birth. He will try to submit another NSO BIRTH CERTIFICATE with that old last name and his current last name, ANOTHER NBI CLEARNACE and ANOTHER CENOMAR on their request by friday.. Anyway I was wondering how soon will I find out. I'm flying to philippines this Sunday and I hope to bring him home with me on Nov 5. I hope the documents are cleared and he gets his visa on hand. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCertificate of Citizenship
I'm currently gathering the required documents to submit with the I-129F petition & have a question that I would like to post. I'm a U.S. Citizen by parents & am trying to find out if I have to submit my original Certificate of Citizenship to the USCIS, or if they will accept a certified true copy. Also, if I have to submit the original, will it be returned to me? Can anyone help to answer these questions?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresUSC Birth Certificate
Hello,
I too am a U.S. citizen through my father. I was born in the Philippines & have a Department Of State Birth Certificate issued by the U.S. Consul in Manila. There is no identification number on this form, however, I do have a Certificate of Citizenship with a certificate number located in the upper right corner. If you have your Certificate of Citizenship & are filling out a form I-129F, you would use this information to answer question number 10. Hope this helps.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHELP! We're getting nervous about what happens after he's here

He has to obtain US Citizenship.

Otherwise he has to maintain the US as his permanent residence.

Or you can just start again when you want to come back.

There are some exceptions that might help, are you being moved by US Gov or US Multinational?

I'm in a similar situation. I will be moved by the U.S. Government approximately 1 year after my fiancee arrives in the states & we are married. How will the move influence our situation, & will she be able to move with me?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPermanent Residency
Hello all! I have a question to post, but first a little background on myself. I'm in the U.S. military & am stationed in the states. I just filed my I-129F petition yesterday & am hoping to have my fiancee here with me by the end of this year. My current assignment ends November 2007 & I will be making a permanent change of station at that time. I'm not sure if my next assignment will be overseas or in the states, which brings me to my question. If my next assignment is overseas, & If my fiancee & I are married at the beginning of 2007, will she be allowed to move with me in November 2007? I've heard that although she won't have her permanent residency, she will be allowed to move with me because I'm in the military. Unfortunately my local JAG office doesn't have an immigration attorney that I can speak with, so I'm turning to this forum for help. Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresReceived NOA1
Hello. I recently mailed my I-129F petition to the CSC on 5 April & it was received by the CSC on 6 April. I received my NOA1 today with a notice date of 10 April. I went online to the USCIS web site, & my case was last updated on 12 April. Are cases usually updated this soon after the notice date, or should I be worried?
